Seeing that happy sparkle in Pumpkin's eyes is sooo exciting. It's like watching the wall of fear being broken down to see the life on the other side. 🥰
Hi from Blair, Nebraska. We’ve rescued several American Akitas, and we think we see Akita in Pumpkin. When he came out of the kennel to greet Kelly, he looked just like Hachiko, one of the most famous of the breed. No matter his pedigree, he is so deserving of love and the chance to be his best self. Thank you for all you do for these puppers.
Yup! I believe Akita, too! I had one and Pumpkin has so many of the same features: head shape; smile; fluffy tail; puff up when excited to present as larger dog.
I thought Pumpkin has Akita or Jindo dog in him. Hope he comes fully out his shell and finds the perfect for him, loving and patient forever home. 🙏❤️🩹🐕❤️🩹🍀🍀🍀🙏🍀🍀🍀
Joined just for pumpkin. I cried so much in the last video I'm so happy to see him moving forward. He looks a little like our dingoes here in Australia. ❤❤ you are such a special person .
Agree. I thought he had a Dingo look as well. Would be a bit weird if he did have Dingo but would also explain his skittishness, fear of noises, sudden moves etc. if he did. I guess we'll see
@@nikkic67 yes 👍 I see some dingo in him. We have a female American dingo Aka Carolina dog. Someone brought a litter of six puppies to the humane society and we thought that we were getting a yellow lab or a golden retriever up until her ears started to stand up and her body started maturing. We have a full blood dingo and we’re 99 percent sure of it. Great dog with some unique traits
My first thought was Dingo when Rocky first sat with him in the shelter. I also feel like I see a touch of Labrador in his face. What a good, sweet puppy he is! So heartwarming to see his progress...😊
Pumpkin is such a beautiful boy! I love that he is such a cuddler. So grateful you and Kelly are investing time and love in him and all the pups. He’s going to be a great addition to a family one day. ❤ Also, thank you for your videos. They bring me such joy and peace. God bless.
Pumpkin is gorgeous. I saw the video when you scooped him up and intended to bring him to the farm. You had superhero look on your face. Love how relaxes he looks and loving on Kelly.
I had a reddish cocker foster from a puppy mill who wouldn't leave his crate for a week except to go potty. I fed him in the crate, then moved the bowl further and further out, then picked him up one day and put him in the knee hole of my desk. For a week or two he ran back and forth between those two safe spaces depending on where I was. Then I introduced him to a crate in my bedroom, so he had 3 safe spaces. I fostered him for 5 months, and by that time he was happy everywhere in my apartment, slept with me in my bed and with my dog on the sofa where she napped, and overcame many of his fears (except the garbage dumpster - maybe his old place used to put dead dogs in one?). I found him a quiet home with an experienced owner. These special ones are very loving once they feel safe. Worth all the work.
Hi Rocky and Kelly, it is so good to see how much Pumpkin has progressed from the time of the last video. He is such a handsome boy. You can see that in time he will make someone a really loveable companion. Thank you for all your hard work. From the UK.
Taking him to Flips Farm was the best thing to do for him. He will be a wonderful addition to a loving family when he is ready to go. You both are so wonderful for helping dogs in need. Bless you both.
Pumpkin is so adorable. We had a Rottweiler that had been abused and was very leary about men, especially men with hats. My husband took a lot of time with him, trying to show him that all men aren't bad and slowly introducing hats. It took time, but finally, he relaxed.
We adopted a miniature poodle who had been really abused and left to die. She was so adorable, but seeing a broom, or even one of my husband’s golf clubs, sent her in terror. From the moment we got her she lived like a little princess. My husband and I both said that we wished we could have five minutes alone with the ones who hurt her! BTW, I’m a peaceful person, but who could hurt someone so small? I’ll never understand. I’m so delighted that Pumpkin is having this chance for a wonderful life! ❤❤❤

I bought a new collar for my mini-schnauzer and purchased the wrong size. It's a beautiful collar, made for a girl, and I'd love to send it to you for Bonnie the Golden Retriever. Please send me an address I can mail it to. Thank you for all you do for these pups. I rescued a male schnauzer from a puppy mill in California and he was basically feral so his rehab has taken years. He is the sweetest boy and now loves affection! It takes time, but in the end it's so worth it.
God Bless you both!
