The walking beam name came from the Indians living along the rivers: "mill that walks on water". "The paddle wheel steamboat powered by a walking beam engine was a distinctly American development..." Ticonderoga and Eureka are the only two surviving steamboats in the world with a walking beam engine! Glad you liked the video, thank you!

Very nice work! Minor comment - it's a rocking beam, not a walking beam. Still works just as well though.
