Truly such a great series overall. We're overdue for a new entry. I'm surprised we haven't seen one considering Tropical Freeze was pretty well received if I remember correctly.
I'd still give DKC3 a solid 8/10. Kiddy was a bad idea for them, but think back, this is about the same time we got baby Mario from Yoshi Island. Also I agree 💯 on the stage with the roll up doors and rats. If your gonna give us a slow tedious level, do like the other games have- give us a banger song like Stickerbush or Aquatic one
I actually rather enjoyed the "english country" or whatever it's supposed to be setting from the first worlds and the overworld, the limited free roaming on the map also did a lot to excite my imagination as a kid. But the tonal shift from the first two games and their exitic settings was pretty brutal and I must say I didn't go in very interested. In some ways it felt like a predecessor to Banjo Kazooie, tonally.
Ya for me, the first worlds just didn't capture my attention like the first two games, but a big part of that could also be because I wasn't a fan of some of the earlier music. Overall, a great game though!
@@bobbydazzler329 nah brother DKC3 had way better overworld, way better level design, better visuals, better coin games, better bosses, and kiddy is fucking rad
What are your thoughts on DKC3?
DK3 was always my favorite. It holds so much space in my heart. Don’t get me wrong, love the other 2 as well but 3 holds so much nostalgia for me.

Exactly. Stickerbrush stages are something to look forward to just off the music alone.
I loved the game even when was a the bottom of the 3 games. In music, I loved Rockface Rumble

Dkc 3 > Dkc 2 all day non-negotiable
I'd say DKC 2 is my favorite, but respect to your opinion I think DKC 3 gets more hate than it deserves.
@@NindieGames Both are fantastic games but in my opinion 3 has better visuals and level design but the music in 2 was better overall.
No , generic looking enemies and kremlin designs, kiddy Kong sucks, music not as memorable, no Rambi... and I can continue

it's an ok game but not nearly as good as the first 2 , yet strangely there's still some ppl who prefer the changes it made to the gameplay....
I agree, I don’t think it’s a bad game by any means, but it’s not as fun as the first two.
Dkc2 all day…alot more difficult making it more immersive
