Trade cosmetics for in game currency. There is a game called Hypixel skyblocks which does it best you can look into it once and understand how to balance f2p games best
Pretty Solid take! I don't agree with all your opinions, but many I do as I played through it. What I DO know is that it's a freaking awesome game and I can't wait to see how it develops!
I think for F2P MMOs like this, the best from form of monetization is a cosmetic gacha system. It allows whales and big fans to sink money tons of money into the game without actually ruining anyone else's experience and can even have some really cool moments for low spenders. Limited cosmetics and trading as well would encourage many to spend money. The only thing they have to fix is the unappealing player model...
idea: you choose between a certain number of equipment that YOU want to upgrade and the cores will randomly upgrade one of the equipment's that you picked. still has an element of randomness but you still have the chance to get good equipment upgraded.
Characters COMPLETELY lack character (no pun intended) and the importance of that is kinda critical. Brawl Stars is a complete opposite, absolutely epic amounts of character which is one of the key aspects of its success..it just draws kids in like a magnet

28:22 1. maybe they could make it so that your amplifiers don't get deleted when a new chapter gets released, but they get deactivated until you reach max level on the new chapter, which then you will regain the power you had and can continue to enhance it 2. Maybe you just get compensated a certain amount of chaos cores depending on how many total amplifiers you had
First one is actually a pretty good idea, still allows for everyone to be in the same starting point and race to the max after every chapter, but makes the endgame progression better. Even a soft reset could work there.
I think cosmetics can make a company alotta money. Just depends. But most ppl will want to buy cosmetics. Like fortnite or apex where ppl spent loads of cash on fortnite
Around 31:00 you talk about losing progression after maxing out. This is exactly why I stopped playing afk journey. I put literal days into the game just for me to finally max out, then released a new season that set everyone back to square one. It felt horrible that all my hard work didn't mean anything
OMG I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS TOO, it was so sad to uninstall a game with such a beautiful art style after realizing that 3 months of progression don't mean anything in the new chapter
i get you with journey, but honestly i feel like it's fine, the good heroes you had will be good enough still to carry you through the story wich after that you will have gotten enough resources to pull for the new meta heroes
They should make it so that you still get specific drops from monsters, but each monster also drops a currency that allows u to buy a specific drop in a new shop. Which would allow u to buy stuff that is too grindy, but if you are fine with smt then u can also grind for the monsters, this will give players two paths for getting gear upgrades.
Also keep the elite hunter system, but give a new currency everytime u kill a monster once u get the system, then when a new chapter happens you can buy one of the new weapons or gadgets immediatly in the new shop.
Ok, in my opinion Squad Busters is Not a Bad Game and I'm playing Like 1 or 2 rounds per weekand they are fun But I'm Not playing more, for me it fastly became boring
They're such a great team to let you be 100% honest and also show such some new content in the game, so glad they agreed on your request because your ideas/suggestions actually make alot of sense and will definitely make the game better can't wait to play this game globally ❤️❤️
I think there should be extra difficult content that pretty much requires the end game temporary upgrades, it gives people a meaningful reason to keep playing.
They should make the chaos cores system like the power points system in brawl stars. When you get chaos cores, they should just stack on your account, and then later on you can use them to upgrade the equipment you want to upgrade.
#mocoforlife the new progression seems like a huge improvement! I agree with your suggestions to further improve progression but this is already a huge step in the right direction. In terms of personalisation, I’d be a fan of being able to customise the room that you stay in like changing the wardrobe or the wall paper or the carpet or even the cat that was walking around. I know this isn’t the sims so I’m not expecting that much depth but it would be nice if there were set items that you could purchase cosmetics for or even areas to display some kinds of trophies that you collected from battle like a monster wing or something. That would be a great tie in to social features as well if you were able to invite parties into your rooms before you began a raid or even if you could create parties that generates a new ‘team room’ where everyone has their own section that brings an aspect of personal customisation unique to each player. I think you get what I’m getting at here just lobby customisation would feel really fitting for moco I think especially if you could show them to other players/ flex certain rewards. I was also happy to see the mount diversity and I’d really like to see some mounts come with unique abilities like maybe one could have a short range teleport or give you a second of invisibility after dismounting or leaving a damaging trail (perhaps those could be later game mounts) but even simple effects from mounts like maybe if there was a goat mount it could do a headbutt just before you got off. Idk I just think that would be a really nice area to develop as I remember last year when I saw the mounts I was like damn it feels weird that they are so expressive but can only boost your movement speed. Maybe I’m missing something with them since I don’t have access to the beta but I think mount abilities would be really nice. Pets would also be a really cool addition like tiny creatures that provide minor buffs or enemy debuts or small damage boosts in their own kinds of attacks (I know there’s the wolf thingy staff but I’m thinking like not as a weapon I suppose more akin to gears). I actually really like the controls I think it’s very intuitive. I like how the weapons lock on but you have a lot of agency with your equipped items. I’m someone that’s never really played mmos so the simple interface is a big selling point for me (I got into brawl stars for the same reason and it’s been my most played game for 3 years now!) Overall I’m literally so excited for this game and I honestly can’t wait to play it I am itching to get my hands on it!!!
I am really hyped for this game and I really hope that its not one of those games that gets scrapped after a few months of developing.. I have a feeling that this definetly has some serious global release potential so if one of a Supercell Employee sees this: PLEASE DONT SCRAP THE GAME! At least try your best to completely overwork it, if something is not working out for you guys. But completely canceling this game would break my heart and I think most other people would agree with me.
What if for the elite hunter program.... You can grind for an additional level for all your gears (31) while your player level would still be capped at 30. everyone else not in the program is capped at 30 for both gear upgrades and levels. When a new expansion comes, you keep the progression and get sort of a small headstart in progression before other more casual players can get their hands on these gears. Granted. It should be substantially harder to grind for this extra gear levels since it's supposed to be end game content to keep you busy. I've not played mmo games before, this is only a suggestion.
Maaaan I really liked the old progression system. Felt really fun to me hunting for that rare mob and knowing where they spawn and knowing where to go was cool. Not a fan of the random.
I kinda like the power cores upgrading a random piece of gear, it incentives players to get out of their comfort zone and try new stuff. I do think there should be a way to choose a piece of equipment to get upgraded. Maybe an npc quest like you said or a rare 1/10 core that can be used wherever you want
For me the best should be to provide an option about what type of gear you want to unlock, like select the type of gear like for a tank, assassin, mage etc... you will still keep the random part but with a little bit of focus on the player type or character type
I think the upgrade system would be way cooler if it was boss parts not monster parts and in your home there was an area to refight all the bosses really easily
It might be the people you hang out with. I've played a lot of cosmetics only monetisation games, people would die for cosmetics. I'm never interested in cosmetics, so it's really amazing to me. But yeah there are a lot of people out there.
I really think that there HAS to be some form of hunting specific monsters for specific materials, but they can absolutely simplify it. Make it so that only bosses drop specific materials, swarm enemies drop general resources, and elite enemies have a chance of dropping either. Make weapons/equipment only require 1 type of unique type of material, along with general resources that basically anything can drop. Reduce reliance on hunting specific materials, without completely removing them. I want to feel like a "hunter." (they could also add in more system mechanics that make it really simple for players know what to hunt.) A little bit of randomness is good, as it spices up the player's decision making, but progression should absolutely not be centered on randomness. edit: customization is important to me, and choosing what to upgrade is part of customization so that I can pick my own unique playstyle. Also, if they don't want to go back to enemy materials, they could add in monster hunting quests that are required to upgrade your equipment, like: "defeat X amount of Y enemy while using this equipment." alongside the actual upgrade cost.
I think it would be awesome if they added some kind of feature with improved drop rates or do rates slaying monsters with friends. That would really incentivize you to be social with the game and I know it would make me try and get my friends into the game
Personally, this game feels pretty off from what you might think of “Supercell” as. It may be the first game they’ve made I haven’t wanted to play, but it looks like it’ll be a successful game
@@toxicrow9473 remember when the announced Clash Quest, Clash Mini and Clash Heroes back in April 2021? Well Clash Heroes is the only one that never came out and Supercell announced earlier this year that it is dead and being remade as a multiplayer game currently under the name Project R.I.S.E
@@edasanch777gaming4 it is but not really, they completely changed the concept from single player to multiplayer so, in a sense, it’s kinda like a different game in the same universe
I think a not bad solution to the monetization is making the console and PC versions of the game purchasable with real money. And I dont mean a lot, a 5$ price is not much. The mobile version would remain free. I think ot could work, since PvZ did it too. Regarding the end game progression - I think a great solution would be something like the paragons from BTD6. A big upgrade that would change the weapons abilities a little bit. This would take a long time, so it would not reset after the end of a season. I think this could encourage players to play even between events. Another thing I took inspiration from BTD6 is some events, temporary challenges for you to do. I am sorry that this comment is so long, but if you read through all of this, what are your thoughts on my suggestions?
It is a little troubling how far you are allowed to kite bosses. "Train to zone" is something I had hoped was long in the past, and people griefing high-value locations is going to be a major problem.
A F2P grindy game sounds fun and I would 100% play if it comes to PC. For the elite hunter thing, my suggestion would be to have one item that would be time limited to the current season that would be permanent and the rest can partially reset depending on how upgraded they were like a percentage. This way I believe the very grindy and the players who want to collect and play casually bpth will enjoy the longer they play.
Another thing I personally think that the upgrade system for new weapons should not be instantly updated to your lvl instead it should have a boost that is attached to your lvl, like if I'm lvl 9 my new weapon should have a lvl 9 boost like that I will still have to still play to level up but it will be much faster than normally should be... It will not be exhausting going from lvl 1 to 9 lvl and of course is not gonna skip the real job by instantly upgrading to your level following the previous.. example.
Series Idea (In Brawl Stars): Since most of your series are focused on progression, what about one that is purely focused on getting as many cosmetics as possible. Maybe call it fancy Kairos or something
#MOCO4LIFE I was totally not expecting a moco video out of the blue. I was so happy to watch the streams and videos when the game first went into beta and I wish I could play it myself, it just looks fantastic. Hopefully the game keeps going in this direction with loads of good improvements. Can’t wait for more news!
I seriously LOVE anything creature/monster hunting/taming related and seeing a new incoming game from my favourite content creator on youtube has been the best thing of the week, keep us updated!
A successful formula for mid-season retention I would direct SuperCell to look at is Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. As you progressed in power and capability, your role shifted from damage dealer and cannon fodder to strategist and support. ME3 was a cooperative wave-based challenge that required the ENTIRE team at its best to complete runs. At its peak, we'd have experienced players setting up lower-skilled players with extra power ups and weapons so that they could be the heroes of the fight while the experienced players handled the waves in the front lines. MoCo looks like it could encourage that kind of play too with the right direction.
I believe that is is very posssible for a game to be completely free to play and still make a lot of money through cosmetics. One example is valorant, the shooter from riot games. When I play, about half the players have some form of skin that they payed for, proving that with good enough cosmetics it totally can be your only consistent income source(Valorant has esports, but I doubt they make much money from that, however I could be wrong). Valorant makes a lot of money, too.
#moco4life 27:50 I'm honestly on board with this amplifier deletion entirely because it'll keep people roughly equal in new areas, which is good for keeping new players in the loop. It just makes it less worth it to spend a lot of time on the game at once - not necessarily a bad thing. I do think that they should allow you to keep the stuff if you play that chapter again though (I'm not certain from this video if you can play chapters after a new chapter release, kinda like they're a new optional area).
I didnt understand if there going to be classes, or if my equiped skills and wapons define my „class“, thx for an answer kairos! and great content like allways!
This game looks great so far for being in beta. This game also reminds me of Minecraft dungeons for some reason and also they should at least have some sort of cosmetic in the game
Maybe you can get amplifier power after entering the elite hunter program, and at the end of the chapter you can exchange the amplifier power to keep a weaker version of the amplifiers, so the more you grind after you enter the elite hunter program the more amplifiers you can keep.
The upgrade system could be kinda like squad busters where you can choose to get said weapons that way you can kinda prioritize which ones get randomly upgraded?
Hopefully a bigger base building aspect, maybe a full area with some farming/minigame activities and the capacity to visit friend bases. That low effort small activities make the leisure time of mmorpgs soo much better
MOCO for life the thing about supercell games is that if you are a casual you will be able to pick any of them up and rotate them without missing much with the exception of brawl stars
I was curious to hear your thoughts given that you didn’t comment on the most recent moco kpi when they announced the new material progression system. Release the 20 page cut!
I played the game when the first beta came out and did like the game at first but the game was definitely was p2w so I am excited to replay it again when it does a full release as I am a f2p player for a f2p mmo game
Can you imagine the Brawl Stars characters in an MMO instead? Or could what Brawl Stars is right now be considered an MMO?… I’ve only really played something similar like Dynasty Warriors games.
I think this game is good, but needs work. It’s seems to me that the gears make you stronger to kill bigger monsters, but it does not feel rewarding to upgrade to higher levels. Unless I missed something, there should be dou or squad monster hunting modes to make it more rewarding to upgrade because of bragging rights
14:09 ouphh, a bad idea. If you want to upgrade an unupgraded gear, you need to wear it, which means you esentially kneecap yourself. It could work with different classes, but for the same class, but slightly better gear this is going to be horrible. In Brawl Stars terms, imagine you need to play a level 1 brawler in order to upgrade this brawler
Idea: maybe you could have a class which buffs a stat e.g tank = health, imp = speed, assassin = attack speed, warrior = damage. And each one could work better with specified gear
pleasee recommend chaos core carrying enemies! ✨ imagine the motivation to kill once you spot an enemy with chaos core tag over its head or something! :)
#mocoforlife I actually did play the public beta test and it was so much fun! The changes you saw is great news since I had the same feelings. I am also not a big fan of how the progression resets when a new like chapters releases. I hope they do another public game test cuz I’ll be there so quick. Thank you for sharing and can’t wait for more updates!
Thanks Kairos for letting us see the playtest! If they manage to rework the issues this is game is goint to be huge, for me probably the best supercell game i ever played, tons of hours of playtime. Lets see when they are able to prepare a public playtest. #MOCO4LIFE
I feel like some gamepasses could be fine for the progression. Like the 50% xp boost doesnt sound to bad. As long as they boost features instead of giving payers exclusive features that f2ps cant unlock.
oh they make normally premium items available for premium currencies. These premium currencies can be gotten by f2ps slowly and p2w can just buy the premium items outright
I'm scared of losing the weapon upgrade progression, I feel like the system of collecting and crafting made the game feel so alive and part of what I loved so much while playing through it. I guess I'll have to just see when it goes global though
#MOCO4LIFE Personally I play a game called dauntless which is really fun and grindy, it has the same progression system in terms of armour and weapons as you need to grind monsters. I feel like it is much simpler but giving the option to get the parts and craft the upgrades yourself as well as the new system would be better as the randomness could be quite frustrating. As a general rule I would quite like them to monetise the game a bit more but keep it pretty low, the end game system looks awesome and adding a wardrobe system would be quit good if you want to keep a cool build you made.
This game is such a new kind of gameplay for supercell and they're already nailing it in such a great way. The gameplay looks so much better than other mmos out there
I think it would be neat if the game launched with some skins tied to other supercell properties to help boost interest and support from those fanbases (e.g CoC heroes or brawlers)
What about making customization to be super exclusive to fix monetization? Instead of having a store that keeps on bringing old stuff like most games do, what about a store that you can only buy that piece of customization when it comes out and it will never return to the game, this way you can play with fomo on players to give a true incentive to spend on cosmetics, if you like it you can't wait you have to buy it or miss the chance forever
My immediate concern is that they both plan on making cosmetics the incentive for permanent end game progression and also the only source of monetizing the game. It feels like it will be hard for either end game progression to feel like it’s worth it because you can just buy much better skins or it’ll feel like spending money isn’t worth it because you can just earn better skins by playing
#MoCoForLife #MoCo4Life I cannot WAIT for moco, it's probably the most anticipated I've ever been for a supercell game and I loooooove all the changes they've made, I totally WILL be one of the people who'll spend money on cosmetics solely just to support it's development. What I did like from the last beta that wasn't present in this one was the material collecting and while for some it might've felt too grindy im sure it would've been alright if they made the necessary monsters appear more often. I'd still like to see some form of material collecting even if it were just for a quest, which then I could choose which quest to invest my time and materials into, I think that would be nice. I've also got the same concerns about the chaos cores but I'm sure they'll figure something out. Seriously can't wait to play this game
Thanks to the mo.co team for letting me share gameplay & my thoughts!

Damn I remember playing this game like last year (Whenever they let certain people play it) Cool to see all the new stuff being added.
I do remember having more fun playing this game than i assumed i would have back then. Cant wait for the future
Personally, this game feels pretty off from what you might think of “Supercell” as. It may be the first game they’ve made I haven’t wanted to play, but it looks like it’ll be a successful game
Why did everyone forget about Project R.I.S.E ? That’s the latest announced Supercell game
What is that?
@@toxicrow9473 remember when the announced Clash Quest, Clash Mini and Clash Heroes back in April 2021? Well Clash Heroes is the only one that never came out and Supercell announced earlier this year that it is dead and being remade as a multiplayer game currently under the name Project R.I.S.E
They didn’t forget Nico is a new game project rise is the old clash heroes game
@@edasanch777gaming4 it is but not really, they completely changed the concept from single player to multiplayer so, in a sense, it’s kinda like a different game in the same universe
Havent watched the video yet, but i really hope Moco goes global! Ive been really excited to play this game!
I CAN'T WAIT TO TRYYYY IT!!!🔥
I think a not bad solution to the monetization is making the console and PC versions of the game purchasable with real money.
It will not be exhausting going from lvl 1 to 9 lvl and of course is not gonna skip the real job by instantly upgrading to your level following the previous.. example.
I've been missing this game since the beta ended 😭 I can't believe it's been a year already
Series Idea (In Brawl Stars): Since most of your series are focused on progression, what about one that is purely focused on getting as many cosmetics as possible. Maybe call it fancy Kairos or something
#MOCO4LIFE
I was totally not expecting a moco video out of the blue. I was so happy to watch the streams and videos when the game first went into beta and I wish I could play it myself, it just looks fantastic. Hopefully the game keeps going in this direction with loads of good improvements. Can’t wait for more news!
Supercell should make a whole brawl stars spinoff with lore and story mode that' d sell in the market
I seriously LOVE anything creature/monster hunting/taming related and seeing a new incoming game from my favourite content creator on youtube has been the best thing of the week, keep us updated!
#mocoforlife just a hardcore fan of yours. Thanks for being you!
14:05 Damn this man is smart!
I didnt understand if there going to be classes, or if my equiped skills and wapons define my „class“, thx for an answer kairos! and great content like allways!
Really hoping the game comes out soon, the originally 2 week beta was SO FUN
This is amazing news! Thanks kairos so much❤
That game reminds me solo leveling 😈❣️hunters work as a team to defeat monster entering portal 🤧and llvl up💥
This game looks great so far for being in beta. This game also reminds me of Minecraft dungeons for some reason and also they should at least have some sort of cosmetic in the game
Maybe you can get amplifier power after entering the elite hunter program, and at the end of the chapter you can exchange the amplifier power to keep a weaker version of the amplifiers, so the more you grind after you enter the elite hunter program the more amplifiers you can keep.
love the Bohemian Rhapsody song reference on the Multi Zapper item
I do personally love the customisation in games.
The upgrade system could be kinda like squad busters where you can choose to get said weapons that way you can kinda prioritize which ones get randomly upgraded?
People who played beta last year(ME)
👇
it was so good i grinded everything so fun
i did
yes
I loved every second of the game when I saw the beta
Yez
Im really glad to see MoCo is still in active development. I hope someday we all get to play it ❤️
Hopefully a bigger base building aspect, maybe a full area with some farming/minigame activities and the capacity to visit friend bases. That low effort small activities make the leisure time of mmorpgs soo much better
MOCO for life the thing about supercell games is that if you are a casual you will be able to pick any of them up and rotate them without missing much with the exception of brawl stars
0:29 Wait what? Is that Poco's Bandstand scenary from Brawl Stars?
Seems like the dev team for this game are doing it right. Excited
Is this what clash heros turned into, or something completely separate? Cause we haven’t heard anything about that in like 3 years
Idea: maybe you could have a class which buffs a stat e.g tank = health, imp = speed, assassin = attack speed, warrior = damage. And each one could work better with specified gear
I think they should make chaos cores like destiny engrams, I loved that system back in the day
pleasee recommend chaos core carrying enemies! ✨
imagine the motivation to kill once you spot an enemy with chaos core tag over its head or something! :)
#mocoforlife
I actually did play the public beta test and it was so much fun!
#MOCO4LIFE
Finally! I was really waiting for them to update us! Thanks Kairos!
8:28 Kairos: I enjoy the grind of Moco. I did not enjoy the grind of Moco. I loved the gameplay and grind of Moco.
Cool
I'm scared of losing the weapon upgrade progression, I feel like the system of collecting and crafting made the game feel so alive and part of what I loved so much while playing through it. I guess I'll have to just see when it goes global though
#MOCO4LIFE Personally I play a game called dauntless which is really fun and grindy, it has the same progression system in terms of armour and weapons as you need to grind monsters. I feel like it is much simpler but giving the option to get the parts and craft the upgrades yourself as well as the new system would be better as the randomness could be quite frustrating.
As a general rule I would quite like them to monetise the game a bit more but keep it pretty low, the end game system looks awesome and adding a wardrobe system would be quit good if you want to keep a cool build you made.
the 30 second detour 11:04 about his wife is so cute
This game is such a new kind of gameplay for supercell and they're already nailing it in such a great way. The gameplay looks so much better than other mmos out there
You should play more squad busters!!
I think it would be neat if the game launched with some skins tied to other supercell properties to help boost interest and support from those fanbases (e.g CoC heroes or brawlers)
It needs to be a massively multiplayer open world game with both PvP and PVE and daily quest events dungeon and world Bosses spawn
Bro, it's been a very long time since they announced clash heroes, when are they gonna make it beta :/
This game has alot of potential hope they don't kill it
I was a player on the first beta and I hope they make bows easier to get. Lol
#MocoforLife
My immediate concern is that they both plan on making cosmetics the incentive for permanent end game progression and also the only source of monetizing the game. It feels like it will be hard for either end game progression to feel like it’s worth it because you can just buy much better skins or it’ll feel like spending money isn’t worth it because you can just earn better skins by playing
Any eta on a release or early access release for the first chapter? Really want to start playing now
I swear, if they screw this up like squad busters
I really enjoyed the closed beta and been looking forward to this game ever since. Really hope this gets released soon or at least an open beta.
Honestly the biggest suprise I've seen in this video, is learning that kairos plays genshin, especially since right now im doing the abyss
6:20 i'm a type of player that LOVES cosmetics in game, so if supercell makes the only things that cost irl money cosmetics, im 100% buying
