I just wanted to leave a little comment to say what a wonderful little video. My dad would often take me past here as a child whenever we would visit Whitby, just as his father did, and I would always love the smokey smell and want to see inside. Hey Simon Nice of you to endorse a local business & fortune's kippers is one of the best in town . I have had their kippers & boy, oh boy They're good 👍 Tip... Simply buy one from the shop, take home put the kettle on ,slip the kipper in a measuring jug & add the boiled water . Job done !! All you need now is drain the kipper, add a slice of brown bread & a steaming mug of Yorkshire tea 😋. Thanks for sharing, Chin Chin, my friend .🫡👍

Get something out of there every visit absolutely gorgeous. They sell out fast as they are so. Popular. For those who dont go to Whitby so often they do deliver on line and if you know you're going you can order in advance so you guarantee your favourites.
My grandfather's cold cure❤ Take a walking stick ,1pt milk,bottle of brandy.Retire to bed. Put walking stick at end of bed😊 Throw the milk away😮 Drink brandy.When you see 5 walking sticks!! You won't care about the cold😂😂😂 My late mum loved kippers😊 The gift that lingers😢Phew😂 Kept hearing 4 kippers, 4 kippers is that like 4 candles?? To be fair they looked bloomin great. Nice place whitby, I've tried kippers from fortune's over the last 40 year's on and off just like ther kippers,ever time I've had them I've shat through the eye of a needle,they always look tempting is why I kept trying them , I've also noticed off putting smells sometimes in the centre of the kippers, rank , its a shame as they look and smell great when buying them,, so yea if you want a good clear out then go there it's guaranteed,
My experience too. They use Norwegian fish that are frozen, over smoke them to compensate, tarry pieces of boot leather, very unpleasant. Used to be better product in years gone by.
