I can confirm they weren't. I've able to use going back & forth, the seat position more front or back & even have a round control button for lower back support. One thing I've noticed is they ditched the rear passenger lock button from the 2018 a4 model & now have speaker as shown.
From what I know, it’s the same mmi and virtual cockpit used in all the line-up, so A5,6,7,8 and Q5 (probably q7 and q8 as well but not sure). For the A6 they replace the hvac controls with the screen

Is the larger touch screen navigation screen the same that is used in the 2023 sq5?

They need to integrate that screen like the A6. A4 interior looks dated.
