Ultra instinct effects differ on mortals and gods both physically and mentally , as whis said he mastered his ultra instinct , meaning its always active but you might be wondering why theres no aura or heat like goku , its because ultra instinct was a technique only meant to be used by gods , it is designed specifically for divine bodies , for a mortal to use this there will be some side effects , the most obvious con for a mortal to use it is that it burns stamina and if not used wisely , whis stated that it could lead to death . And also another difference for the use of UI by mortals is the aura , when gods or angels use ultra instinct they dont show any physical changes to the body , theres no aura and such and second its not realy a power boost and it was never stated as a power boost its only a technique or state to which heightens your overall fighting sense to "god level" like dodging or attacking etc , with the exception of goku who just whooped jiren's ass after he transformed to UI considering ssb 20x kaioken barely did anything , so maybe if UI is used by mortals it gives significant power boost i guess ,and also if UI is used by a god there is no negative side effects unlike when goku first used it . Beerus can also use UI but he has not yet mastered it , but i think it would be nice if the ultra instinct aura was a standard tho . That way we can see whis look more badass
Yeah, I like the idea of it being a technique...but they kind of ruined that when Goku got a power boost from it. They could have just saved it with the typical zenkai boost, but again they made it clear it was him using UI that gave him more power. I don't know what they're building towards at this point. We all know a bigger bad will be coming along where they have to introduce a greater transformation, but at this point legitimately being on the level of the most powerful beings in Dragon Ball introduced so far...where are they going from here?

It was stated in the tournament of power that Goku had to be in base form to form the spirit bomb because SSj had to much negative emotion in it, basically Goku's heart isn't pure when using SSj, and when he took the hit from the spirit bomb, he was in SSj Blue, meaning he was impurity in his heart when he was hit.

Correct, and Ultra Instinct is NOT responsible for the power boost, ONLY the speed boost with the power boost being a separate powerup altogether and is not a transformation but merely higher base power. To anyone saying it's the same, it's not. Transformation vs technique is literally the reason Blue Kaioken works. It really does make a difference because if it were a transformation Goku likely would not be able to use a transformation on top of it or if he did there would be some differences. With it being a technique it means SSJ can and likely will be put on top of it.

Jiren was toying with Goku regardless of Ultra Instinct. He was not showing any signs of slowing down, fatigue, or really showing any effort in general blocking Goku's attacks. I think that Jiren is holding back the majority of his power for dealing with the Grand Priest's hidden agenda. He sees the potential in Goku and let him stay in the match, he could have knocked Goku out of the ring whenever he wanted. I think that this "Ultra Instinct" Goku isn't the fully developed new form, but rather a halfway transformation, like False SSJ. Maybe Goku's silver eyes represents tapping into the new form, but not a complete transformation because his hair is still black. Super Saiyan Silver would be badass, and I think Jiren is determined to bring that power out of Goku to help him deal with the Grand Priest, which I believe Jiren might have an idea as to what he's ultimately planning. Maybe he could be indirectly 'training' Goku to toughen him up so he can help in the final battle against the Grand Priest? Only time will tell. That's just my prognostication :) Edit: I was half right! Super Saiyan Silver was confirmed, but no evil grand priest. At the time of writing this comment they could have went in this direction, but the series is going on a haitus and/or ending, so it won't be happening. Oh well.. lol

Benski05 that’s because he is a pure-blooded saiyan. They are known to have longer lifespans and age much slower. As stated by vegeta: “saiyans stay in their prime until 70-80 years”. Also Goku was dead for 8 years so everyone else is 8 years older than him. He is around 40 years old currently.

So I wanna clarify something Goku used anger to transform into his Ssj1 stage 1 state.The first state uses anger.When Goku was in this state he was in a sorta angry,violent state. However the Full Power state of Ssj1 can be used like the push of a button and Goku is no longer in a state of anger. Which leads me to believe that he no longer has that negative sorta energy when using Ssj.

Deathbrewer I'm sure that is was never stated that the spirit bomb was leaking energy. Roshi already clarified that his "KI" was "calm". We will have to wait until the grand priest or whis can confirm why his body was emitting lots of heat. Even ssj3 and kk10 didn't have that effect.
SOME of the energy from the spirit bomb was absorbed to give goku more energy to power his body... like whis said, it acted as a battery. absorbing the spirit bomb did not create the form however, and infact it was the form that even allowed him to absorb it in the first place. so yes, it was a catalyst, but saying he didnt absorb the spirit bomb at all is false.

If Jiren knows ultra instinct then how come none of the angels mentioned it when Jiren began fighting? They only mention it when they see Goku fighting. Thus I don’t believe Jiren is using ultra instinct. If he is then it is poor writing.
I don't think it was implied that Jiren was using ultra instinct. Like someone said (was it Shen?), Jiren is just strong, plain and simple. No god ki, heck he only powers up enough to show an aura at the very end of the fight. He just has ridiculously huge regular mortal strength for reasons unknown.

The only reasonable transformation in this whole series (meaning super) outside of original super Saiyan God. This is the ONLY other transformation that made sense. It wasn't no tingly back shit, it was the first time ever he's transformed because he's been pushed to a breaking point. Super Saiyan 1 was out of anger, w was through training, 3 was through meditation. God was given to him and blue was though mastery of the transformations. This is the first time he's been pushed to the point where he absolutely had to transform and I fucking loved it. That was one of the only times we've ever seen Goku look bloodlusted. Super is doing a good job.

Goku’s will of not dying is like a powerful shield. Remember about the Ultra Divine Water in dragonball. That Ultra Divine Water is like trigger than genki dama to shatter its limits. If you compare the Ultra Divine Water and genki dama, Goku still refuses to die.
As Whis was say: "if you can control your ki, then your body well be able to move on its own befor you think." this is a lower level of Ultra Instinct, when Goku got Ultra Instinct he wasn't able to control his ki fully, which leak energy too fast. So I think that Ultra Instinct is full perfect ki control. we know vegeta got something like that, but i think right now vegeta can only control his ki well not "Perfect" and Goku only on the okay level. Anyway i think Ultra Instinct is like "you body well move on its on that you doesn't even need to think!"

I've gotta add my two cents here. I believe the only way UI could have been attained, was with a Spirit Bomb. Goku has attained UI through it, and yes, doesn't need a Spirit Bomb going forward for UI, however he needed it to give him the energy boost to sustain his depleted body, as you said. Saiyans get stronger when they're close to death and recover, which no doubt added to Goku's strength, but the form of UI itself comes from something a bit more abstract. Goku has not just come close to death, he's actually died, several times throughout DBZ and Super (and I'm sure all the weird magic shit he dealt with and realms he survived through in the original DB added to it as well), but the fact that Goku had DIED (or at least was at door's death) after getting hit with his own spirit bomb, along with the fact that his friends gave him the energy to bring him back (Universe 7's big power is"trust" aka faith isn't it? and a Spirit Bomb is all "good" energy right? aka prayer), his friend's BELIEF in him, even AFTER DEATH, is what brought him back with the power of UI. Dying all those times previously conditioned and prepared Goku's body for taking his place and the one true God - there's a reason he's the hero of the story, and receiving divine training from Whis. It wouldn't make sense for anyone else to be able to attain this form, unless they were the devil -- is that what Moro could be perhaps? He is designed after a goat, and we all know their ties to devil worship. What I'm saying, is that UI was a result of Goku actually BECOMING DIVINE through DEATH and BELIEF.

Great video! However on the aspect of Goku thinking about his family near death and regaining energy out of desperation...Battle Of Gods was actually the second time. The first was against Frieza when he tried to drown Goku. He thought of his family near death and then came out of the water in kaio ken form x 10 or 20 (can't remember) and overwhelmed frieza for a limited time.
I think the spirit bomb opened a portal to the same dimension that goku black discovered while fighting vegeta. After goku black opened that portal weird and unexplained things started to happen and one of them was that shadow monster that merged zamasu had behind him which also had this more or less same roar as goku had in limit breaker form. Beerus also had a very good point: how the hell did goku achieve that state all of a sudden? Goku wasn't himself at all. It felt that something else took control of his body in this form until it started to fade away and than we got to hear goku's scream plus that second scream. Also it was said that merged zamasu radiated an immense amount of "light" and now its said goku is radiating an immense amount of "heat" which I think both of them are one and the same. And goku was ssb when falling into the portal. As krillin said, maliciousness creeps inside saiyans as they are in super saiyan form. I think that some kind of very powerful entity creeped into goku and soon will have a body of itself and will be the new villain. There was an ad for a new toy of an unknown character which will be revealed probably during this arc!

Also ultra instinct is the result of what happened to goku. It was very obvious. But what we don't know is what happened to goku in the explosion of the spirit bomb. So far we have only an assumption by whis as what happened.
Whis did say that he thought the Spirit Bomb was a temporary source of energy, and once that was exhausted, he lost that "aura" so to speak. That cool looking blue/white aura was the spirit bomb energy, I don't think it his new Ultra Instinct form. I think that Goku's body now IS Ultra Instinctive, whether he is in his base form or SS Blue. He doesn't need to change like a Super Saiyan to be Ultra Instinctive, his body just is now. And I base this solely off of the scene at the end, where he is talking to Vegeta and suddenly teleports away to Frieza, I think his body instinctively did that. One thing is for sure, it is freaking badass!!
But Geekdom, Goku couldn't have been hurt at all by the Genki Dama because first of all goku is pure of heart. I understand you have made the argument that everyone was freaking out when buu through it back Z, but Goku (everyone's Assuming at least) is pure of heart, so is Jiren. Just because Jiren is fighting goku, he just wants his universe to stay alive. So because both parties were pure, the Genki Dama combusted, setting all the genki (health energy) every where. Due to the attack being goku's, it's energy resided in him. Because of the energy being given to the spirit bomb, goku used his to help the spirit bomb so when gokus ki tried to return to its user, the combined use of the others powers pushed him. Edit: I did enjoy this video, and your channel overall. Your theory and reasoning is more practical and reasonable than mine with all the retcons we've had in DBS. But I still gotta put up a fight. Ultra instinct is the technique for self movement, goku absorbed the spirit bomb got a power up and IN THE PROCESS unlocked ultra instinct. I’d still call it the limit breaker form since he will be able to use ultra instinct in any form after mastering it. Would you call ssj goku using self movement ultra instinct form? (On a side note - if goku can use this form whenever (silver eyes) I’m going to be pissed. he doesn’t deserve it, AND it wouldn’t make any sense without absorbing another spirit bomb!)
Please Geekdom read this... Don't forget that when the explosion happened, he lost consciousness. We saw his eyes turning white. Then, having the energy of the genki dama, collide with his will to live and fight, he absorbed that energy inside him while he was unconscious. That instinct of survival was doing the talking. The genki dama charged his batteries and we saw him rise. His eyes were white again but we saw him closing them and when he opened then again, they were silver. So he regained conciousness but not 100%. Kind of like a fighter who got knoked out. He is completely out and when he wakes up he is dizzy and doesn't have complete control of anything. Just like Goku. He didn't have control. His body was acting on it's own. As the time passed, he started to "wake up". We saw his eyes turning black in two occasions, the second one being just before his last punsh to Jiren.
I think that his eyes turning black in the middle of the fight is simply an indication that the genki power he absorbed to sustain himself is about to run out. That is implied when Jiren stopped him at the end and he had black eyed. if you look closely he already lost the silver eyes an instant before hitting jiren.

I think MUI is easier to maintain once it's used, because it's more like a transformation and it increases all the base senses and instincts, while bringing out all of the user's potential and power, while UI is something that needs to be constantly maintained and needs more focus because you can't just rely on the base abilities of the form, you actually have to focus on letting yourself be thoughtless while fighting. And the more you hone UI, the better the defensive abilities of MUI.
Goku: gets a transformation like ssjb and has years to train with it and last for 6-7 minutes during combat Naruto: new transformation lasts 4 hours or more during combat nonstop Dbs fans: can Goku have a new strong form that can last like 4 hours to that is cannon

Ultra instinct effects differ on mortals and gods both physically and mentally , as whis said he mastered his ultra instinct , meaning its always active but you might be wondering why theres no aura or heat like goku , its because ultra instinct was a technique only meant to be used by gods , it is designed specifically for divine bodies , for a mortal to use this there will be some side effects , the most obvious con for a mortal to use it is that it burns stamina and if not used wisely , whis stated that it could lead to death . And also another difference for the use of UI by mortals is the aura , when gods or angels use ultra instinct they dont show any physical changes to the body , theres no aura and such and second its not realy a power boost and it was never stated as a power boost its only a technique or state to which heightens your overall fighting sense to "god level" like dodging or attacking etc , with the exception of goku who just whooped jiren's ass after he transformed to UI considering ssb 20x kaioken barely did anything , so maybe if UI is used by mortals it gives significant power boost i guess ,and also if UI is used by a god there is no negative side effects unlike when goku first used it . Beerus can also use UI but he has not yet mastered it , but i think it would be nice if the ultra instinct aura was a standard tho . That way we can see whis look more badass
Yeah, I like the idea of it being a technique...but they kind of ruined that when Goku got a power boost from it. They could have just saved it with the typical zenkai boost, but again they made it clear it was him using UI that gave him more power.
I don't know what they're building towards at this point. We all know a bigger bad will be coming along where they have to introduce a greater transformation, but at this point legitimately being on the level of the most powerful beings in Dragon Ball introduced so far...where are they going from here?

To anyone saying it's the same, it's not. Transformation vs technique is literally the reason Blue Kaioken works. It really does make a difference because if it were a transformation Goku likely would not be able to use a transformation on top of it or if he did there would be some differences. With it being a technique it means SSJ can and likely will be put on top of it.

Jiren was toying with Goku regardless of Ultra Instinct. He was not showing any signs of slowing down, fatigue, or really showing any effort in general blocking Goku's attacks. I think that Jiren is holding back the majority of his power for dealing with the Grand Priest's hidden agenda. He sees the potential in Goku and let him stay in the match, he could have knocked Goku out of the ring whenever he wanted. I think that this "Ultra Instinct" Goku isn't the fully developed new form, but rather a halfway transformation, like False SSJ. Maybe Goku's silver eyes represents tapping into the new form, but not a complete transformation because his hair is still black. Super Saiyan Silver would be badass, and I think Jiren is determined to bring that power out of Goku to help him deal with the Grand Priest, which I believe Jiren might have an idea as to what he's ultimately planning. Maybe he could be indirectly 'training' Goku to toughen him up so he can help in the final battle against the Grand Priest? Only time will tell. That's just my prognostication :)
Edit: I was half right! Super Saiyan Silver was confirmed, but no evil grand priest. At the time of writing this comment they could have went in this direction, but the series is going on a haitus and/or ending, so it won't be happening. Oh well.. lol

So I wanna clarify something
Goku used anger to transform into his Ssj1 stage 1 state.The first state uses anger.When Goku was in this state he was in a sorta angry,violent state.
However the Full Power state of Ssj1 can be used like the push of a button and Goku is no longer in a state of anger.
Which leads me to believe that he no longer has that negative sorta energy when using Ssj.
It took me 6 hours of dealing with uploading my video on the Void now watching this I can honestly say I’m happy I did my video cause it compliments this video well! Love it! Great Job brother!

We will have to wait until the grand priest or whis can confirm why his body was emitting lots of heat. Even ssj3 and kk10 didn't have that effect.

SOME of the energy from the spirit bomb was absorbed to give goku more energy to power his body... like whis said, it acted as a battery. absorbing the spirit bomb did not create the form however, and infact it was the form that even allowed him to absorb it in the first place. so yes, it was a catalyst, but saying he didnt absorb the spirit bomb at all is false.
Goku perfected ssj god in months but he got less than 25 min to perfect ultra instinct..
I'm hoping he doesn't perfect it, but gets it 'good enough' to get through to the end. It just has to work enough for U7 to win. If U 7 wins at all.

I don't think it was implied that Jiren was using ultra instinct. Like someone said (was it Shen?), Jiren is just strong, plain and simple. No god ki, heck he only powers up enough to show an aura at the very end of the fight. He just has ridiculously huge regular mortal strength for reasons unknown.

Okay. Let us suppose that jiren mastered ultra instinct. Then how come jire got hit by goku in his gut? We can see that after goku in new state he didn't receive any hit by jiren. So its clear that jiren has not mastered ultra instinct.

turns out: that's wrong. I know that's what we were all taught, but actually a neutron star is a super stellar Z-pinch of plasma. Quite provable by laboratory observation and comparison with nebular photographs of gamma and xray spectrum. Only plasma demonstrates the necessary shapes. The only reasonable transformation in this whole series (meaning super) outside of original super Saiyan God. This is the ONLY other transformation that made sense. It wasn't no tingly back shit, it was the first time ever he's transformed because he's been pushed to a breaking point. Super Saiyan 1 was out of anger, w was through training, 3 was through meditation. God was given to him and blue was though mastery of the transformations. This is the first time he's been pushed to the point where he absolutely had to transform and I fucking loved it. That was one of the only times we've ever seen Goku look bloodlusted. Super is doing a good job.

As Whis was say: "if you can control your ki, then your body well be able to move on its own befor you think." this is a lower level of Ultra Instinct, when Goku got Ultra Instinct he wasn't able to control his ki fully, which leak energy too fast. So I think that Ultra Instinct is full perfect ki control. we know vegeta got something like that, but i think right now vegeta can only control his ki well not "Perfect" and Goku only on the okay level. Anyway i think Ultra Instinct is like "you body well move on its on that you doesn't even need to think!"

I've gotta add my two cents here. I believe the only way UI could have been attained, was with a Spirit Bomb. Goku has attained UI through it, and yes, doesn't need a Spirit Bomb going forward for UI, however he needed it to give him the energy boost to sustain his depleted body, as you said. Saiyans get stronger when they're close to death and recover, which no doubt added to Goku's strength, but the form of UI itself comes from something a bit more abstract.
Goku has not just come close to death, he's actually died, several times throughout DBZ and Super (and I'm sure all the weird magic shit he dealt with and realms he survived through in the original DB added to it as well), but the fact that Goku had DIED (or at least was at door's death) after getting hit with his own spirit bomb, along with the fact that his friends gave him the energy to bring him back (Universe 7's big power is"trust" aka faith isn't it? and a Spirit Bomb is all "good" energy right? aka prayer), his friend's BELIEF in him, even AFTER DEATH, is what brought him back with the power of UI. Dying all those times previously conditioned and prepared Goku's body for taking his place and the one true God - there's a reason he's the hero of the story, and receiving divine training from Whis.
It wouldn't make sense for anyone else to be able to attain this form, unless they were the devil -- is that what Moro could be perhaps? He is designed after a goat, and we all know their ties to devil worship.
What I'm saying, is that UI was a result of Goku actually BECOMING DIVINE through DEATH and BELIEF.

Great video! However on the aspect of Goku thinking about his family near death and regaining energy out of desperation...Battle Of Gods was actually the second time. The first was against Frieza when he tried to drown Goku. He thought of his family near death and then came out of the water in kaio ken form x 10 or 20 (can't remember) and overwhelmed frieza for a limited time.

I think the spirit bomb opened a portal to the same dimension that goku black discovered while fighting vegeta. After goku black opened that portal weird and unexplained things started to happen and one of them was that shadow monster that merged zamasu had behind him which also had this more or less same roar as goku had in limit breaker form.
Beerus also had a very good point: how the hell did goku achieve that state all of a sudden?
Goku wasn't himself at all. It felt that something else took control of his body in this form until it started to fade away and than we got to hear goku's scream plus that second scream.
Also it was said that merged zamasu radiated an immense amount of "light" and now its said goku is radiating an immense amount of "heat" which I think both of them are one and the same.
And goku was ssb when falling into the portal. As krillin said, maliciousness creeps inside saiyans as they are in super saiyan form.
I think that some kind of very powerful entity creeped into goku and soon will have a body of itself and will be the new villain. There was an ad for a new toy of an unknown character which will be revealed probably during this arc!

Also ultra instinct is the result of what happened to goku. It was very obvious. But what we don't know is what happened to goku in the explosion of the spirit bomb. So far we have only an assumption by whis as what happened.
Whis did say that he thought the Spirit Bomb was a temporary source of energy, and once that was exhausted, he lost that "aura" so to speak. That cool looking blue/white aura was the spirit bomb energy, I don't think it his new Ultra Instinct form. I think that Goku's body now IS Ultra Instinctive, whether he is in his base form or SS Blue. He doesn't need to change like a Super Saiyan to be Ultra Instinctive, his body just is now. And I base this solely off of the scene at the end, where he is talking to Vegeta and suddenly teleports away to Frieza, I think his body instinctively did that. One thing is for sure, it is freaking badass!!

But Geekdom, Goku couldn't have been hurt at all by the Genki Dama because first of all goku is pure of heart. I understand you have made the argument that everyone was freaking out when buu through it back Z, but Goku (everyone's Assuming at least) is pure of heart, so is Jiren. Just because Jiren is fighting goku, he just wants his universe to stay alive. So because both parties were pure, the Genki Dama combusted, setting all the genki (health energy) every where. Due to the attack being goku's, it's energy resided in him. Because of the energy being given to the spirit bomb, goku used his to help the spirit bomb so when gokus ki tried to return to its user, the combined use of the others powers pushed him.
Edit: I did enjoy this video, and your channel overall. Your theory and reasoning is more practical and reasonable than mine with all the retcons we've had in DBS. But I still gotta put up a fight. Love the video

Ultra instinct is the technique for self movement, goku absorbed the spirit bomb got a power up and IN THE PROCESS unlocked ultra instinct. I’d still call it the limit breaker form since he will be able to use ultra instinct in any form after mastering it. Would you call ssj goku using self movement ultra instinct form? (On a side note - if goku can use this form whenever (silver eyes) I’m going to be pissed. he doesn’t deserve it, AND it wouldn’t make any sense without absorbing another spirit bomb!)

Please Geekdom read this... Don't forget that when the explosion happened, he lost consciousness. We saw his eyes turning white. Then, having the energy of the genki dama, collide with his will to live and fight, he absorbed that energy inside him while he was unconscious. That instinct of survival was doing the talking. The genki dama charged his batteries and we saw him rise. His eyes were white again but we saw him closing them and when he opened then again, they were silver. So he regained conciousness but not 100%. Kind of like a fighter who got knoked out. He is completely out and when he wakes up he is dizzy and doesn't have complete control of anything. Just like Goku. He didn't have control. His body was acting on it's own. As the time passed, he started to "wake up". We saw his eyes turning black in two occasions, the second one being just before his last punsh to Jiren.

I think that his eyes turning black in the middle of the fight is simply an indication that the genki power he absorbed to sustain himself is about to run out. That is implied when Jiren stopped him at the end and he had black eyed. if you look closely he already lost the silver eyes an instant before hitting jiren.

The problem being that logic is inconsistently used in Dragon Ball.
I think MUI is easier to maintain once it's used, because it's more like a transformation and it increases all the base senses and instincts, while bringing out all of the user's potential and power, while UI is something that needs to be constantly maintained and needs more focus because you can't just rely on the base abilities of the form, you actually have to focus on letting yourself be thoughtless while fighting. And the more you hone UI, the better the defensive abilities of MUI.
