Watched this a few times... your voice sounds similar to Tori Amos. Really sharp sounding tone to it and you project your voice really well, especially when hitting high notes. Do you do vocal warm ups. Any tips? I'm starting out. I write songs but I want to be able to sing louder naturally and in tune without shouting.
Samuel Galvin hey! Thanks so much! I don’t warm up as much as I should, however, I’m very conscious of how I use my voice. I had classical singing training for 2 years which was game changing for me, learning to resonate and amplify my voice in my head, take my throat of the equation, supporting the sound with my diaphragm and core and practicing power and dynamics using classical techniques, it’s given me a strong foundation for sure. My advice would be to look into classical singing, and see how it can benefit your range and power. The projection classical and opera singers achieve and with such ease is second to none, and a lot can be learned from that. All the best with your songwriting! 😊👍
