This has what I'd call a Soviet Edge. I can't quite place it, but the balance of the bass and the guitars is similar to the tenor you'll find in the Goldeneye soundtrack. It just has this distinct sound that I wish I could quantify. Civ III had some top-tier music. While the Civ IV Baba Yetu is objectively the most beautiful of the Civ tracks, the modern-era Civ III music was just so badass.
It played in the game endscreen, where you could watch a replay of your game, get a score for it and so on. Definitely a rewarding song for winning the game :)
@@lambda6564 yea i loved how the scenarios had a different tech tree and even more cilvilopideia descriptions for all those techs and history background on everything that u only find in the scenarios
My favorite part was how the other leaders were like: "You just got lucky this time! Let's go again!" as if you didn't just finish a 20 hour game lol.
Rome wasn't built in a day, you didn't know?
@@Agent1W Gotta rebuilt Rome again then
@@jdcp8976 Knowing that Rome(unless slaves) didn't work longer than some 6 hours each day, it's possible for them to "no-life" it in this game!
I remember being eight years old and watching the warrior hit the carnival hammer device and fall backwards while this song played.
POV: You fucked up your first two city placements
From all tracks from civ3, this one is the most nostalgic
Watching your enemies with bandages on their faces congratulating to your victory was always the greatest :)
None of the newer civilizations have anything like the rocking music of the old games
But they have beautiful ost´s nonetheless
@@riukasoulripper8252 yeah, but this is another level.
I feel like this is the song that plays when you’re about to die and your whole life flashes before your eyes
One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite games
Indeed :)
