Nice video stu diesel heater looks good too but just to let you know the plug on the 240v power supply is illegal in the UK as it has no fuse inside the plug would recommend swapping it for a uk standard plug that has a fuse 👍
Have the previous model and working fine. The reduced fuel consumption bit taken aback ! Are they using a smaller fuel pump , if so , KW rating less ? Did notice that my previous all in one red tin can heater type had a lower fuel consumption per hour then hcalory suitcase. I put this down to been able to set fuel /air ratio lower say 1.5 for pump stroke. Maybe they have reduced the stroke rate at setting one. Is the case now bigger to accommodate the fuel tank. Good detailed overview of this new model.
Looks decent that! Best thing I think is that the exhaust outlet is more accessible. I’ve got another Amazon brand in my mancave with a turret mount in the floor and a 12v power supply. Was a bit of a sod to connect everything up at first. Works like a dream though. You don’t need an expensive make as long as you install it properly and swap out things like the thin fuel pipe.
"What if"...... you could plumb the exhaust from the case into a domestic radiator, or another heat exchanger, then back out to the existing one leaving the building? I wonder how much you could extract on the way through and how much it would lower the temperature of the pipe leaving the building (OR a van?) That might be a LOT of useful heat recovered? Maybe enough to pre-heat water for use in a shower or the sink? you only need 39c for a shower.
If you have a large van, the cheapest option is to purchase a domestic house solar panel from City Plumbing. Longi 410W panel (£56) and pair it with a Victron Smart Solar MPPT 100/30 (Amazon £98).
@ glad to hear it, the jubilee clips supplied with most of the Chinese Heaters are not fit for purpose Imagine getting a Van exhaust fitted and the jubilee clipped it together 🤣
They're not rubbish at all ,if money is no object for you then the russian built one is the way to go , however for normal people, the Chinese diesel heater I have is absolutely brilliant
Great vid as usual
just bought one via your link great discount thanks

Yes didn’t know that, have fed it back to them 👍🏻♨️
@@VanologyConversionsgood point, I’m thinking of plugging into an external plug socket that has an rcd, do you still think it needs changing.

Cracking video .. will be looking at getting one of these .👍👍
They are great for a man cave ♨️🚐

Exactly mate, the cheaper ones are decent if fitted properly and monitored with a co2 alarm 👊🏻🚐
Im looking at getting the standard heater forna van. What upgrade parts do you use to improve your diesel heaters?
We upgrade the filter, mounting turret, fuel line and clips 👊🏻🚐
Can you show us where you install them in the vans and what upgrades you use. I assume you don't use the "suitcase" ones
I will do a video soon on one 👍🏻🚐
Looks good
Thank you 🚐
Nice Stu. I'd like one for my flat this winter. Landlord might have something to say if I start Core-Drilling the walls though.
I’m sure he would lol 🤣🚐

I have seen this done before and they reported it to be very effective. ♨️♨️🚐
Be careful with the 240v it looks like the plug is not a fused one if so just use an extension lead that will give you a fused plug
Yes didn’t know this and have fed it back to them 👍🏻🚐
how loud is it when running?
To be fair they are very reasonable, the most noise comes from the blower itself which is adjustable 👍🏻♨️
Do you have a CO2 alarm recommendation?
We use fire angel from Screwfix 👍🏻🚐
no problem, whatever pays the bills aint it, long as its decent kit
Wouldn’t recommend anything I ain’t used for a while and tested them 👍🏻
Hi,Can you recommend a solar panel supplier? Cheers Ty

@gjt2209 Many thanks
@@gjt2209That’s a hell of a saving on the usual prices! Any caveats?
Exactly what these guys say, we use house solar panels, we personally prefer the all blacks 440w high efficiency panels ☀️
We get them from bms technologies or bimble solar 👍🏻☀️🚐
👍😎

Please stop using jubilee clips for the exhaust. For £4 you can use the right part, an exhaust clamp
We use our own clips for connecting the exhaust 👍🏻🚐♨️

They are rubbish and when they are tightened up to where they need to be they buckle lol
Rubbish for campers
No good for campers the suit case style but their normal ones have been spot one 👍🏻🚐
