I’m gobsmacked I’m 57 grew up loving bobby o Patrik cowley John foxx omd etc etc this has taken me back to 1981 .congratulations to you for reinventing the 80s vibe the best era ever in music in my opinion
Agreed, I'm 37, but I love that 80's vibe, in my case depeche mode is my favourite particularly the wilder era, and this absolutely reminds me that vibes like you said omd etc.
I’m so glad someone else noticed! Identical bass riff to BLT, then at :35 mark synth riff almost identical to BLT chorus. No hate, still enjoyed the song, just observations from a New Order fan/music nerd
Hey folks. Over a year ago, my partner sent me to your album and I fell in love with it (when I last commented on this video, you all had about 2k views on it). Three nights ago, we got to see you live in Seattle. It was our first live music experience in over 2 years due to the ongoing pandemic. The iconic venue you were supposed to play has been closed for over a year because they lost their lease. So you were in a literal community center with a garbage sound system. Yet it was still sold out. You set up your own instruments on stage. And I'm pretty sure I saw one of you behind the merch counter for a minute selling shirts. And we couldn't be more honored to have shared this evening with you. We're all looking for beautiful things and you brought that to us on many levels-- some that would be impossible to explain, but as artists, I hope you understand. For a night, I felt a Seattle I haven't felt in a long time. I saw artists singing and dancing their hearts out. I felt* the music my partner and I have shared for over a year (which somehow made it seem more real). You're out on a tour right now, so this night will likely just be one of a big blurry rollercoaster in your story, but for us, it's a significant ring in our lives' tree, so thank you.
I just love this. I am 47, I love the sound, Joy Division, and everything about this song. Just great music all over. The music video is amazing as well
I absolutely love this song and band. I am a child of the 80’s. My favorite music is from bands like new order, omd, the human league, erasure, Alphaville. These guys do an amazing job of capturing that vibe and sound. Lead singer in this video reminds me of myself in 1989. Same hair style, clothes. Love it.
Ich liebe dieses Lied , sobald man es hört ist man wieder in den 80zigern und man muss einfach mittanzen und die Musik richtig laut machen ....mega Musik ....
KEXP in Seattle is my home town station. That's how I first heard them. They play them a lot up here. Saw them live a couple weeks ago... They sound just as good live!
I heard this song for the first time when when I went to celebrate 4 of July weekend at the Poconos PA but we’re from Jersey City/Bayonne. My brother in law played this while bbq’in, drinking beer and smoking bud. When this song came on. It was over. It did it at that moment. It brought back memories of late 80’s. Song is straight fire. Thanks for you talent. Keep up the great awesome work. Keep the great music coming. ❤️🍻🥃
You buried me Right where I belonged You buried me Right where I belonged And still, I'm waiting there On division st I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied A song so sweet From back when I was born The loving creak Of floorboards by the door Hopeful I waited, hopeful I called But no one would answer at all On division st I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied
Just in amazement having discovered Nation of Language this week; such 80s feel and nostalgia! Kraftwerk/Depeche Mode/Soft Cell all thrown in! Gives me fresh hope for current day music. Thank you! 😍
J'aime les musiciens qui produisent de grands et beaux effets avec une sobriété et une économie de moyens. Nation of Langage joue dans cette intelligence musicale.
This song always reminds me of DRIVE soundtrack. Discovered "NoL" on Spotify (since I also like - Westerman, Wild Nothing, Craft Spells, Hibou, etc..) 80's revival sound. Regards from🇮🇳 would love to get the debut album on Vinyl 🙂
Love this 80's style! 2020 into the 80's! Sound and Music and even the whole setup like clothes and everything, if i woudln't know it came from 2020, i would say this video is like 40 years old. Well done!! Love the sound and video. Can't stop listening!! Heeeeeeeeeelp :P
This is love, simply put. Heavy Smiths/Morrissey influence, but with a more new wave aesthetic and beautiful video to match. Reminds me so much of better days living back home in NJ/NYC. God how I miss it
Fell for this song as soon as I listened to it! I couldn't help but feel like it reminded me loads of another song, so I came to the comments section to try to figure it out. New order: bizarre love triangle! Thanks guys!
@@youth1974 It's the same progression in all the songs, pretty much. Though I agree the synth sound is definitely closer to Kavinsky, as a big New Order fan I made the Bizarre Love Triangle connection straight away. It put a big smile on my face :)
Found you on Roxi streaming takes me back to the eighties WOW great look even better sound missed your gig in Glasgow last month when you coming back to Scotland.
Firsr,I heard this song I thought it's an unknown track of an unknown band from the eighties. Then I found out ist a Brand new song. The 80s are coming back
I really like the song its not my style I think its a great song to me and one of my favorite songs but I like with you by liqwyd and surgeon simulator kidney song Awsome because so that i'm a big fan of Nation of language and its a great song to me one thing is all music is great but rap hip hop but most lee, theres many songs that could be good or bad On division st its a great song in st louis back in 1980s there was music back then and there could be no hip hop or hap so yeah. NATION OF LANGUAGE YOUR MY BIGES FAN EVERY! KEEP ON MAKING MUSIC ITS AWSOME FOR MEEEEEEEE!

Agree one million per cent 😍
Agreed, I'm 37, but I love that 80's vibe, in my case depeche mode is my favourite particularly the wilder era, and this absolutely reminds me that vibes like you said omd etc.
I’m 66 saw these in Glasgow in June they where later playing in Sheffield so had weekend in Sheffield well worth it
Not just music...everything 😉
Also has a new order vibe
54 here, this brings me back back in the eighties, back in New Wave years
bizarre love triangle!!
I'm hearing Bizarre Love Triangle... love those chords..
I’m so glad someone else noticed! Identical bass riff to BLT, then at :35 mark synth riff almost identical to BLT chorus. No hate, still enjoyed the song, just observations from a New Order fan/music nerd
Exactly
it's sample, for sure. I think they did a great job with it
New Order/Depeche Mode/Soft Cell all thrown in!

Ian Curtis gestures, new order keyboards and Doc Martens shoes!!!
So it sucks 45 years after
"Every time I see you falling I get down on my knees and pray."
Am I the only one who heard this immediately when the chords started?
Its almost shameless... ( baseline and synth 100% bizarre love triangle)... that why I like the song... because i love the original :)
It’s the very first thing I thought.
Yep blatant
I just love this. I am 47, I love the sound, Joy Division, and everything about this song. Just great music all over. The music video is amazing as well
I love Joy Division :-)
I'm 48 and i love it too ))
58 and captivated
New Order ;)
Welcome.. i am 47 too... i love Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Simple minds, fad gadget, Lebanon Hanover.. and.. Nation of Language..
This isn’t some retro retread stylistic imitation. This has the spirit. I can feel it.
Absolute facts. 🫡💯
No it’s just a copycat thing
Every time I see you falling,
I get down on my knees and pray.
Saw them at OFF in Katowice last weekend. Just brilliant.
Top melody! Giving me early 80's vibes; OMD, Kraftwerk, early Depeche Mode & they're not from UK!). Bright future ahead for this band.
I absolutely love this song and band. I am a child of the 80’s. My favorite music is from bands like new order, omd, the human league, erasure, Alphaville. You are absoluty right. 😊
Anybody else listening to the 80's in 2020?
Feels like Culture Club meets Erasure.
Ich liebe dieses Lied , sobald man es hört ist man wieder in den 80zigern und man muss einfach mittanzen und die Musik richtig laut machen ....mega Musik ....
Spotify is one of the best subscriptions ever. Brought me this masterpiece. Beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFUL
Exact same way of discovering it here also.....Not a bad song on the whole album.
KEXP in Seattle is my home town station. That's how I first heard them. They play them a lot up here. Saw them live a couple weeks ago... They sound just as good live!
Me too! New Order/Depeche Mode/Soft Cell all thrown in!
This could be taken from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack, which is a tremendous complement from an 80's new wave child. Keep up the good work.
What a sound. Two thumbs up 👍👍
This isn't my style of music at all but this band has the potential to be big. That 80s New Wave sound is loved all over again.
No it hasnt any potential to get big, because the masses only love dumb rap
Love this band. Great 80s sound but different keep up the great work!

You buried me
Right where I belonged
You buried me
Right where I belonged
And still, I'm waiting there
On division st
I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied
A song so sweet
From back when I was born
The loving creak
Of floorboards by the door
Hopeful I waited, hopeful I called
But no one would answer at all
On division st
I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied
Whew what a relief finding this band, it was getting a bit weird having no new music to show people! New wave is back ☺️
Just in amazement having discovered Nation of Language this week; such 80s feel and nostalgia! Kraftwerk/Depeche Mode/Soft Cell all thrown in! Gives me fresh hope for current day music. Thank you! 😍

OMG it’s OMD!!! The vocalist even has a touch of the McCluskeys.
Which McCluskeys?
@@apollozero ...Andy , of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.
Crazeeee name Crazeee guy ....that's if you think Engineering students are 'Crazeee'.
@@Umbrey_Dunctum I know who you meant, just wondered who the others were. 😀
Yes. He has said OMD was basically the first band that made him go wow! OMD's song 'Electricity' awakened his mind.
Somewhere that "I Melt With You" band is smiling!
This describes my feelings better than any word could ever do...
Excellent atmosphere, photography and especially music. You all do well. Congratulations.🤟🏼😎
This is simply perfect and elegant. Thanks for this masterpiece.
Best song of 2020 (for the crazy time of covid-19 and so much division all around...) Great Song guys!
Bizarre Love Triangle - cool album though. Good stuff.
yes, definitely BLT
Yep that arpeggio is fully lifted from BLT lol
Right. Not sure if it's more homage or rip-off. Still dig it.
i can't turn off this song! It's very touching..
every time i see you falling i get down on my knees and pray....
i think of all my final moments and say the words i need to say
Love this 80's style!
2020 into the 80's! Sound and Music and even the whole setup like clothes and everything, if i woudln't know it came from 2020, i would say this video is like 40 years old. Well done!! Love the sound and video.
Can't stop listening!! Heeeeeeeeeelp :P
No one is doing what they’re doing. No band compares. More!
This is love, simply put. Heavy Smiths/Morrissey influence, but with a more new wave aesthetic and beautiful video to match. Reminds me so much of better days living back home in NJ/NYC. God how I miss it
And a giant Depeche Mode touch too haha

You guys are fucking amazing, this album deserved so so so so so so so much more praise than it's already got, discovered you today, consider me a fan
*Really Sound, Friend. Regards You.*
Fell for this song as soon as I listened to it!
I couldn't help but feel like it reminded me loads of another song, so I came to the comments section to try to figure it out. New order: bizarre love triangle! Thanks guys!
I would say that the main refrain theme it's almost the same of Kavinsky - Nightcall song: ruclips.net/video/MV_3Dpw-BRY/видео.html
@@youth1974 It's the same progression in all the songs, pretty much. Though I agree the synth sound is definitely closer to Kavinsky, as a big New Order fan I made the Bizarre Love Triangle connection straight away. It put a big smile on my face :)
@@youth1974 BLT came out long before Kavinsky was a thing.
Kavinsky-Nightcall love it
