Love how the camera swept backwards when you said there's no other way to describe the power of this thing. Makes the statement at true as it can be hahaha
That B-Roll from 1:40 - 2:11 is 🔥🔥🔥 That smile on Caco's face while driving clearly tells us, 'tis one of those vehicles na "It's all about the smiles, not the miles" pero guilt free because it's an EV and it uses recycled materials.
17:28 Caco: "Again, again, again! One more, one more, one more." Steps on the pedal, then the giggles! 😂 Wow this car really brought out the child in Caco! Great review!
Nice Review Caco! I actually saw you when you were picking this car up at BMW 2 weeks ago. It's really a pretty good SUV but we need a while to get our infrastructure to the point that a fully electric car would be practical though. Of course everyone who's buying these cars now are just using it to putter around in EDSA traffic I suppose, so the limited range isn't a problem.
I just got an iX x50 after seeing this review. Caco’s impressions are spot on and at 523hp, it is a super fun car to drive and still fits all my balikbayian boxes!
BMW is coming with an all electric X1 this coming months. Love to see that when it launch in pinas. Nice review Caco. I like your vocabulary. You are funny. Great!
Certainly ugly, but great to see BMW launch it’s newest models, especially the i Range, in PH. Looking forward to perhaps the i4 being launched, the i4 has created quite a bit of fanfare here in India because of the reasonable pricing and excellent range…
The i4 is about 5 million pesos (69.90 lakh INR) - cheaper than the top variant of the BMW 5 series, and roughly the same price as the M340i. The iX, on the other hand, is a bit pricey. 8.3 million pesos (1.16 crore INR) for the single variant available. Hasn’t stopped quite a few local movie stars from buying them though. Remember that these prices however are ‘ex-showroom’, and the prices after all taxes and insurance will end up being a bit higher (the ‘on-road’ price).
i though it had a 77kWh battery? only the iX50 have 112 kWh battery. It has 500 liters of boot space and expands to 1,750 liters when rear seats are folded down.
Only a handful of the richest in the Phil can afford this and there's no EV current infrastructure yet. It will be a novelty vehicle for now, and only a very few will experience and appreciate. This iX cost upwards $100k, and there's $85+K versions. Its cost as much as Tesla model X. Even the Dept of Transportations don't have a proper license/tab for EV cars there, according to the Tesla X video. You can only drive EV cars for a certain miles as it is not recognized as a public vehicle for now. The gov't is fixing it but will take a while. Hybrids and PHEVs are more recommendable and more affordable there. I myself drive the Volvo XC40 EV in US, and cost $65K+. I am looking for a second bigger EV SUV and I looked at the BMW iX and waiting time is long, up to 6 months to 1 yr. I was gonna just lease, cause its over priced like the Tesla X. Even though, I can afford these expensive EVs, I still won't buy them. Most US consumer will wait 4-5 yrs before these expensive EVs gets more affordable even for those who can afford it. I am opting for the BMW X5 PHEV for now, a $70k+ price tag. There's only a handful of Tesla X in the Phil, and I will assume, it will be same with BMW iX. Unlike here in US, I live in San Francisco bay area, there's plenty of Tesla X, the BMW iX will compete nicely. EV infrastructure here is great, and there's plenty of people who can afford and have been waiting for a Tesla X competitor.
I love how fast that car is and honestly? I wish we can see more EV because we need to take care the environment. Like lagi nalang tayo binabagyo ng malakas eh
That “sneeze” segment will go down in car reviews history as a classic!
Love how the camera swept backwards when you said there's no other way to describe the power of this thing. Makes the statement at true as it can be hahaha

Why is it that the xDrive50 and M60 variants won’t be sold locally?
That Knight Rider call-out was EPIC hahaha
Certainly ugly, but great to see BMW launch it’s newest models, especially the i Range, in PH. Looking forward to perhaps the i4 being launched, the i4 has created quite a bit of fanfare here in India because of the reasonable pricing and excellent range…
Curious, how much is it in India?
The i4 is about 5 million pesos (69.90 lakh INR) - cheaper than the top variant of the BMW 5 series, and roughly the same price as the M340i.

Yep, just like what my fiance said: “ cars nowadays looks like android phones or decepticons from the Tranformers franchise”. Its too much.
Hope we get the F-150 lightning here soon!

Hey Caco, ubos tawa ko sa Jennifer Connelly reference. 🤣
there's a hidden latch in the interior to open the hood. search for "bmw ix open hood".
I almost bought this, but when I saw how EVs depreciate in other countries, I decided to just wait in line for a Lexus RX hybrid.
I just don't dig the blue accent lines. Look like painters' tape if you ask me. They should've gone with a darker blue tone.
Sana may echarging din sa mindanao
One word: MOUTHWATERING!
If I can afford it. I will buy it. Nice car.

Electric vehicle may or may not prosper here in PH. Charging stations are limited.
