I’ve worked with lasers for more then 2ndecades and can tell you the diodes used on these aftermarket kits are not ideal to have them on extended periods of time. They are going to blow out on people I’ll say a week or 2 after they get them. If you thought LED’s got hot you have no idea how hot these are going to get. First, thanks for the effort. BUT, and there's a big BUT, they are crap. I mean, the BMW ones (and BMW do not create the Low/Highbeam entirely with laser, only the "Ultra far throw" is in Laser. Also don't use or at least adapt the H4 Car to H7, because with H4 the Lowbeams go out, because the High beams are calculated to take over the function. I've had an H4 car, awful headlights.
Everytime I think it would be nice to replace my retrofitted BiXenon headlights the fans an heatsinks required to make LEDs or now laser bulbs work just make me think it won't be reliable in the long run. I have had Phillips ds2 35w bulbs for over 4 years now and they still look great. Just had to replace a failed ballast but they were cheap eBay ballasts I bought for $40 ish. The project's I have are TRS and have a very nice pattern and cutoff line. The 2700k bulbs are pretty close to pure white. The purple blue cutoff line is pretty cool too. Any future vehicle I get if I retrofit I will just stick with HIDs. Tried and true reliable and provide more than enough light on dark roads. Way better than the incandescent projector I pulled out were.
I have a H4 car, I tapped the DRL for low beam for my bi led projector. And the high beam from the H4 to activate solenoid. Works fine other than not being able to flash high beam without turning light on first.
Step one destry headlight with flat head. step two make headlights sound like jet taking off. idk whats going on, seem like you have 5 light patterns lol - nice work
This is not a true white laser headlight, white laser light requires 3 individual lasers red blue and green, collimated through a prism to make the beams diverge perfectly and merge into a solid white beam; this is hard to accomplish on solid ground let alone in a vibrating headlight and would cost thousands of dollars. What this is is a regular LED projector that many companies sell for retrofitting. This has been out in the Chinese market since 2015.
Yes it is not a PURE WHITE LIGHT LASER, This is a Yellow light produced by laser, In the previous video you have commented about this. I tested this laser, it is a blue laser converted to yellow light by Yellow phosphorus Will upload a video about it very soon..
Seropserop... white lasers (like this one) use a uv/blue laser relected off a phosphorus teated surface. The exact same way LEDs and Flouro tubes make white light. If you are going to comment alteast educate yourself in what you are talking about. The only time you use rbg to make white ligh is if you need to change colour and hue (tv, phones, etc) but if you only wont to make 1 hue of white out of a light souce then phosphor coatings are the most efficient way to do it. Until such a time when the "green well" (its very inefficient compared to all other hues with companies spending billions a year trying to figur it out) phosphor will continue to be the only way white LEDs, and most Lasers will be made.
The beam pattern is so isn't very sharp or wide and bows a great deal. With some tuning that thing could be super sick... Not as sick as cbi or night breaker Lazers in morimotos but they'll turn heads... Plus those bulbs will probably never need to be replaced. Tune the cut off shield.
The low beam is aimed down to the ground so far haha. I woulda had the low beam be up at least a bit more so it’ll stretch the entire road as far as the beam can go.
You are the man! Really nifty tech there. It will only get better with time. Sooner or later it'll look like normal LED bulbs or should we call it a so-called hybrid bulb.
Wow this is cool I have a 4000 pound Crown Victoria with a push bar and steel frame and if I see these laser lights on a car in oncoming traffic I might accidentally forget what country I'm in and move over to the left lane and take him out just for the benefit of others, then drive home and sleep like a baby knowing I did a good deed.😇🚓🍽💨
yeah where I live there was a fad for a while of people installing illegal aftermarket LED/HID kits on their cars and nuking every cunts retinas. I guess I'll have to prepare my retinas to eventually get nuked by these bastards too.
im sorry but fair play they look good but the whole reason behind laser lights is so the camera sensor can either dip or turn off certain leds so it doesnt blind people and cause accidents
Good luck on rainy weather, it can't penetrate enough to see the road, unlike the halogen light, thats why engineers installed it in all cars for a reason and purposes
Pretty cool. I don't know why you make a video and not talk on step by step methods. If I wanted to read the step by step methods. I rather sit down and read a book of sorts. Definitely agree with other comment on the flir. You have money to buy infrared but none to get prying tools.
So is this what people are doing to their headlights? I'm here because earlier, while driving home from work, going I n the opposite direction, I was blinded by a compact car with headlights so bright, that I had to stop. I stopped right then and there, in the middle of the road until he passes. People behind me were also flashing their brights at him. But I have astigmatism and all I could see was a blinding wall of white and it hurt tremendously. Like a hamstring cramp, but inside your eye ball. After he passed, every time I blink, I have that white flash burn effect. It's been 4 hours and it hasn't gone away completely yet. This made me realize that this is why there was an urgent need to develop Drivers Assist and Self Driving cars. That's because after a cars all start coming with headlights that blind you for several hours, the self driving mechanism can kick in and get you home while the driver recovers from the flash burn. In a way, it makes sense how one thing led to the other. But it doesn't seem convenient for most. What if you are on your way to a formal dinner. How does one explain that he cannot read the menu because the car on the opposite side of blinded you with his laser headlights? Can you please give me 3 hours to recover before we order from the menu?
Is there really any benefit with these over a nice Morimoto Bi-Xenon projection kit with HIDs? You wouldn’t have needed to cut out the back of the reflector for Bi-Xenon projectors to fit... Personally I wouldn’t do this because this is such a new DIY retrofit technology.
It is the bad light cut-off pattern that will blind on-comming traffic, not the brightness. The kit seem to have nice cut off, but this one is design for LHD (Left hand drive)
@@wheelklub one more question, which is best among Cree XHP70 and Philips ZES? Because i have seen another video in which the philips zes is much brighter. Hope im not annoying you!
Hello Sagar, Cree XHP70 light is little yellowish, the color temperature will be between 4000k to 5000k, on other hand Philips ZES outputs bright white light 5500k to 6500k will create light(a small amount of) blue tone, which is very bad at Not all ZES bulb will be brighter, it depends up on Number of chips in Low beam and High beam, for example if you check the original Philips h4 zes bulb, you will find three chips for low and three for high. but in some chines bulbs with Philips ZES chip you can find FOUR chips for low and Four for High beam, which is brighter than original Philips. Another important design flaw in Philips ZES (as far i tested) is the high beam angle is low, NOT higher, the difference between LOW beam and HIGH beam area is just few feet. I have tested CREE XHP70 and the videos are ready for processing, will upload it next week. For you i will add a small side by side comparison with ZES.
Works fine other than not being able to flash high beam without turning light on first.
laser high beam so bright you cant even see the gap between them form an elevated height. thats going to really help on coming traffic.
Nice👍 looks good. You car engine is brilliant👍
Hi Mantas X, Glad You like the video, Have a Great Day..
@@wheelklub show what's inside projector
I think he's confusing lasers and LEDs
‘True laser headlights’ have 3 beams of blue (not RGB) reflected through a yellow phosphorous coated lens to make white
Like this Led headlights trend crap wasn't enough on the eyes now this !
The beam pattern is so isn't very sharp or wide and bows a great deal. With some tuning that thing could be super sick... Not as sick as cbi or night breaker Lazers in morimotos but they'll turn heads... Plus those bulbs will probably never need to be replaced.
Tune the cut off shield.
are the night breaker lasers actually lasers though? Fairly sure you can't turn halogens into lasers.
I think it's mostly just marketing tbh
The low beam is aimed down to the ground so far haha. I woulda had the low beam be up at least a bit more so it’ll stretch the entire road as far as the beam can go.
great for those looking to get into a head-on collision
You are the man! Really nifty tech there. It will only get better with time. Sooner or later it'll look like normal LED bulbs or should we call it a so-called hybrid bulb.
Wow this is cool I have a 4000 pound Crown Victoria with a push bar and steel frame and if I see these laser lights on a car in oncoming traffic I might accidentally forget what country I'm in and move over to the left lane and take him out just for the benefit of others, then drive home and sleep like a baby knowing I did a good deed.😇🚓🍽💨
DEPO, the glory from Taiwan.
You should have spray painted the chrome reflector flat black, it would have helped with light reflecting from the sides. Otherwise great build.
Great Idea, Yes it will control the extra lights, I forget that, Thanks for the TIPS @Robert Raw, Will apply in next project..
which brand is best for led headlight?
Superb. 👌
THank you Saxena, Have a Great Day..
$1,800 for the pair on AliExpress?? Decent low beam but the laser is entirely on the quality of the projector. Good vid.
I don't trust lights that require cooling fans
Totally agree! Eventually water/ humidity will come inside and your doom
99% of led bulbs have cooling fans
@@ub1419 who said Led bulbs are any good ?
TKR wht bulbs do u think r good then. I mean 99% of new cars got leds
@@ub1419 I am not talking about aftermarket LED lights . OEM is another story
Behold the new era of asshole internet engineers blinding cars, low flying aircraft, hell lighting up anything but the actual road
yeah where I live there was a fad for a while of people installing illegal aftermarket LED/HID kits on their cars and nuking every cunts retinas.
No better than the headlights I have and they're 40 years old.
Pretty cool. I don't know why you make a video and not talk on step by step methods. If I wanted to read the step by step methods. I rather sit down and read a book of sorts. Definitely agree with other comment on the flir. You have money to buy infrared but none to get prying tools.
I want thisssss
Interesting...
The most advanced headlights installed into most advanced toilet.
Ladies and gentlemen this is how you catch your vehicle on fire.
Bye bye headlamps approval
It is the bad light cut-off pattern that will blind on-comming traffic, not the brightness.
The kit seem to have nice cut off, but this one is design for LHD (Left hand drive)
Supper
Thank you Asif,
Is the laser worth? Can you feel the difference during driving? It looks like a very narrow beam.
nice
Just what the world needs, assholes with even brighter headlights blinding the shit out of people while moving in a heavy car at high speed. Smart.
What soft you used on iPad to measure lux? Lumu?
Hello!
Can you suggest me some good Cree LEDs for my fluidic verna 2014 model.
Thanks in advance!
Hello Sagar, You can try Cree XHP70 it is one of the best bulb i have tested.
@@wheelklub Thankyou sir for the prompt reply.
You are NOT ANNOYING, Happy to answer All your Questions.
@@wheelklub Wow...thats a very detailed information. Appreciate your patience in explaining and enlightening people like me. I've seen many videos for the best explanation on LEDs. You're the best sir!!! Looking fwd to your video. 😊
Seems the demonstrator vehicle needs suspension work , either struts , springs or shocks. Lots of bounce that the other vehicles did not exhibit
Okay, so is it just me or do the laser lights only work best in conjunction with another set of light's?
To me it seems like there is 3 different types of lighting options on this vehicle. Correct me if im wrong.
I'm trying to find the best solution to fix the lighting issues with my vehicle. 99 dodge 3500 Cummins. Factory housing is useless and has a shitty beam and light pattern.
Hats off to your efforts sir.Laser lowbeam+Led highbeam is phenomenal!
But in my opinion Hid & laser will be good combination..Hid lowbeam+Laser highbeam What say?
Hi Ameya Nagarkar,
Yes it will be a great combination, HEAT will be the main problem when HID is used, Thank you for Your Hats off. Have a Great Weekend..
Nice illumination for road but it seems clearly it will flash the drivers in front of you.
12:09 Bright-lights oncoming driver on purpose...
Robert Giles in India the fog lights still turn on with the high beams on too
Robert Giles nah alot of cars can have there fogs on and their brights at the same time. I havent seen a single car that turns off fogs when the highbeams are on. Well then again i havent seen all the cars in the worl. And diffrent places have diffrent laws
I put high beam to indicate the opposite side that he is also on high beam, and if he doesn't respond after I flash a few times, I will put high beam as a 'revenge'.
Don't do that in Amerika 🤪, somebody will turn around and Chase you 🤬🏌️
Welcome to India
Yeeeeeah I'll just stick with HIDs tyvm, much less work, and my Lexus came factory with them
Those commenting that it will blind oncoming traffic should learn about angles, trigonometry etc.
Hi Secret Admirer, Well Said..
