This is my 2jz 84' Celica supra, TH400 trans, Ford 9" rear, PT6766 turbo. The 60" on this run was not to good due to track prep,1.42, my best was 1.34.
I'll give that breathing wink a ten, and admit that's...i think the only peice of material on the planet a bit of alike, that drop and accelerated genius....well done.
You should be able to crank that headlight down manually. I love Toyota supra had a 1984 five speed and metallic gray best car ever owned. I put 326,000 miles on it. I sold it to a friend that had an 85 supra and when I was pulling out the driveway, I snagged a mean second just for old time sake. Excellent car.
You've inspired me to turn my spare MA61 into a drag car! I've just started work on it. Will be running a 1UZ 4.0L V8 Turbo. Hope i can get close to you :)
Awesome! Congratulations and cheers and good luck on beating your last record, last video I saw, this sexy beast was running tens... I was thinking I can break that... now that I think I came close to it, eeeeh, lol... But props and keep on my bro... -nrl, (ninja turtle) 2jzgte/r154 4.10 twins with better fins...
The rear axle is a narrowed Ford 9" solid axle using ladder bars and coil overs. For that pass I put on my wrinkle wall 12"X 26"X'15"" M&H slicks and Moroso 25"X4.5"X 15" in the front.. My street tires are normally 315X35 X17 Mickey Thompson ET street radials and 215 X 45 X17 R888 on the front on Weld wheels.
Fastest 2J powered Celica Supra, spraying, with a Ford 9" rear end* is more accurate. My friend ran 9.50s on a 5M back in the 90s, turbo only, factory rear housing with upgraded LSD, and axles.
Can I ask you a couple questions about that car....which rear end do you have and what suspension do you have...is any of it stock...and how did you get it 5 lug......I am building one and just needed help...thanks

turbomkiisupra good question, probably, since its closer to 9 than 8 seconds but come on, that was 8.97s that more or less 9 seconds, are you supposed to just round down to the best time?
I think the measurement, as precise as one at on a drag stip there would be no rounding either way. If racers would round every number then our timeslips would be whole numbers, which most would find quite silly. If someone owes you $100 and they give you $97 you would say that you got paid $100 because it is close?
Shoutout to you and your pops for building an inspirational work of art.
That is freaking badass!! I still have my 84 Celica Supra with a 7MGTE swap, no where near as fast as yours though haha
Yeeewwww, 7M Represent... so good to see others keeping these alive.
the dude who cheers at the end could be quagmire
Is that Michael J Fox filming?
It was my dad video taping and we built the car together. I bet he had as much adrenaline pumping as I had while piloting the car.
an absolute beast. It's been my dream to drop a 2jz on my MK2.
Dreams DO come true! Well done 👏👏👏👍
great job! love to see MKII's still out. solid rear? spraying?
very impressive!
Solid Ford 9" spraying 100 shot from from 60' out.

Always a pleasure seeing this car. You did a great job on it. I just wanted to know who painted it cause I'm in need of a painter real soon.

+Napoleon R. Leyesa Hey, I have a very similar setup as you in my 86 MKII. I was wondering where you got the new internals for the stock twins?
That is a fast car.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
1981 Supra/Celiac oil leaked and ran without oil 3 hours at no problem. I missed my a little GT
Amazing!
fucking impressive!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😮💨
Is this beast still alive nowadays?
Would love to hear the story.
Awesome!!
Ooo the buckle
Yep, That's what happens when you don't have subframe connectors.
WOW FAST
I liked it!
Hard to tell... did you keep the stock 4 lug?
What rims and slicks were you running? Thx
Amazing car

Congrats Robbie... Hit me up sometime or stop up.. Adam calm
Holy shit
Do it with a 5mgte and I'll be impressed ;)
I believe I had the fastest 5m with a stock auto trans in a mkii. Only ran 12.7 and it was hard to keep the head on it.
sounds like a challenge to me
Run a 9 second pass and I will be impressed
I'm coming for you and ur 8.9....👨🔧

Nice, me like :)
We hade an celika supra
alright robby!
So...is this like the stock block and such? Dad had an 84 and I fell in love with it...but it was let go like 15 16 yes ago....I really want 1
It is a 2JZ swap, stock 2J block with Eagle rods and Weisco pistons. It is hard to keep the head on a M series engine with a bunch of boost
Where can I seen your build thread?
where did you get the rear spoiler?
+Kingck Its factory 84' spoiler, 85 they changed it to a double spoiler.
+turbomkiisupra my 84 has a double decker spoiler.
haunt d your 84 is either built after 6/84, or it has 85 hatch

We put in a narrowed Ford 9" solid rear axle using ladder bar's with coilovers for suspension.
What did you do to convert the front to 5 lug
I am building a mk2 and was wanting to swap to 5 lug....what front crossmemer did you use to give yours 5 lug
@@floridagremlin42069 Conquest hubs, 300zx brakes
Conquest???? Is that the brand or the vehicle?? Trying to find them......so you just changed the hubs and left the rest of the suspension
do those spoilers have a special name? I'm trying to find one for sale
Factory spoiler on 83'-84' Celica Supra.
Do you have an Instagram account? A have some question for you ? 🙂
Any info on that rear end? I'm in the process of doing my 9 in

how wide are the axle tubes end to end?
pepe loco vs el humilde
So 9 seconds then
Would you say it is not an 8 second car if I ran 8.60?
