Good job trusting that direction from the Lord to take a breather. We aren’t any good to anyone when we give so much we deplete ourselves. Your heart is right before him, willing to give and love and serve. We all need to know our limits and rest before we are maxed out, kuddos for knowing your symptoms. I had a phrase several years ago that really helped me have more courage for balance in that way. “It’s not my job to set myself on fire to keep you warm.” I thought, if I have a proverbial extra coat, I can offer it, but if I have given and given and have no coat even for myself, I don’t have to be a martyr to keep others comfortable. It’s okay to rest and restore. I’m so grateful we have a couple of those examples in the scriptures when the Savior went to be alone so he could rest and restore. 💖
