From the first time I heard this song up until now I can’t help but to cry. For some reason I hear it and just think someday i will have to say goodbye to someone I care about especially as I see my parents getting older. Those first words of the song get me every time
Mark is my all time favorite vocalist. I feel such a kinship with him that it comforts me to know that I’m going to get 57 years on this mortal plane just like he got. When I was told that my cancer had beaten surgery, radiation and chemo and the only thing left was to wait for Jesus to knock on my door, late last night, early this morning at age 57, Mark immediately came into my mind. See you soon Mark.
Tough one to read, honestly. I hope you make the best of the days you have left. I admire the open mind you seem to have, you seem couragious. Greetings from Utrecht.
Screaming Trees got better and better and better, they never put out an album worse than the one before, and as 30 years encroaches on their swansong, Dust, I cant help but feel a mournfulness and yearn for those years gone. This song encapsulates that feeling, at least for me.
Damn, you put it so well. Dust has left a well worn groove in my grey matter but everytime I listen to it I cant help but feel sorrow that it was the last of those tall trees' recordings. It tugs at my heartstrings every damn time, especillay now with Marks and Vans passing.
Don’t discount the Final recordings cd. But yes, Dust is a masterpiece. There’s a 2 disc version from England, I believe. I most of the extra material but it’s a nice collection of b-sides and whatnot. I’m a Lanegan completist/obsessive collector. It’s a bit of a problem but he’s one of the very best in my opinion. I’m fortunate to have seen ST in 1996 with Josh and Queens with Mark and Grohl, Mark with Isobel and Soulsavers, Gutter Twins and solo. I’m SO happy for the experiences.
Mark Lanegan and Van Conner will live forever in our hearts!
Dang, I didn't know Van passed away too.
of course
Yep

Long Live To Van Conner and Mark Lanegan
Incroyable. Love seeing JH w/ them.
Need the rest of this session uploaded, so good. Brilliant performance from an incredible band
Yes, please!
Se te rompe el corazón. Cuánta belleza, señor.
Barrett Martin, getting it done!
Barrett is a musical dynamo. My #1 pick for a drummer/percussionist/vibes/upright bassist, etc. He rules.
as soon as I saw the Ovation GP I said "oh damn Josh is playing with them" lol
Meus Deus essa guitarra aos 2:03 na boa . 😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
