    I can sometimes sing up to a high G without head voice. However, it sounds strained. I’m a 1st soprano, & my goal is to be able to hit a high C & use head voice and/or falsetto.

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  2 года назад

      Yes...by the time you hit G5, you should be in at least a blend of chest and head voice (mix). By the time you are on the A5, definitely head voice. Otherwise, like you said, it not only sounds strained....it feels strained too. Head voice is better than falsetto because it will blend back into chest without cracking. Good luck Shawna!

      Do the exercises for Pulled chest - High larynx. These will help you do it. You really need to be a tenor also. A low bass will have a hard time...no matter how good they are.

    Hi Chuck. I'm a 25 year old male. I have often wondered if I sing completely in falsetto or in a mix. I can sing comfortably (and sound like a girl haha) from E3 to Eb5 (E5 on a good day). I think I "belt" A4 up (belt in quotation marks because I can get very loud but can tone down) Anything below E3 and you hear nothing from me LOL If I sing songs where I get quite shouty, I retain my power but I lose control over my falsetto (C#5 up) and it cracks when I try to use it. This bugs me because I used to sing through the heavens (just kidding - only up to A5) with no problems when I was in my teens. Hope you can give insight or tips how to regain this :-) cheers! Love your videos

      Yes if you sing into your voice so the vocal cords come together but you are still in the higher pitches, you will crack and break because the larynx is coming up and chest voice is being pulled too high. I suggest this: Watch this video and follow the directions. ruclips.net/video/d0Ob8WGmvPc/видео.html

    I realised if you train your head voice, it’ll be better to control falsetto I almost cracked on my vocal break when doing a hoo exercise I’m now doing a Gee Gee exercise now bc I rather have my head voice connected to my chest voice rather then having a break training head voice allows us to control falsetto better tenor gang where u at I also realised this exercise is to help with head voice!

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  2 года назад +1

      Yes! It is all about maintaining the connected tone from chest to head voice.

    I'm a little confused. The title was how to sing falsetto, and yet the lesson seems to dismiss this early on and concentrate on going from chest/mix/head voice without cracking.
    By the way, unsure your link to the pdf is still valid.

      Thanks Gary: Use this link: www.powertosing.com/discover-your-vocal-type-wt The term falsetto is used by many people to mean head voice. In this instance, I used it in the title to encourage singers who "call head voice", "falsetto" to watch the video.

    Got a question what happens if we train head voice & falsetto at the same time?

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  2 года назад +2

      If you train head voice, there is no need for falsetto. If you train falsetto, you will not be able to sing in head voice.

    • @darrielvasquez9014
      @darrielvasquez9014 2 года назад +1

      @@PowerToSing ahhh aight, I see head voice is connected with chest voice as for Falsetto it’s disconnected so if we just train head voice falsetto will be easier to control and training falsetto will lead to break I see.

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  Год назад

      You can do the same with head voice and be just as sexy or more because head voice blends smoothly inot chest voice
