Hey I’m getting my printer tomorrow. Do you have a link to which film I can use for the printer other than the usual 23 inch Roland paper? I’ve seen a few videos where there are shorter film that can be used but where should I find them. Thank you!
Wow. What a world of difference between trying to print white on the BN-20D. I have to upload into adobe and manually create the white inside the design and export again or it will not print.

They should of thought more about the market and rolled out a 600mm wide printer. This is an expensive desktop printer and the transfers are not goona be cheap compared to the trade prices that are available for transfers. Roland got this all wrong.
Love that printer. Melissa I am looking into making decals and hangtags for the airport. Do you know what will be the best printer for that? It has to last for years. Thank you.
If this BY-20 has the technology of BN2, then the printing speed is extremely slow. I am interested to see the real-time printing speed video. I have the BN2 and it just prints CMYK+White very very slowly.
Do you have bi directional on and are you printing in High Quality vs Standard? Also if you are not printing the full width across the material, change the orientation of your image so it's utilizing the page width instead of portrait. Since the printhead moves all the way across, it will print faster in landscape than portrait as well as those other setting changes.

Make sure you are using the exact settings I am in the video. There is a setting in "Print Parameters" that would put a full white box around the image and you don't want to use that option.
Melissa I am way confused with the underbase settings in Flexidesigner. Do you have a video showing all the options by any chance? If I use Underbase>Variable Underbase and set the choke .01" it lays down a pretty thin later of white. With a black design almost non existent. If I don't select either Underbase option neither Solid nor Variable the white underbase is very white even on a black design BUT I don't get a choke. Is there something I'm missing that I must do to get a real white underbase using the Variable Underbase setting with choke?
Be careful with Roland company. We bought BN20 DTF Printer from Roland UK. The printer did not work and Roland refused to change the printer only offer us repair we lost £4000 with Roland UK.

Can you make a start to finish on dtf for the bn2-20. Please . There's no option for light or dark garments.
You can not print DTF transfers on a Roland BN2 or BN. The BY-20 or BN-20D is the Roland DTF printer

Well I can tell you my biggest issue right now is how fast the white ink runs through. That's my biggest complaint about the BY20
