As someone who grew up in Europe and didn't watch a lot of movies, this was actually a really helpful explanation of how the Oscars work. I never knew you got to make your own list.
I like how the main difference between this and Jake and Amir is that while in Jake and Amir the progression was how Amir slowly built up confidence and became more despicable, Geoffrey really never does anything irredeemable and is much more of a realistic kind of dumb character, and his intelligence stays the same while the main change is how everyone else reacts to him.
Honestly its refreshing to see someone who isn't sleeping on Seventeen Again as a serious contender for Best Picture... I think this will be the year it finally takes home the trophy
