    சாா், வணக்கம். இந்த Sheet டை Stock Return பாா்க்க பயன்படுத்தலாமா? நான் கையில் பணம் இருக்கும் போது மட்டும் ஒரு சில Company shares மட்டும் 1 or 2 என வாங்கிவைத்துள்ளேன். இதற்கு Return எப்படி கணக்கிடுவது?
    நன்றி.

  • @ராமகிருஷ்ணன்-ச2ர

    ஐயா ஒரு சந்தேகம் நான் index fund ல் பணம் சேமிக்கலாம் என்று உள்ளேன். 30 வருடங்கள் சேமிக்க விரும்புகிறேன். ஆனால் நான் பாதியில் இறந்து விட்டால் அந்த பணம் என்னவாகும், அதை என் வீட்டார்கள் எப்படி பெறுவது?. இந்த சந்தேகம் நீண்ட நாட்களாக எனக்கு தோன்றுகிறது. இதற்கு விளக்கம் வேண்டும் ஐயா 🙏.

    Sir, for Mutual Fund return calculation we can use XIRR.
    But for comparing two stocks’s return, we can use CAGR right? Because month on month investment illa sir in stocks, one time purchase only for the most part. Kindly clarify

    • @InvestmentInsightsTamil
      @InvestmentInsightsTamil  Год назад +1

      Most of us buy our investment at different periods of time, not necessarily in SIP. For different dates of investment, XIRR gives you accurate return rate. You can use XIRR even if you have bought a stock just once. Or in other words, XIRR fits all situation to calculate the return rate of our investments.

    If I have a holdings of $30k in my portfolio and due to a need if I plan to sell $15k from it, on what criteria should I pick the assets(stocks and etfs) to sell?
    - sell stocks/ETFs that has given me good returns?
    - sell those that has not given good returns?
    - keep those that have potential to give good returns in future and sell others?
    - sell ones that were bought earliest and keep ones bought recently?

      @@InvestmentInsightsTamil Ok. If this applicable for not selling all the SHARES and only partly selling few shares (of the same company) ... ? Also, what do put in the Current Value column for the shares SOLD ? Zero ? Won't the previously BOUGHT Shares (of the same company) Current Value mess up with XIRR if we already SOLD few shares of the same ?

    • @InvestmentInsightsTamil
      @InvestmentInsightsTamil  Год назад +1

      @@KarthikeyanRamaswami Good point. So when you sell a stock, the "invested money" column will have sales proceeds as a positive value. And the current value cell needs to be updated to be negative of sales proceeds value, so that the current total value reflects the right current total value.
      let me see if I can add another table that can accommodate for sold units as well, so that it is clear for data entry.
