About 3-years shy of 60, Lynda Carter, sans surgery, is arguably the most beautiful woman in the world. I've seen 'Intimate Evening with...' twice now, at Feinstein's NYC, and like here in this video, she is completely at ease delivering classic material while engaging her audience at every turn. Her voice is superb and her stage presence assured. Carter is one of an ever-shrinking number of performers with true star quality.

WOW! This may be the hottest number I've ever heard Lynda Carter do and certainly the first song I've ever heard her sing that was perfectly suited to her voice. She really just slinked this classic right onto a flatbed truck and drove away with it. Loving the material she's doing these days. Bravo.

I love this song. Rita Hayworth was so great in "Gilda". Yes. I know it wasn't her singing. PLEASE Lynda, put this out on a cd!!!! You are fantastic!!!!!

Rita Hayworth, in Gilda did the same dance. Anyone remember the movie. The Marvelous Lynda Carter played Rita Hayworth in a t.v. movie. Both are hot.

The Wonder Woman of the comic books had a very long life span. In the TV show, she did not age from the 1940s to the 1970s. I am looking at this clip, and Lynda Carter looks the same as she did 30 years before this song was filmed. Obviously, she has revealed her secret identity as the real Wonder Woman. Oh, and there is only one word for this woman, and the performance in this video: WONDERFUL.

I have a copy of "Rita Hayworth: The Love Goddess" from 1983 starring Lynda Carter where she recreates the famous scene from "Gilda" as Rita. Both ladies are half Hispanic in real life.

The song, originally sung by Anita Ellis (who dubbed for Rita Hayworth in the 1946 film noir "Gilda"), is really just about blaming a woman, Mame, for certain bad events in the past, and her hold on these people. Personally, I think "Mame" could also be a way of warning people about the powers and manipulations women in general could have on people if they wanted to--especially since women in old folklore usually have the role as the temptress, leading to the misfortune of men.
