One bit of missing accuracy is that modern pop music borrows a lot of drum patterns from African and Caribbean pop music styles so that African percussion comment would have been taken on board
The Pop music formula was made fully viable way back in the 80s. Its just for money, never the art. You could even say it goes as far back as the 70s with 'cock rock' and 'disco' where everyone went to parties to be someone else and not themself. But that goes a bit deeper than the Corporate flavorless Bubblegum pop of today.

John Lacy ok but those pop songs on the radio are hardly represent everything big labels put out, it’s just a portion of whatever just works these days. I hate when people bring up radio hits to discuss this. We’ve always had radio hits that doesn’t have deep meaning, don’t act like the 90’s didn’t have those batch of songs
@@poperaisin When I say pop music I'm talking about top 40 music in-particular. Which can only come from big labels who have the influence and marketing power to dictate what is popular. It's not like the it's the 50s anymore and record companies are scrambling to keep up with what the kids want to hear by sending out armies of talent scouts to scour the country for the next big thing. Now, they sell sex, imagery and personality under the guise of music. It doesn't even matter if they have musical ability with the advent of the DAW and backing tracks. Just post edit until it sounds how you want.
Musical quality is barely a consideration. Almost all pop music is written by a small group of people and really by two guys with a small outer circle.
It's ok to like trash as long as you know it's trash, but don't try to claim McDonalds is good home cooking.

Rudy has a really peculiar way to make videos stuffs like that. Pretty accurate though.
This one was actually very, VERY GOOD. The script, the acting, the jokes, the filters on the outside filming and this car idea pretend to be taken seriously, not as the usual youtube rofl video. You're getting better every time, man, If you won't lose this temp, you'll become a short director someday, maybe a 30-mins then. And, who knows, maybe a full meter after a few years, if you'll keep your talent grow this fast.
