Thanks so much!! They came with my 328 and I couldn't figure out exactly how to do it from the manual, I need a better visual reference. This helped so much!

Thank you so much for this. I have a fine gauge sk270 which came with the E/M magic cams but no M and E cams. I managed to find M cams but when I ordered the E cams they were for the standard gauge. The opposite to your setup re E cams but now I realise I can use both.

Thank you so much :) I got those with the machine, but I had no idea what they are for. Now I do and I'm so excited :D

Do they work on sk 280 or the sk 360?
Are the rails/ srew at different position?

@@patryce1000 short answer is: I don't know, because I don't have those machines. It really depends on the carriage, which has to have the attachment points for the cams. The bed pieces should fit any standard gauge bed.

the placement of the red and white point cams is what is confusing me. So I see that you put them three needles to the right and left of the area between the diamonds, is that right? In my manual, the position is different, it looks like the middle of the point cam in right on the edge of the diamond, each one between 24 needles. Also, I still don't understand the meaning of the E M cam knitting the end needle??

Rarely will you have your edges exactly at the edge of the pattern repeat. The cams serve two purposes, if you're creative: End needle knits, and Motifs (the E and M). You rarely want your patterning to go all the way to the edge... take lace for example, you wouldn't want islets at the edge... and pulling the end needles to D every row gets old fast... which is why the cams were invented.

@@akerujoyden4787 Would LOVE to see a specific video showing another way of NOT patterning end needles without having to pull those end needles into D position each time when working a tuck stitch or something pretty please :)

There are two types available, but they fit different machines and are Not interchangeable due to the spacings of the projections on the back side. You can contact a dealer or you can find them on ebay if you are certain which gauge you need and how to identify them.

@@akerujoyden4787 Hello. Are the bearings of singer 700 and silver reed 280 the same? I'm asking this for; I want to use empisal sc-3 Automatic Linker with singer 700. Tested with Silver Reed sk280.

@@ChrisCowell7 while I am unsure what you mean by bearings; the SC-3 linker is designed to work with the standard gauge machines and definitely works with SK700.
