  • Pretty tedious stuff we have going on today so I tried to make it as entertaining as possible! Moving and preparing our bees for almonds is a crucial step in making sure they get into California with no issues.

And I think I have it rough with my little 150 hives. Great video Jake, love seeing how the big boys do things. Still planning on visiting with you. God's peace brother.

Small potatoes here! All my hives have cleats as a hand hold and use those with a lift i have in my truck. I am interested in the design of the single hive lift you use to move individual hives. There are times when it would be easier just to locate a hive when the truck won't fit.
    Thanks for the video. Russell

I’d love to see more on that hive lifter. I started out with one that grabbed in the hand holds but since moved on to a Mann lake cart.

Commercial beekeepers should ban together and refuse to pollinate almonds until California reduces restrictions. The whole ant thing is crazy. Thanks for the video

Have you ever thought of using aluminum for your pallets? You could potentially avoid the issues with ants and other insects.

We have discussed that or plastic. Problem is the ants just like to build up next to things. I don't think it would stop them well enough to be worth the work and investment. We can switch about 4-500 in a day with 3 people.
