I have been making these for years and they are a huge seller! My formulation is very different, as I use sodium percarbonate and sodium borate along with 2 surfactants for powerful cleansing. They are definitely the bomb! I use a small moon cake press for my 1.5 oz ones.
Omg this is fantastic. I cant believe I never put this together on my own!!! You are everything! Truly hope there will be a year two...just not enough soapers like you in the community.
I just stumbled onto your channel, actually looking at other recipes for " incendiary porcelain throne detoxifying devices", and this recipe is the bomb (no pun intended, of course)!! I certainly hope you are around for many years to come, because I have become very interested in ecofriendly cleaning products, but can't always afford the astronomical prices charged for some of them. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
AWESOME! I'm learning soaping so I can retire from cleaning with an income source, which I"ve done for 40+ years. All I want to know is...WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL THOSE YEARS? Thank You!!!!
I tried it and I love it the only difference is I added dawn dish soap instead of Castel soap gave it a nice clean smell and nice little color I love thank you for that helping toilet chore
I dont have any molds but I want to try this recipe since it goes all the way up and I dont have to buy extra ingredients, I have Castile soap. Could i just make the recipe and store in a mason jar, then weigh out 3.5 oz when I go to drop in the toilet?
I just found your channel....needed some cleaning products for my essential oil business got tired of making soaps...anyway I tried your recipe two times for the fizzies, one with castille (no foam at all) and once with soap nuts with glycerine (no foam) what am i doing wrong?? thanks jan
I have Baking Soda, Citric Acid, Water, Castille Soap and Orange Essential Oil and Bath Bomb Molds.... I am so going to try this recipe out. Will have to research Soap Nut Extract.
RUclips will probably flag this, but Sh*ter Fizzer is what first came to my mind. Love this idea! I’m going to have to get some soap nuts bc we have crazy hard water that drives me batty.
That’s an awesome name! So do you have to take steel wool to toilets to take care of the ring too? A comment a few days ago made me realize that I’ve never lived in an area that doesn’t have loads of mineral deposits that collect at the water line. 😂
@@MrsSoapAndClay I have had to use steel wool in the past, but I’ve found lysol or Clorox makes a toilet bowl gel cleaner in a black bottle that does pretty good. I squirt tons up under the lip and then let it sit for awhile. Then scrub with one of the disposable wand things. But I’d much rather use a product that’s more environmentally friendly and supports small business. Our water here is so hard we have deposits on everything and go through CLR so fast. My house is 100 years old which doesn’t help. The limestone dust is never ending!
I love this! I may have just placed an Amazon order for some citric acid, bomb molds, and soap nuts. What ratio do you use when you steep the soap nuts?
Said Amazon order was supposed to get here tonight... got the notification it was less than 10 stops away... I watched the dot circle my neighborhood, then travel all the way to the warehouse in Sumner... I'm sad lol
These look great but would not work in Aussie loos. The water level in our toilets just sits in the very bottom. When I first saw a loo in the US, I thought it was blocked.😂
@@MrsSoapAndClay this is probably why you totally should do a demo in the toilet. That way people can see the water level you have and compare it to what they have in their own bathroom 🚽 I’m from Australia too so am wondering if a bit of extra concentrated soap nut extract would make a difference?
LMAO !!! Potty pucks... aka: toilet bombs... would soap nut powder be any different? I know you said you steep them (how long usually, and so they dissolve?), but would the powder produce a product that has less waste?
Soap nut powder would totally work! I always have loads of soap nuts on hand because of the crazy amounts of dish soap I make, but that would totally work!
Castile soap is defined as a soap using plant oils, but the way it’s seen today is as a 100% olive oil soap. It can be a solid bar using sodium hydroxide, or a liquid soap using KoH.
Ahhhhhhh don’t ever use steel wool on your toilet bowl. It will leave silver lines like a stick blender in a crockpot. Use a pumice stone if you have hard deposits on your bowl.
I don’t use it on my toilets, I use it on the hard water ring. 😂 I don’t think it’s even steel wool though; some sort of screen thing. I dunno; been several years since I’ve needed to!
My balls didnt foam....they fizzed :( is it because i used a soap nut paste? I bought soap nut powder and mixed it with water to make a paste...any insight would be helpful.Thank You
I might be doing just that! Welcome to my channel - content is daily but as a result, dinner and editing time often collide. If that’s cool, then welcome! If not, you can show yourself out.
Ha! So there’s an entire section of an FAQ devoted to it; I notice it and do it intentionally at this point, just because it makes people mad enough to send me nasty emails. 😅
*note: I have loads of PPE because so many Sudsers have sent me boxes and boxes. This video was filmed quite a while ago. 😂
I was going to suggest Uline.. I just saw a pretty good deal through them. Glad you have some on hand now!

@@tnvolzfan9457 your statement just gave me hope. How to you preserve and package for sale.
@@abijorohjuliet3055 you need a broad spectrum preservative which is effective for a pH of up to at least 6. My packaging is unique.
How do you make the soap nut extract in water and in glycerin? Really love the vids.

You could make it planet themed and call it a Uranus toilet bomb. That's hilarious!
I have never heard of these. What a great gift idea!!!! Def gonna try these even for myself.
Maybe this year 2021 you could show how to make the Soap nuts concentrate
These are sooooo cool!!! I love it! I've heard of these but never seen them or known how to make them so thanks!!!
My molds are silicon cube molds, ice cube size. I should be able to throw a few of them in to make sure the foam reaches the top, right?
Awesome! Call them, Bowl Bombs...🚽💣 (🤦♀️😆)
That still makes me giggle. 😂
@@MrsSoapAndClay That's fair; 'Soap Nuts', cracks me up😂

What does the soap nut extract do? Also is fermented soap nut extract the same thing?
Can I use soap nut powder?

Awesome video...I will really like if you can point me out to a video of yours where I can learn how to package and preserve them for sale
Great video, thanks
Do you use deseeded soap nuts?
You bet!
What if i dont have citeic acid?
Bog balls. 😂 Love it.
That's awesome! Could I add sodium borate for extra cleaning or would that not work?
Thoughts on adding color?
You totally can! Just make sure you keep the color light and avoid colors that may stain; nobody wants a pink toilet. Or maybe they DO! 😂
