The Sleeping Tune, one of the most emotional bagpipe tunes of all time!
This is the tune that always brings a tear to my eye!
Many times I listened to The Sleeping Tune Track on Gordon Duncan's CD growing up! I'm amazed at how musically expressive the bagpipes can be in a slow tune with so few embellishments!
I've gotten so many requests over the years for doing a tune tutorial for The Sleeping Tune, but I've never had the sheet music for this amazing slow air...
Finally, I've found the original sheet music for the Sleeping Tune by Gordan Duncan! I purchased Gordan Duncan's First Tune Book, which supports the Gordon Duncan Memorial Trust. This is a great charity which helps young pipers in Scotland keep on piping on. 🙂

How do you breath so long? What's your secret?

I can't circular breath, so I just take a big breath. focus on breathing just enough, but not over breathing. Hope that helps! More beginner piping videos at my site. Happy piping 😀 workshops.getbagpipeready.com/
