They were roommates, and as he said Hongjoong is not good at organizing things 😂 and he always in his studio all the time. So maybe that's why Seonghwa always taking care of Hongjoong messiness. But now they already moved to the new dorm and have their own room though.
About the clothes thing: I guess it's because they shared a dorm room and they had a rack of clothes that was exposed and Hongjoong's were messy and he used to hang clothes on the bunk bed. He also stays in the music studio a lot hence why Seonghwa did most (or all) of the cleaning in their room. Don't know about laundry tho, maybe Seonghwa did those too.
