I have two really special books that I needed translated from Hindi into English. Can I scan this text into Word and have them translate into English? I have a Hindi friend that can help me to polish the rest up, but to have these books professionally translated would cost me a fortune, which I don't have, lol. Fine. Very straightfoward and easy to do. The thing is, this technique works for short notes such as yours, but I want to translate a longer one, of several pages. Google Translate has a 3900 character limit. This makes the whole process that you describe much more complicated.
Would I be able to have two table columns in MS word where one is the original language and the other one is automatically filled with the translation?

The other easy way is to try to change your "language" at Google settings some how when you print something it must or shall give you an option to translate or not.
Thank you for this. But...as any translator...even this one doesn't correct it right. No translator does. So you still have to fix the mistakes yourself.
What good is it if the translation is not "perfect" as you said. I would not want to send a translation in fear of it saying something I did not mean or wrong.
I'm getting a notification that the translation failed. and there is no further explanation. 😓 What could be the causes why so I can address??? I'm going from English to Spanish. The Word doc is 225 pages, have auto TOC, have images inserted. Thank you in advance!😀
I think that the only languages that can't be translated are dialect languages like ones from Italy for example, "Sicilian or Calabrese." Or it could be other languages in other countries- where do you find them to me is a mystery. I know the real Latin language probably can't be translated but it's still spoken by some. But there are many people that speak the dialect languages I mentioned in my message and wonder if they go down the same road as the real Latin languages or if they can be found anywhere in settings.

I wanted to change a document from Portuguese (Brazil) to English, I did all the translation changes as you described but all it's doing is giving me a copy of the original Portuguese document, any idea why this is happening? I moved my S10 while the transcription in English software was on and it accidentally switched on transcription into Bengali. I tried converting the technical doc back to proper English and instead got serial innuendo translationon regarding MILFs. Needless to say the translation from Bengali back to English did not take.

Hello mate, I use the microsoft word mobile application to prepare a list of English words and repeat it regularly. In the application, in the review tab, it says read aloud, but there is no language option. There is English to eliminate spelling errors, but I cannot find the English option for reading aloud. Is there a more beautiful and useful application than many known applications such as microsoft word, excel, notion so that I can prepare this list? There are 7 columns in my list. Word, phrase, explanation, example sentence, synonym, collocation, and Turkish. I have purchased Word up premium lifetime but it is essential to create my own list for regular repetition.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the very informative video, but I'm afraid to say for me it did not want to play ball, It let me get to the stage of clicking on review, then into translate, i selected translate a selection, selected to translate from Thai to English and then it will not let me highlight any txt and nothing else on that page works. I have to use a snipping tool to put my document in to word, so i assume this is why i can not any further as you can not highlight any txt. Any advice would be greatly received as i Have now been trying for a couple of hours with no successful outcomes using various different ways of translating a document. Many Thanks Andy B
As a professional translator, please don't let machine translation do all the work for you. A professional human translator is always needed, even if you want to first run it through machine translation software then have a human look at it. The reason being is because there are cultural, linguistic, and ethical differences that a machine will not understand because it relies on previous input. It'll only have a certain size of memory and only have certain capabilities. It can't understand how societies, cultures, ethics and the language attached to them change over time. Professional human translators do. It's why it's a full time profession. If you need to translate things regularly, please contact a professional human translator. I view this as the same as using Google to self-diagnose. If you were really sick and you didn't know what was wrong, would you rely on a machine to diagnose you? No, you'd go to a professional doctor who has a degree and has spent time studying the subject. Translation is the EXACT same. Don't do it because it's foolish and you risk offending someone, getting the wrong message across or coming across as lazy. I will be making a RUclips channel myself to help debunk theories regarding translation and showing you how it's really done, by a professional!

when you copy paste the translation...why does it highlight some words? And I can't get it off.
