After 15 years of Audi’s (4-5) we finally realised that they are never going to get on top of modern technology. Picked up our new BMW iX last week. We are blown away. It’s going to take a month to figure out all the bells and whistles…
Came back to watch a year later. Spot on with all the points. Very well presented, enjoyed your style of reviewing, very informative and from a realistic perspective. Way to go. Still...... The best electric "suv" on the market!
We have the M60. Best car we’ve ever owned. Looks are subjective. We like it. Others don’t. The inside makes up for EVerything. Best sound system out there.
Starting to like the front grill too. The rest is a great exterior design. It handles better than 95% of other EV SUV’s - or is that 100%. And it moves out, functions well (especially after one gets used to the new 8.5 iDrive). Could well be one in my future. But the Blazer SS EV is MUCH less price, and will also be a “good handler”. The SS is a better buy, imo the SMART buy. Thanks for this very good video. SUBSCRIBED as a result.
This is my first time watching it. I have watched a lot of IX commentary videos, but Hansen's commentary was very convincing. I also found his neutral and fair stance easy enough to accept. For example, the camera angle is very modest, with the car in the foreground, and Mr. Hansen's explanation from the passenger's seat is a testament to the respectful work he does. I live in Japan and I believe there are only a few journalists and sellers who can explain and convey the appeal of the cars as well as Mr. Hansen does. Thank you very much. If possible, please explain the XM LEVEL. Both are too expensive for me to buy.
I have a 50 version with sport package, i think it looks way better with the sport package than with the bronze accents. The looks are growing on me and its an awesome vehicle! handles great for an suv . Its more enjoyable to drive than my previous X5 xdrive40i.
Picking up a 2025 xdrive50 tomorrow with the radiant heating, sport package and M interior package (and some other stuff). Pretty excited. I LOVE good audio so disappointed that I could not find one with the B&W system other than the M60 but I do not feel the M60 is worth 20K more dollars.
@@cheefussmith9380 it was about +- 7000 euro's, Including windshield, Rims and blacked out Logo's. You don't have to wax it cuz the wrap is Ceramic Coating Infused so the water just runs off.
I had an iX M50 on loan last weekend and found it a soulless experience. It was undoubtedly quick but once the novelty of that had worn off (which it did surprisingly quickly) I struggled to find anything about the car that made me want to go out and just drive it. I’ve had other electric vehicles - BMW i4 40 and then the M50 and the Tesla Model Y Performance and they all seemed to have a draw that you just couldn’t resist - you just felt the need to go out and drive them. They were fun and enjoyable - they made the drive - any drive, for that matter, seem special. The iX M50 on the other hand just didn’t offer that feeling - not once after the first drive in it did I feel the need to get up and just go for a drive. I’m still not entirely sure what it was about the car that made me feel this way. Perhaps it was its sheer size, weight or jelly-mould looks. Or perhaps it was the fact that I couldn’t figure out how it could possibly cost £116,000 and not feel like it did. Whatever it was, it just didn’t work for me and I wasn’t sorry to see the back of it when it was returned on the Monday.
In terms of the iX4 (non SUV model) the EV6 is superior in terms of features and cost effectiveness. In term sof styling the EV6 totally blows the iX4 out of the water.
I would rather that all of the equipment under the hood is laid out in a manner that makes maintenance or repairs easier for the technician, rather than designing everything to be squished into a tight little package, just so there is room for a frunk…. I have seen all the Tesla tear-downs on the Munro channel, and I could clearly see where many items would be very difficult for a technician to work on if it became necessary. It was impressive to see how Tesla managed to tightly package everything, but there is potentially a price to pay for that down the road. Just my humble opinion….
I agree. I want to like it, but the exterior is awful and I just can't get past that mentally. The 2024Audi SQ8 etron is much more attractive and will have an improved range over the current etron.
The word is hideous😢not the front back or side have appeal. Whenever a commentator spends the video defending and telling me about the dog and phony show the car does. It immediately says the car just plain out sucks, the thing that I care about the most is how far the car can go. How exited I am to drive this boring van looking thing. 😂

Best electric Suv out there for the money. Quality, performance and efficiency. I like it
Thanks!

imo i love the exterior
No.
I've bought the IX40 (the 50 is too expensive) and I+m loving this car.

I love it
Very complete test thxxx 🎉
BMW is like 20 years ahead of anything Tesla has on the road today!😊
This is the absolute best daily driver of the electric crossovers. 2 free years of charging and free maintenance make it an easy choice.
I did a Full PPF Matte Wrap on it, it looks amazing
Curious what that cost? You can’t wax these BMWs right?

You forgot to mention it’s awesome low depreciation😅

I hate the front headlights and backend design
That is a 40/20/40 split second row…
A gigantic new designed EV SUV…. and no ‘frunk’. Amazing :(!
We have a model y, almost never use the “frunk”
The definition of she/he is ugly on the outside but is beautiful on the inside

nowadays who can really afford this?
People with too much money.
@@muzaaaaaktoo much money?
The interior is fantastic. The exterior is horrible.
Summary: It drives so damn nice, but it looks so damn ugly..
It's super ugly on the side fronts .... WHYYYYY?
Rims are ugly tooo
MB EQS 580 is way better and quieter
The EQS should be compared to the i7. I have driven the EQS and the iX. Both great!

It's definitely the UGLIEST!
STOP calling this BMW a TESLA. At least 4 times.
I thought that too, at first, but then realised that he was actually saying "tester" 🙂
It’s so ugly…not a suv and not a wagon. And seriously a $100k? Come on.
It drives like a model x and costs less. You can get it for 90k
@@cheefussmith9380suspension is actually better than 2018 Mx long range and much quiet on fwy. Not a fan of exterior but enjoy daily driving my ix60.
