    Wow, I can believe! Nice job, what printhead is inside? Same like mk1?

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  11 месяцев назад

      It's pretty much the same Piezo inkjet printhead that was in the original BN-20, but this one allows for bi-directional printing, which is one of the reasons for the substantial speed increase 🙂

    Is this printer for cardstock projects? I want a printer and cutter machine 2 in 1 for cardstock 300 gms, not for stickers.

      Hi there, unfortunately the BN2-20 will not be suitable for this but the Roland DG MG-300 is: gjs.co/equipment/new/p4707/roland-dg-truevis-mg-series-printer-cutter and its also available as a used demo model: gjs.co/equipment/used/

    can you install decal right away . Iheard a few time you need to wait 24 hrs for it to dry 100%

      Hi there, yes you can but best practise is to leave the ink for 24 hrs to de-gas

    Is the media for stickers waterproof and resistant?

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  5 месяцев назад

      Durability of the end product will relate directly to the type of media that you are using. For example sign vinyl will inherently be more durable to weather and UV as it is designed to be used outdoors. Heat transfer vinyl has it's own water-fastness, depending again on the chosen vinyl and fabric that it is applied to. We'd recommend checking the specifications of any self-adhesive media that you are using prior to application.

    Which version of the eco max ink does this printer use? What do you guys reckon are the functional differences in not having white? Thanks!

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, it uses the ECO-SOL MAX 2 ink. White ink is only used when printing to clear media for decals that might be applied to glass. Picture a nail polish bottle that has a clear decal so you can see the contents but also has the branding and instruction. White ink contains heavy solids unlike the other inks so maintenance is crucial to keeping the head in good order. Nozzle checks are of course difficult to see when printing to white media so you have to load a piece of clear to perform nozzle checks. Due to the nature of the ink when it is loaded the printer will do more maintenance than it would should white not be loaded. For this reason you will find you ink levels lower quicker.

    Hi, is there a setting to let it know not to use the white ink if you are printing on white media? also, does it need 240v power or 120v? Thanks!

    • @MintHillExpress
      @MintHillExpress 9 месяцев назад

      also, is lamination required for long term durability?

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  9 месяцев назад

      You can control the white ink depending on how you set the artwork with the spot colour on your graphics software, the BN2-20 requires 220-240v.

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  9 месяцев назад

      You don`t necessarily need to laminate but it will prolong the durability. @@MintHillExpress

    Hi There. Thanks for your recommendation, I purchased BN2-20A. It's been working great and I see a lot of potential. I have a quick question. Is there a way to adjust header off set amount when printing? The print always starts 3inches offset from the top and I feel it's a lot of waste. Thanks!

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  10 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately, there is no way to decrease this amount, the length is set by the sensor and is in place to protect the print head from hitting the edge of the vinyl.

    • @gilryongsong
      @gilryongsong 10 месяцев назад

      Got it. Thanks for the reply! Got one more question. Is there kiss cut and die cut settings I can download for different mediums? I'm trying various mediums such as removable and transparent. It's hard to take out stickers. Best.@@GJSAustralia

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  9 месяцев назад +3

      @@gilryongsong The ‘Die cut’ option is called ‘Perf cut’ on these printers, it is added during the artwork preparation same as the kiss cut line.
      There will be multiple videos you can watch if you search for ‘Roland Perf Cut settings’. They should be able to help you through it.
      If you are a GJS customer, and are still having trouble with getting it right, feel free to reach out to our support team. Otherwise, the supplier or dealer you purchased the machine from should be able to provide you with some assistance.

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  8 месяцев назад

      @@cryptofinders6377 The max print width is between 460mm-470mm, so it can’t print to A0 size in one print. A full size print up to 1m long will take between 15-35 minutes depending on the print settings. Hope this helps.

    • @GJSAustralia
      @GJSAustralia  8 месяцев назад

      Hi@@cryptofinders6377 this really depends on a number of factors, including the artwork that is being printed, the print mode selected, the media being uses and if it's print only or print and cut. Sorry we can't be more specific in this instance.
