I realize this was about a year ago, but what you did do was helpful. However, Is that all that gets displayed via the slide deck for your worship service? I've just started doing this after several years - like 15 years! So, I'm new to Proclaim as a trial and signed up for a month. Prior to this, the church was doing their presentation weekly in PP. However, when I was doing it, the time was almost 12 hours a week. Since they put every single word spoken in the service (minus the sermon) during pandemic, they have continued this process. So, there are lots of readings, sometimes scripture is 20 - 30 vs., and I'm learning that Proclaim can parse the readings out over several slides automatically unlike PP which I had to create every single slide. So, I'm wondering, if we're doing overkill - which is my feeling. Our congregation is one with a lot of senior adults and I think some of them like the words on the screens. However, everything is printed in a bulletin, as well. I'm thinking that we need to scale this back so the weekly slide deck prep can be reduced significantly AND which will allow us to find other people to help in preparation weekly. Because I still take about 4 - 6 hours a week in preparing our worship presentation. Getting a couple more involved and using the collaboration feature of Proclaim! seems to be the swing vote for me vs. other worship presentation software. I just need to learn how to create some template stuff.

You can change font sizes and such to get as much or as little text on the slides as you want. However, for our services that's all we generally put. I may need to make an updated video but not too much has changed.
In terms of readings and scripture, for general readings, we probably don't include those on the screen. If someone does want it included, we basically have to type it all out and proclaim treats line breaks/new paragraphs as new slides. It will auto format everything for you which still saves time.
For scripture, no manual typing is necessary. Use the "Bible Verse" item and just input the scripture. We've added entire chapters and it'll just auto create all the slides. Takes 15 seconds max.
We definitely use the collaboration features. Our computer at the church is a desktop so it stays there. We can create the presentations at home or anywhere and it will automatically be available to us at the church when we need it. Great feature!
I feel your pain if you've been having to type all of this in PowerPoint. Proclaim was a gamechanger for us.

@@BenjaminDenny since I wrote this to you, I am now about 7 weeks into using Proclaim and decided to do it for a year. I've come a long way since the initial message to you. Bible verses are much easier, agreed, but I did have to buy the add on version since it was included in their normal Bible pack and SO glad I did. That's a breeze now. I've whittled it down to about 2.5 - 3 hours.
I've just copied the schedule from the previous week and then reworked the slides with new backgrounds, text, etc. But, I think there are some template features that I need to learn to use for sake of expediency.
Music has been the BIGGEST challenge as the MoM (just retired) was kickin' & screamin' when the song selections weren't covered by CCLI SongSelect & Streaming. People just don't get that when someone composes music, creates lyrics, writes an arrangement, etc., those persons are deserving to be paid OR they should be provided the opportunity to approve use of their material as they see fit. But, arbitrarily using material in worship slides all in the name of Jesus, w/OUT permission is just plain thievery. So, that's been my challenge, but should be allayed now that we are moving into a new era.
If you do an update, please post about it and I will be a follower. Off to learn more about some ways to do templates in Proclaim.
      Blessings!

Do you ever add music to any content? Like for an announcement. If so, how?

Yes you can add background music via Proclaim to an individual service item or to an entire section. I don’t have a video on that right now but this guide from Faithlife covers it pretty well.

I’m sorry to bother you with this, but I don’t really know anyone else to ask advice on this matter. We are a small church, wanting to upgrade our presentation software, computer, and whole set up in general. We have a projector for the front of the church and for the back, but they just mirror each other through the same cable. I’d like some guidance on the best set up to go with, as far as monitors and cables, etc. Do you mind giving me some input on that?
My husband is actually the one in charge of upgrading everything, so if it would be easier to talk to him I can give you his number-just let me know! Thank you in advance!

@@Amandahchick Glad to help however I can. Send me (or your husband) an email to ben@dennyemail.com explaining what exactly you’re looking to purchase and I can give you my recommendation based on what I’m currently using in our church.
