I just want to tell you... I am a teacher I teach little children english language. We once watched one of your videos with the students. The idea was that I show them someone from abroad learning slovak language. You see? English speaking people learn languages too and yes, our language too and look how fun it can be. They liked it sooo much. Now they are always asking me: When do we watch another video with the lady who likes fidorkas?" :D ..You don´t even know what a great source of inspiration you are.
Jakub! You make my day! this story melts my heart :) I am glad I am inspiring small kids to appreciate more Slovakia and their language and culture! We should keep that, its the reason why this country is soo beautiful :)
Thanks Sofia, ad you like Philippines too. I am missing it a bit, hopefully I get to visit again someday soon. For now, I'm enjoying exploring Slovakia 😊

Hi Kimberly, my wife is from Pampanga and I am from Slovakia. We live in the U.K. I have been to Philippines 8 or 9 times ( don't remember exactly) It's nice to hear that you like it in Slovakia.
Thanks Branislav 😊 I love Slovakia, it's different from Philippines but also a beautiful country! Regards on your Filipina wife, and always be safe there! 🙂
Hello Kimberley - and many thanks for your another lovely video! Well, there is no question that Philippines is a country of a great natural beauty and nice people - that attracts tourists. Anyway, you might tell us more about things "below the surface" in Philippines, which are so important for daily life and invisible for a superficial tourist: For example, about health care, safety, education, public transportation, environmental matters, unemployment rate, conditions for maternity leave and family life, etc. After all my extensive travelling and work in many countries, I'm convinced that Central Europe has some special advantages for the daily good-quality life, including a nice life-to-work balance. Beautiful and growing Slovakia is no exception. Even such an elementary thing - like safe drinking tap water practically everywhere - is by far not common in many parts of the world. And travelling is so easy from here (well, after the world emerge from this gloomy global pandemic times...). Best wishes from the brotherly Czech Republic!
Thanks a lot! In the coming videos, I will be making videos comparing my life here in Slovakia and Philippines, where I will share more than just the good sides of it :) I hope it will be helpful for other people :) Thanks so much for sharing these ideas with me! 😎
@@ChasingKimberly Many thanks Kimberley for your extremely quick and nice response! Yes - please be our eyes and link to the life in Philippines! Frankly - I also feel that many people in Slovakia need this balanced view from the outside to appreciate better so many good aspects of life in Slovakia. Best from Brno (CR) - Aleš.

Phillipines is an amazing country and I always wanted to visit there, but once I'll be able to travel I'd love to go there sometime :D Also those clips, absolutely beautiful! I wanna go there even more now haha. But I'm also glad you like our country :)

Every country in the world is beautiful!! Slovakia is that hidden gem buried in the mountains of Central Europe waiting for people to discover. Philippines is great too! I wouldn’t say which country is better or more beautiful, because each country is different and we don’t compare them on an absolute scale. But no matter how different the beauty is, it’s always a great experience to go to another place and discover a different beauty. In short, the world is a beautiful place!
I could not agree more. I feel so blessed to be able to have a chance to travel and see few countries already. And now even live in Slovakia. I hope more people would appreciate how beautiful the world is 💚
Hopefully, once travel is allowed and you and your husband maybe visit the Philippines, you could vlog it? Such a beautiful country and I think you'd do a great job. I'm so relieved you love Slovakia, especially since it's such a big move. I tried to live in England and just couldn't adjust so I'm in awe of you!
Yes we hope too that soon we will be able to visit Philippines again, my husband specially could not wait to be in the beach again 😂😂 I will for sure make a vlog about it!
same at first i didn't know where is slovakia is but when i meet someone who is from slovakia and i got curious what is it like or what culture they have and i found out that slovakia is a beautiful country and there are so many castles and now im trying to learn slovak language 🙂😍
Wow, it's incredible to hear about your experience moving from the Philippines to Slovakia! It's inspiring to see how you have embraced the beauty of Slovakia and found happiness in your new home. Your positive outlook and adventurous spirit are truly commendable. Thank you for sharing your story and showcasing the beauty of Slovakia. Wishing you continued joy and fulfillment in your new life! 🌍🇵🇭🇸🇰
Wow, congratulations for achieving 100% wholesome community! It's rarely, I'm used to toxic people insulting eachother. Keep up the work! If you're interested in Slovak history, traditional clothes and what it was like to live in Slovakia centuries ago, I would recommend Slovak National Museum in Martin and... idk the name for it... Skrátka skanzen Martine, aj múzeum aj skanzen sú najväčšie na Slovensku, iba odporúčam :))
Thank you! I always believe that if we put positive vibes in everything we do, it will spread across to people too. I wish that is what is happening 😊😊 I will definitely check that museum! I am really keen on trying that costume Slovak girls wear. 😂

Hi Kimberly, glad you are here :) Honestly, I would love you to teach .... or better say, Slovak people should learn from you and all Phillipinos - HOW TO BE NICE to eachother, HOW TO BE POSITIVE, and HOW TO STOP STARING at people for no reason :D I am Slovak, but to be honest I really struggle to get over most of the slovak mentality :D

I know most of the Slovaks doesn't care much about Philippines , but I really like Philippines and I would love to visit ❤️❤️❤️ . Thank you for your videos !
Hi, my name is Yuriy, and I’m Ukrainian living in Berlin, Germany. I’m planning to move to Slovakia for living. By the way, I’ve been to the Philippines and Manila back in 2009. And I love Balut, even when Europeans and Americans cannot eat it! Your both countries are beautiful! I would love to visit Philippines again. I’ve been to Manila, Cebu, and some other town with a ship called Doulos. It was a floating book fair. Good memories!
Never been to philipines, but i would love to. My stister was there twice and both her expirience and yours make me wanna see ot more. I was quite impressed by by your freediving. Did you attend a course/class or did it come naturaly?
Friends influenced me. And it just came naturally as I go so often to the sea and swim. I never took a proper classes, I thought I will when I was still in the Philippines but then, I moved to Slovakia already 😂
Now i understand how brave you are. Leaving home and going to another country not even in same continent. Btw, Philippines look wonderful. I loved sea after my first visit, but i was in croatia and they dont have sand beach. I really want visit some sand beach :-D
hi maam this 2024; still worth it to go there in slovakia? hows about cost of living? and average salary of skilled workers? hope this coming weeks we pass the final interview 🙏
I have visited Philippines for 24 times in last 5 years and actually I would be there even now if not banned to leave australia. It is kinda easy for me since I am a Slovak living in Sydney. I must admit that i haven't clue where exactly Phlippines is and I would probably place it somewhere in south america. All came when I was browsing internet and it showed me some ad to buy a private island. So i searched for buy a private island and it showed me some islands for sale in Palawan. Of course I checked the map and since then I know where the Philippines are :) Since then I visited General Santos, Davao, Ozamiz, Cebu, Bohol, Bantayan, Boracay, Palawan, Siargao, Manila of course. Still have in bucket Siquijor, Camiguin, most wanted eastern Samar (must be beautiful sunrise over there) and many other places. From my 24 trips I spent most of the time in Cebu so it is like my second home there and actually I am thinking of moving there. What I like the most about the philippines is: weather - there is summer 300 days a year, people - very respecful, with good manners (except for taxi drivers in Manila :D) and always smiling prices - everything is cheap like in czechoslovakia in 1980s, well not everything, if you want some western foods that's far more expensive than in sydney (pizza, nutella, etc.), but with streetfood won't go over 5 euro per day beaches - those in provinces are far better than Boracay, no tourists, no noise from bars, just few local people that's what I really love there nature - you know slovakia is a landlocked country so we know things that can be seen in the Philippines only from some adventure books. Even those destinations where slovaks usually go for holidays can not offer what Philippines has because they are heavily commercialized. You have a lot of places which are not spoiled by tourism and are same like they were a hundred years ago. One have just to rent a motorbike and explore. food - well not all, chorizo and chicken barbecue shouldn't be sweet hahaha, but otherwise food is good, lechon in cebu has no competition at all, also some seafoods which are for slovaks quite rare. and most favorite mango float and leche flan
I agree with all your points! I also dont like Manila haha :D And YES, Boracay is over rated. There are far more beautiful islands in the Philippines than Boracay!. I love Cebu, because its a big city, you can get all the necessities in life, plus its close to other unspoiled islands in the Philippines, you can just take a motorbike or ride a boat and you will be in Bohol, Leyte, Bacolod, wonderful places. Slovakia and Philippines, are totally different country. And coming from a tropical country, seeing snow for the first time and these very tall trees in the forest of Slovakia, they all look soo amazing to me!
@@ChasingKimberly another very big advantage you don't need a car there, motorbike is just enough. Cebu ... any direction you go within one or two hours you find a beach, quiet, with white sand and without annoying tourists. Bohol was good few years ago but last time I was there it is starting to look like little Boracay already. Snow is not as good as it may look to you, especially if you live outside of city, once it starts melting you will have mud everywhere. Also what I love is fruits there. People in slovakia don't know how taste real banana, pineapple or mango unless they tried some from street sellers. It's totally different taste than those they buy in supermarkets. Slovakia and Philippines are totally different in many aspects, but for me they have also many things in common. Maybe not nowadays, but I remember times when people in slovakia had very similar mentality to filipinos. Parents taught children respect towards older people, families were gathering in large numbers for christmas, christening, easter and other religious occassions. Familes were really close to each other. In Slovakia are these things vanishing. It is not like I remember it from times when I was kid. I wasn't in slovakia for 8 years, and before I spent 7 years in ireland so all together I don't live there for over 15 years and if someone ask me when I will visit slovkia I usually answer come to philippines we can meet there :D
I absolutely love that you said that Slovakia is the heart of Europe! Im sure you know how Slovaks hate, when they call our country eastern Europe :D Slovakia is beautiful, but living here, as a Slovak, is sometimes not perfect, and nowadays, a lot of people choose to leave the country...compared to the rest of Europe there is mafia, crazy politics, poor health system, not a very good higher education, low salaries etc. Ive never been to Philippines, but Id love to go one day! Edit: I absolutely love when people make videos about our country, showing the world how beautiful this piece of earth somewhere in Europe is :P
Hi Jana! Thanks for watching my video. Im glad you liked it! For me, there is no perfect place in the world where we can live and have a perfect life. Sometimes its just a matter of changing our perspective and looking at the brighter side of life. People here compare their countries to the rest of Europe, while I compare Slovakia to the Philippines and I am totally happy. I didnt have a bad life in the Philippines but i can say that the quality of life we have i Slovakia is much better and I wish people would appreciate that more 😄
@@ChasingKimberly Hi! Thanks for the reply! I completely understand 😊 But I also understand why someone might say it's a "horrible" country, and want to leave 😊 I do not think that, I actually love Slovakia, and feel very fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful place ❤️
Why do you feel so happy for living in Slovakia? I think most Slovaks have a very negative opinion of our country and criticize it too much. There are low waiges, working conditions are poor, health care is poor and expensive (for Slovaks). I feel like the only thing we have a positive view about is our nature. At least that is my experience.
Been watching your videos recently and I noticed something......... Free-diver ka pala Mrs Kimberly! Hahaha! Thats a very courageous sport. Anyways, I will be moving to Bratislava next spring year for working purposes. Is the home internet connection speed there acceptable for daily Zoom meetings? Thanks and baia con dios..
I've visited Philippines once and for a few days only. I hiked the Taal Volcano and been to Mindoro island at White Beach. Road from Manila to Taal Volcano took me 9 hours and I traveled by van, boat, bus, tricycle and jeepney 🙂 I tried snorkeling at White Beach but I might be the only person who can't breathe with snorkel so it must have been very funny for my guide to watch me screaming into snorkel 😄
Roads in the Philippines are not the best, that's why it's still sucks to travel by land there. But anyways, the destination is always rewarding so I stopped complaining haha :D Sounds like you had quiet an adventure in the Philippines! :)
Yeah, i do understand your husband. I left Slovakia 11 years ago. Live in UK,USA and now in Mexico. Yet i always hated Mexico. It just never has been my cup of tea. I am always showing your videos to my wife, cause she is really stressing out about going to back to Slovakia with me :). As a Mexican she has a hard time leaving her family behind.
I feel her. For us, its really difficult to leave family behind. I wish you guys all the best! Slovakia is not a bad country and I hope she will give it a chance 😀 All the best for you guys!
Hey Kimberly, I hope my comment isn't too late and that you will read it (or maybe other Slovak people) because i have some questions about Slovakia that are important to me. I am planning to move there after my education ends (it will take 3 more years). Was it easy for you to move there? Like the bureaucracy, getting the Slovak identity card and so on. Where do you life? You don't have to tell me the exact location or something like that, but i would like to know if you life in east or west Slovakia. What is working in Slovakia like? I don't know if you have another job than youtube, but if so, please tell me what it is like? Are Slovaks more conservative or liberal? I wanted to visit Slovakia to talk to the people and to see what they think about the country, but i don't have a lot of time because of studying and the current situation with Corona isn't making anything easier for me. What is the weather in Slovakia like? Is it raining a lot or is the sun shining more often? Is it snowing in the winter? (because i really love snow). And is Slovakia a quiet place? I mean the big cities obviously won't be but the countryside maybe? That are my questions, i hope that isn't to much to ask for. I would appreciate it, if you (or anyone) could answer these.
Philippines is such a beautiful country talga. But no doubt, malaki ang glow-up if maka labas ka ng Pinas hahaha Thanks for sharing! New subscriber here😁 #Proud🇵🇭 -Daisy

Sorry you have to experience Slovakia in this lockdown and stupid politics bullcrap. Im sure when all of this settles down , it will get better and as always keep it up 👍
I'm sure too, for now I have all the time to learn something new whilst this lockkdown is still in place, when it's over. I will be free like a bird traveling to every corner of Slovakia 😂😂
It was indeed a beautiful townhall! I love seeing old buildings like this and it's nice that almost every city I went in Slovakia, I see old buildings like this. 😊
I spent 3 months working in Makati back in 2010. Very interesting experience, unfortunately haven't seen much (just Bohol, Batangas and Taal volcano) due to work duties. Finally came back in 2016 to spend a month around taking scuba course in Moalboal, joining boat cruises in El Nido and the highlight was hiking for 2 days around Batad rice terraces. Amazing country with many hearty people. Learned interesting phrases like "ang mahal naman", "hindi ko naintindihan" and some swear words of course :) The down side was back in 2010 there was a man shot on the street in front of the office on my first day, a month prior my arrival a bus of Chinese tourists was taken by terrorists and generally people advised to stay away of South like Mindanao. Not sure if Duterte made that region a bit safer, haven't followed up since.
Sounds you had a lot of experiences with the Philippines already! And it's nice you have learned some Tagalog phrases, we really when foreigners try to speak tagalog to us! It is soo fun 😊 Philippines has a lot of challenges in the past and for sure will have more in the future, but I am wishing all the best for my country!

Welcome to Slovakia, You are very kind Filipinien women and I wish You all the best in Slovakia...I cross fingers for your happines (:
Thank you 😊
Every country in the world is beautiful!!
I hope more people would appreciate how beautiful the world is 💚
@@ChasingKimberly True, people should really go see the rest of the world and open their horizons once the pandemic is over!

Hopefully, once travel is allowed and you and your husband maybe visit the Philippines, you could vlog it? Such a beautiful country and I think you'd do a great job.

Hi Yuriy! glad you like Philippines. I miss it more now that you mentioned it 😂
Never been to philipines, but i would love to.
I really want visit some sand beach :-D
maybe someday you will be able to visit Philippines too!! I will be really glad if you do, my top recommendation is Coron and Bohol 😊😊

Hallo Kim, Have a nice Day. Nice to see and hear you again.

Really your first snow? Amazing : )
Yup! I was so excited to see snow when I came here :)
You are so cute ❤️ Thanks for comming in Slovakia, i feel so good, you're here 🌞
💚💚💚
I have visited Philippines for 24 times in last 5 years and actually I would be there even now if not banned to leave australia. It is kinda easy for me since I am a Slovak living in Sydney.
I must admit that i haven't clue where exactly Phlippines is and I would probably place it somewhere in south america. All came when I was browsing internet and it showed me some ad to buy a private island. So i searched for buy a private island and it showed me some islands for sale in Palawan. Of course I checked the map and since then I know where the Philippines are :)
Since then I visited General Santos, Davao, Ozamiz, Cebu, Bohol, Bantayan, Boracay, Palawan, Siargao, Manila of course. Still have in bucket Siquijor, Camiguin, most wanted eastern Samar (must be beautiful sunrise over there) and many other places. From my 24 trips I spent most of the time in Cebu so it is like my second home there and actually I am thinking of moving there.
What I like the most about the philippines is:
weather - there is summer 300 days a year,
people - very respecful, with good manners (except for taxi drivers in Manila :D) and always smiling
prices - everything is cheap like in czechoslovakia in 1980s, well not everything, if you want some western foods that's far more expensive than in sydney (pizza, nutella, etc.), but with streetfood won't go over 5 euro per day
beaches - those in provinces are far better than Boracay, no tourists, no noise from bars, just few local people that's what I really love there
nature - you know slovakia is a landlocked country so we know things that can be seen in the Philippines only from some adventure books.
Fakt dobré video 🙂 💪
Ďakujem 😎
I was in Boracay few years ago. Really nice island. Propably after reconstruction island is no longer same as before.
At least that is my experience.
uz si odisla zo slovenska ?
Been watching your videos recently and I noticed something.........
Free-diver ka pala Mrs Kimberly! Hahaha! Thats a very courageous sport. Anyways, I will be moving to Bratislava next spring year for working purposes. Is the home internet connection speed there acceptable for daily Zoom meetings? Thanks and baia con dios..
There are a lot of options when it comes to Internet connections. We used to have UPS and now O2, for both, I didnt have a serious problem so far 😉
Hi Kim.
You are realy good at diving! 👍🙂
Thanks Marek! It was one of my favorite hobby when I was in the PHilippines :)

Hey Kimberly,
I hope my comment isn't too late and that you will read it (or maybe other Slovak people) because i have some questions about Slovakia that are important to me.
I would appreciate it, if you (or anyone) could answer these.
i feel the same, my husband nickname is Danko too.. but we living here in UK.. i miss slovakia, i miss the food..
Hope someday you get to visit Slovakia again! 😉

Assuming you used only your personal photos for the video I'm suprised and gald tou visited Topoľčany (at 4:51) and liked our beautiful town hall ❤️
OMG i vvould rather live in Philiphines, looks so great
I hope you get to visit Philippines someday 😉
