If an Amazon subsidiary wants to do something interesting with Skylanders, then they are screwed. Spyro had a lot of interesting aspects, with the interesting behavior of enemies, fast running and flying sections, and 1/3 of the Police.

So thanks to that "game", the first game where you can play as any disney licensed character you can think of (regardless of the game's quality) is potentially in upwards of a 1000 dollar investment. Actual pay-to-progress gaming wasn't a thing back then, so I suppose that means that the spyro devs are more amazing than I thought: They actually managed to look into the future, and add social commentary to their games that wouldn't be relevant before several years later ^^

Most of the time Moneybags has about as much to do with Capitalism as a hood ornament does in determining the direction of a car. The guy locks people in cages and them charges Spyro to get them out. He as far more in common with a police officer/court system or some other government agent. About the only time he actually engaged in free-market transactions was when he offered to teach Spyro new abilities in exchange for gems. Moneybags is supposed to be a stereotype of wealthy upper-class people, esp. around the 18th and 19th century.

Moneybags was one of my first introductions to capitalism.
Most of the time Moneybags has about as much to do with Capitalism as a hood ornament does in determining the direction of a car. The guy locks people in cages and them charges Spyro to get them out. He as far more in common with a police officer/court system or some other government agent. About the only time he actually engaged in free-market transactions was when he offered to teach Spyro new abilities in exchange for gems.
Moneybags is supposed to be a stereotype of wealthy upper-class people, esp. around the 18th and 19th century.
