I'm Japanese. Sorry if the translation is incorrect. I found this video when I was struggling with a drawing. Even though I don't understand English, this video was very worth watching. I would like to watch it again and again and study it. thank you.☺️
I like how you did a second example skin tone too, most always just use fair tones and I think that’s why some people have trouble coloring darker skin tone’s because a lot of shading tutorials use fair tones.
Don't forget! Light skintones prioritize form shadows, while darker ones prioritize bounce light, making them more colorful than white skin. And no matter the skintone, any skin will have SSS
I missed you showing the Layers but then I realized it's not a tutorial so it's understandable. You did a lot by separating each style and explaining smtg I'm really grateful for. So thx
I’m at kind of an impasse in my progression atm and this video really helped. Everything I do lacks value and I wasn’t sure what to do to study it. Def going with greyscale studying for a little bit, very helpful, thank you!
this is helpin me alot with shadows, highlights and lights. i like to draw and colour but its never good and the more i want my drawin to be simple the harsh and complicated it gets. hahah and my goal is to be able to colour and do art like the ones in 8:40 , simple but so amazing. thank u!
I usually don’t comment on art tut vids cus they mostly don’t work but damn this video had a lot of concepts I didn’t know abt even after making art for years😢😢thank you so much for your videos🥹
Quick correction: in 12:16 there are actually 2 light sources here, one is the 'direct light' as you said, but also the other from the 'ambient light' in the shadows. Because if there is no ambient light and only one light source, the shadows will become completely black just like in space, unless the ambient light is the reflection (due to e.g. walls) from the direct source ofc. Your videos are great. And sorry for the nerdy attitude lol.
I just started drawing and I came upon your videos (amazing btw) and I saw your daily routine how you do gesture drawing for practice. Should I do that or is their anything else you would recommend.
What about an "effect" video? Most of digital artists love to add lots of 'fancy' stuff ( sparkles, rainbow reflections, lines of light, etc.) Don't know how these are called, but they look amazing. It would be nice to know how to not add too much as well.)
youve got the best painting style tutorials if youre an artist who's transitioning from cell shading to softer shading. The clothing video was kind of confusing though tbh
@@nanimuanani I think it's a bit more detailed and fits my art style better. My whole art style sort of screams "soft," so cell-shading doesn't really work well for it! I also just wanna try something new and actually be able to use both styles whenever I want to!
off topic... you videos about guide/tutorial/studing for beginners (and not) are very usefull and interesting. Keep it up, thank you! Great video as always
Just wanted to say you’ve come a long way in just a year, I almost thought this was a WOLP art video with that thumbnail. Also what happened to your old videos like the AI storyboard one?
Is possble a video over object ( like ships ) for color and light in general for example i ask this because i just did an piece of zelda wind waker and when i try to do the same process that i usually do for the face over tit desnt work at all i dont know why
Hi, thank you for the great video and I love your drawings! Could you please make a video of how you organize layers or steps when it comes to layering colors/ rendering. I feel like I always start my paintings well and similar to yours but then get lost in the sauce later on. Even just uploading uncut painting video, would be super helpful!
Hi niro am a noobie with digital art and wanted to ask you about certain brushes what do you use for blending? default blend tools in csp? from what I've seen you're using gpen airbrush and lasso but the blending Im not sure if i should use blend, blur or any other blending tool in csp kinda lost with that

i like the vide, but think you should have showned the layers, colors and tools for better visual aid also.
hell yeah
Bro! Good shit. Amazing video.
5:32 does anyone know the equivalent of doing a shadow layer on procreate?
You can create a “multiply” layer on top of your base colours to shade! (But there’s other ways you can do it)
Love the tutorial!❤ I have a question. When adding the midtones do you start a new multiply layer or continue on the shadow layer?
Different layer!
@@artenkai how do you deal with the bleed when two layers meet?
