Sometimes when my live mode or build/buy mode lags/experience low fps, I just click the options button at the upper right corner to open a menu pop up and then close it right away. Some of the lag magically disappear after doing this.
This was really good when my game was dying, Thanks so much (for anyone curious it doesn’t break your game at all , but the next time you load in it takes slightly longer)
Also if you are on pc and you press the window menu button it minimize the sims and the you click on the icon again and for me that usually helps things run smoother
I don’t know if this actually works but sometimes if I have frame rate issues I turn off online features, maybe that just helps to not have the gallery or your online notifications loading in the background I’m not sure but I don’t notice much lag with it turned off. Whenever I want to pull something from the gallery I simply just turn the setting on again, find what I want, place the lot or household, and turn the feature off again. And of course lowering unnecessary graphics like reflections and shadows can probably help too.

What I mean, is the little green icons above the head of our sims, for relationship, character values, confidence etc... those happen a lot with kids and teenagers and you better look at everysims individually, wait few second until you see those icons released... on every sim you can find on the neighborhood/lot, then it should be back without any lags...
my sims game has super slow response time. meaning if i click on my sim it takes a very long time for the pie menu for the options to show up and it’s the same for other sims, but not objects and animals. this started after i started to download some mods and cc. does that have something to do with it?
Hello I wonder if you have another solution beside this? I have simulation lag fix installed on my game and it's actually works, but you can't change the game speed cuz the mod will conflict with MCCC and I don't like the default speed cause it's too fast for me. My fps can drop from 110fps average to 5fps this is crazy. I have i5 9400f and RTX 2060 it should be more than enough to run this game but idk why I'm having crazy frame drop with this game, is it because I have to much mods? 💔

My sims audio has been laggy since I downloaded the sims tragedies mod. I've deleted the mod, uninstalled & reinstalled sims. Restarted my laptop many times, cleared my cache. Literally everything possible I know how to do. NOTHING WORKS😢 it sounds like a scratched CD. someone HELP😭😭😭
the localthumbcache.package file stores thumbnail pictures for households and sims that accumulate over time. deleting the file will clean the cache and tell the game to recreate it the next time it's opened.
if you ctrl+alt+del and hit power down while you have apps open, you can click cancel before the last app closes and you basically restarted your pc (i don’t have an ssd so i gotta do this lol)
@@ifi1343 you should really up grade your ram to at least 16gb that will help so much eliminate a lot of your problems the more mods you add it will eat up your ram cause load times to be crazy slow or even cause your game to crash.

What helps me temporarily if I'm playing the game is if I save the game then it stops lagging for a little while.
Yeah, I do the same thing, except I don’t always save. For some reason bringing up that menu always helps. I don’t know why.

I don't know if is it lag for me when for example example sim was upstairs and like quickly teleports downstairs for food
Also a big thing for me is to open the task manager and force shutting any applications I'm not using (Chrome, Steam, Epic Games, etc)

hi! you can only delete the one file named localthumbcache (no folders)
And please, clean your mods and cc regularly and delete the ones you no longer use, that will make the game quick
mod is good, better than original that game. best patch in the game is mod, i mean wicked 😂
