Naviate is very helpful in rebar detailing but i found some difficulties in the detailing, (1)The vertical bars in columns should have 3 options, L bar for starter, L bar for Column End , Straight bar without any L. (2)The Beam reinforcement should have option to splice bars as there are many instances where each Beams have different Top and Bot Main Reinforcement (3)The Isolated Footing should have option to Invert the Bottom reinforcement if the C bars (shape 21) face downwards
Hi, glad you found the tools helpful. We have a connection feature which allows users to 'connect' elements which will enable L bars for column start and end into other elements such as isolated foundations and floors. We are soon launching our lap tool which will enable lapping on any rebar or rebar set. You can find more information here. blog.naviate.com/discover-naviate-rebar-3-reinforcement-connections
Good Morning! Can I ask that you provide some details on the issues that you are facing via our helpdesk. You can also use the Live Chat. support.naviate.com/
Hi Lawrence…can I offer up an idea as a very simple but massively beneficial update to this? When you specify the reinforcement like you did for the beam…there is space to the right to add the reinforcement area of the bars you have selected. Either have it as an input value…and have revit show possible options…or …just have the area show, greyed out and its just a visual aid. I’ll drop you and email tomorrow to clarify.
Hi Mark, yes, this is something that we will port across from our original Rebar Extension tool. This tool gave the option of creating sections through the element and calculating the area of the rebar at each given section.
Cool. What’s the tools limit Lawrence…can you apply the tools to a linked model? I’ve always maintained my thoughts that…it’s always to have your main model, linked into an external RC only template…so still captures changes. Purely for the reason that, if like on the project I’m on now…there are about 100 RC slabs alone to detail. Having the GA and the RC GA’s in one file I find dangerous practice. What’s your thoughts/?
@@markr8604 The rebar has to be hosted in the actual elements that the rebar is applied. I guess a better approach would have been to use a similar technology to Copy/Monitor to allow the detailer to copy and monitor the formwork from another model. This way you would keep ownership and control of the model and also be aware of design changes.,
@@RevitStructureBlog That's exactly what my line of thinking was. The amount of changes on large models is sometimes too many to follow some days. Revit is sometimes a curse given the flexibility it offers to move whole elements in the name of "collaboration". Usually, the Rebar is detailed and ordered immediately when entering stage 4 (sometimes tale end of stage 3). and so the constant updates creates a minefield. Having the RC in a separate model, but linked to the main model via copy monitor is definitely the way to go (i think). Small jobs, like housing i wouldn't bother, but for large flat slabs i would.
Good evening, I hope you're doing well. I have an issue with the NAVIATE REBAR pop-up window, as it is too wide and doesn't fit completely on the screen, which prevents me from applying reinforcement to the bars. Thank you for your attention.
Hi, this is the first iteration of our new framework, we are currently working on structural openings and connections that can be used on a variety of Revit elements. Our original REX tools were limited to specific elements but our new framework will support many more elements.
We are looking at rebar splices and connections, however, there will always be additional bars that the user will need to add but our tools are getting you there much quicker.

Awesome video.
sounds good
Nice video, can we provide coupler and for vertical reinforcement bars in straggled way? and lapping details?
Hi, yes we can. We have just launched the Divide Rebar feature which provides staggered laps and simply splits if you want to use couplers.

Has Naviate Rebar lost functions like slab opening Reinforcement and isolates foundations reinforcement, that Naviate REX had?
Hi, this is the first iteration of our new framework, we are currently working on structural openings and connections that can be used on a variety of Revit elements. Our original REX tools were limited to specific elements but our new framework will support many more elements.
Can dowels also be created from beams, so they can connect to other beams?
We are working on a 'connection' tool that will provide tools to add starter bars, dowels and other typical connection configurations.
Hello please the trial version is out but I don’t have a company email address.
Please is there any other alternative for me to download it please
You can just use a personal email address for a trial copy. The trial will last for 30 days

hello, is there a way to use the Naviate Rebar 2023 for Footing, ? it apears that there is no way to do it right now. maybe in an update?

Our rectangular and square foundation reinforcement tool is now ready!

How to ad bar additional bar stirrups?
Hi, Naviate can create up to 3 separate ranges of links. If you have any additional links then you can add these manually as required
