This is a fantastic film even though it had a low budget. Cinematography is fantastic and scenery filmed in Evesham & Worcestershire. Heartwarming true story of a great young man. ❤
How come I haven't heard of that movie before I came here???
Looks like "Masters of the Air" Battle of Britain style, but based on a true story.
A time where men WERE men, the greatest generation
It shows freedom has to be fought for Evan now
Did I see cannons on those spits?? Eeash, someone didn’t do their home work
Research is hard.
The D and e wing ,had 20 mm cannons ??
@@michaeldelahunty2440 were those wings available for the Mk1 spits? I honestly don’t know
19 Squadron were equipped with cannon armed spits for a time as an experiment. The experiment failed because the guns kept jamming on the early cannon model spitfires. They were eventually replaced by machine gun armed planes, but 19 Squadron did use those cannon for a time during the Battle of Britain.
Was really looking forward to this , unfortunately I was very disappointed.
It is not a big budget feature, but I believe they did an excellent job with what they had. What about it was disappointing to you?
After the war he settled en France like any sensible Irishman and developed a taste for good wine and great cognac ….. oh and les dames sont très chic!
Died in 1942 aged 21.
Brendan was 18 when he joined up and 21 when he died. To cast a 30 year old actor in the lead as Bren totally ignores the fact that all these pilots were all so young.
Joined forces with England 🏴
You would think the Irish would know the difference between England and Britain
Disrespectful.
I say this as someone who is three quarters Irish, north south
Too much unrealistic CGI in all the flying scenes unfortunately.
It seems unlikely that filming and CGI are sooooooooo demanding that the average person couldn't be asked: 'does this look ok?' I want to get the Masters of the Air series, but their treatment or turrets and 50 cals is infantile. Movie depictions of aerial combat seem to be getting worse. I wonder what's behind it.
not paying the cgi artists enough to get complex scenes done right. It goes to the lowest bidder
@@busterdee8228Small budget, its limited everything....
You do realise that this is about the youngest ever squadron leader, and unfortunately he did end up losing his life so YOU COULD HAVE YOUR FREEDOMS,so don't be disrespectful about War heroes.
Ireland "neutral" in WWII and "for" Hamas and Islam now.... these folks take weird decisions ...
This is the kind of post that reinforces the idea that social media is the place where silly people and their keyboards are made one.
Ireland is always on the right side of history. ((They)) are the enemies of Europe.
I’ve been interested in Mr Finucane for some time. But I must say this film was something of a let down. I am aware that it was a low budget production, and it’s evident. Much of the film is clearly making heavy use of CGI, and possibly AI. While I believe it was a commendable attempt on the part of the filmmakers to tell Brendan’s story, perhaps they should have waited till they either had the money and resources to do a better job, or else they should have approached a studio. And while I know people admire those who make independent productions, and say that a studio would reduce the overall creative control of the filmmakers, sometimes the input of a major studio can make all the difference. Ten out of ten for effort though. 😊
Did he come back and fight war in Northern Ireland 🇮🇪
He ditched and drown in the channel in 1942
From the river to the sea, let the Palestinians be free ... of Hamas.
Go away fool
Go away fool
Free Palestine from evil
You mean Hamas?
Not too fine a point to it, but palestinian and arab leaders during WW2 were staunch and rabid NAZI supporters......They stil are.
The Mufti of Jerusalem (Al-Husseini) was named Hitler's bloodbrother when he exiled himself to Berlin. He urged Hitler not to be too kind to any jew and make haste in extirpating them to extinction. In fact he stated that if Hitler wouldn't, he would.....
Fee beer while you're at it, it's been wrongly convicted.
You want them to change their religion?
