Man that photo brings back memories!! I met Jason Seehorn with my grandfather brought me to giants training camp. The two players that gave me the time of day and spoke to us was Jason Seehorn and Hershel Walker. I was so young and I swear on everything Hershels arms were bigger than my torso. They both signed for me. Oh man how could I forget, David Megget too. That may have been a different practice. Megget was a cheat code on techno super bowl back in day.

Did they not see the potential for backlash?
I think that's precisely why they decided to pursue it as a promotional strategy to begin with. Couple that with some semi-controversial all the way to controversial wide receivers and it's kind of a genius PR move disguised as a subtle in-joke among football fans. And for the record I think TO gets it as much as he is or was receiving the paychecks to participate in the campaign at all.
Not only that, TO definitely had butterfingers through out his career. Worst hands of any Hall of Famer, but incredible athlete.
@@underthetrees4780 thats not true, the narrative that he had butterfingers was completely overblown. He had some issues his first 2 seasons then had great hands for his next 8 seasons, then started having some drops his last few years in the league, but his entire prime he was very sure handed, he had drops here and there but was never "butterfingers" and has over 1000 catches. Some of the top receivers in the league always have high drop numbers because they get the ball thrown to them constantly.

TO is probably the greatest athlete to ever play receiver, but not a great hands guy which is ok. You mentioned TO being over a 1000 catches, which is a reflection of durability, among other things

I'm from the Bay Area and watched TO play every weekend for his entire Niner career and can tell you he didn't have butterfingers, did he drop the occasional pass, yes, but not enough to warrant that moniker. He was much more than just a great athlete, he was as close to being a perfect receiver as you could get, top 5 route runner ever, best run after catch ever, great blocker, went over the middle, and could stretch the field vertically with legit breakaway speed, he's right next to Jerry in my book. Also a receiver who actually has butterfingers is out of the league, not arguably the second greatest receiver of all time, that's all I'm saying. He made tough catches every week. Now is he the most sure handed receiver ever? No, but his drops weren't so big that he could be called butterfingers

I met Terrell Owens at a book signing in Philadelphia the year that he started playing for the Eagles. It also coincided with his biography being released. He was actually a pretty cool guy, he signed all the books I brought for him to sign then chatted for a second and even allowed me to get a picture with him. This was the year they would go on to the Superbowl only to lose to the Patriots I believe, and then after that the infamous drama started. I dunno. I think there's a touch of diva in every wide receiver.
That was a great season we had, my favorite. Time flies~
TO was a beast and shouldn't have even been playing in the Super Bowl. Eagles didn't win but dude deserved a championship.
