Thanks for watching part 2 of our Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal! Next week you’ll discover if we make it to Everest Base Camp! 🏔We can’t wait to share. If you have any questions regarding the trek, feel free to leave a comment or DM us on Instagram! instagram.com/letsmeetabroad/
Nice to see people starting to use the much more impressive (and quiet) Phortse High Trail instead of the usual twice-through-Tengboche trail. Waiting eagerly for the next instalment when you actually walk the High Scenic Trail to Pangpoche.
I would recommend it to everyone! The hike to Phortse was amazing (even with the clouds) and the homestay in Phortse was for sure the most authentic one on the trek! 🤗
I really appreciate to you guys to visited our beautiful country Nepal and hope yours trekking will be successful without any problems.lots of love from we all Nepalese ❤️
This is one of the best vlogs I have ever seen. I admire your wish to take less crowded areas & avoiding touristy places. The nice cosy meal in the end was heartwarming to see. Wish I could do something like this in this life. Inspirational. I am not physically strong or sportsmen like but I wish I can go on hikes like you two. I never thought I would ever dream about hiking.
@@LetsMeetAbroad I am literally in awe when heard the weights they are carrying absolutely stunning.... I like the route you took to EBC I'm coming up Nepal this year for about one month... I'll take the same route as yourselves... Can I just ask are the trails well marked and ready to follow as I have terrible map reading skills....
You both seem so lovely. I would love to trek with you both and I’m glad Myra started feeling better. It can be so disappointing being sick on a big trip of a lifetime. My feelings would be hurt for sure.
My friends and I just did the EBC trek in mid-September and it was amazing. It's been fun to see this area all over again through your eyes. My only wish is that we had gotten to spend more time in Namche Bazaar. We were there for less than 24 hours, but we definitely stopped in at the bakery!! So excited to follow the rest of your trek!
Thanks Adi for this amazing Everest Base Camp series. As usual nice in-depth videography. Take care and enjoy treaking. Still I can remember the night I spent at Gorokshep and Khumbhu Glaciers. Thanks again for recalling my memories.
Wow! So exotic! Touch and go there for Myra for a little while. She could have easily become dehydrated dealing with the stomach bug and that would have ended the adventure. Another fantastic video!
Great video you two! So Glad Myra started feeling better. I had gotten food poison at the beginning of our Annapurna Base Camp trek and it was miserable. So glad to see that she's feeling better and that you took some time to chill before continuing on your trek. Can't wait to see the next video! :)
Hey guys, I am so happy that Inhave found your channel. It is just perfect for planning any trip. I have a few questions for EBC: 1. Is it advisable to go directly to Namche bazar on Day 1? Won’t there be any risk of ams? 2. Which all permits are required? 3. Any tips to beat the crowd and have a better trip experience?
Have just found your channel. Really enjoying your Nepal videos. We are off to EBC in November, I’d love to know what the focal lengths of the lenses you took were. I also have an R6 and thinking of taking a 24-240mm but it isn’t a small lens. Do you have any recommendations? TIA
Amazing video guys!!! I think I have seen every video of you so far and I really like them!😍 I think you have mentioned in the lukla flight drama video that you will load up a packing video for Nepal? When are you planning this?🎒 I will go an a little worldtrip with my first stop in Nepal in July so this would help me a lot. 🌍 All the best from Austria 🇦🇹 Nina
Sad to c Myra suffered stomach upset problem during such extra adventurous trekking... Although better to take advice from a Doctor in such situation , suggest to keep Tab O2 ( loose motion), Ondem ( Vomiting), Paracetamol and some ORS powder packets....most of the time it helps during emergency...
Hi, thanks for your video. We are looking at doing the trek in November. Just wondering if you got all your permits on the route to EBC? Is it just a local permit that you get in Lukla and a national park pass you can get at the entrance gate at Monjo?
I love your videos, thanks for sharing your experience in such a genuine and candid way! I'm just about to do the EBC trek and I have one question: Myra, do you have any idea how you could have got food poisoning? Any tip on how to avoid it (besides the obvious)? Thanks 💙
Thanks! Oh that food poisoning was awful.. 1 day before the trek I ate food from the street (not knowing). My tip: just eat at high rated restaurants, boiled, fried and cooked food. No juices, no salads! But enjoy your trek!!
Hi Adi and Myra, till panchong village i was with you, just to check altitude, i installed an app on my phone. When it showed just 8 metres, i left Himalayas and found myself on my couch...you guys please carry on, i have to accalamatize for my office... difficult but have to do
;) funny! I saw your video about half, in the beginning the way you confidently say that you're going to do that trip without a guide or a porter! But some 10-15 places you show already how unsure, how uncertain, insecure, full of doubts you are. So a guide or a porter is to save you on that!! You might loose some bucks $$$ but you know being happy, worrying less is something one should choose wisely...
you could have simply talked about the situation to local people..they would give you local medicine...i am from lowland terai of nepal, from india its just stone throw away and bangladesh is around 50 to 60 km..but when i went there my bengali friend went through same situation..and they gave him some herbs and it worked...
Good about solo trek without guide is OK but you will have not get any information about surrounding ie mountains names, history , even if you get in really bad weather you will easily in hot water. Even I as a Nepali trekking a lots of trekking in Nepal. Guide is the most or even you can help local people.
Hi man what's up i hope you bout are fine . I have one request for you.you are making nice video and pramotiing tourism sector . When you make the video always use the national flag with video image otherwise some pepole doesn't no which country visiting then which place .

Amazing videos sir.
What your earning source
Felt really concerned for Myra in the beginning but happy that she is recovered and going strong now. Rooting for another video from EBC.
Yes so happy she got better!! It really didn't look good for a few days, but taking rest does wonders 😀
Nice to see people starting to use the much more impressive (and quiet) Phortse High Trail instead of the usual twice-through-Tengboche trail. Waiting eagerly for the next instalment when you actually walk the High Scenic Trail to Pangpoche.

Crazy how parasite affects different people so differently. Also, you are getting very good at picking a great title and thumbnail for your videos! :D
So refreshing to see a RUclips channel that doesn't rely on a picture of a woman in a low cut top in the thumbnail to attract viewers.
Thanks for this lots of love from Nepal❣️🖤
indian from america. you r one of the best couple having similar adventuring hobby. your wife is real soul

Wow! So exotic! Touch and go there for Myra for a little while. She could have easily become dehydrated dealing with the stomach bug and that would have ended the adventure. Another fantastic video!
Yeah it was tricky.. but luckily we managed to continue! 😄

wow! my best buddy is sick. Me-"hey let's go much higher altitude you will feel much better"
Reminded my trek to mustang on 2013. Was amazing. Watching from malaysia
Deep heavy breathing will help with altitude issues. Enjoying your video.
That's a good tip! We'll look into that the next time 😃
Thank you beautiful couple for visiting Nepal.

Hi, thanks for your video. We are looking at doing the trek in November. Just wondering if you got all your permits on the route to EBC? Is it just a local permit that you get in Lukla and a national park pass you can get at the entrance gate at Monjo?
Yes you’re right! During the trek you walk into the points where you get the permits. Can’t miss it! Enjoy your trek!! 😄
@@LetsMeetAbroad Thanks! Did you also need a TIMS card for the trek?
Is it possible to camp on the trail or in the village passed by??
Cause I have no book the accommodation in advance, afraid there will be all full.
No camping 😉 we also didn’t book in advance, I can’t imagine all of the accommodations are full, especially if you are alone or in small group!
I love your videos, thanks for sharing your experience in such a genuine and candid way! I'm just about to do the EBC trek and I have one question: Myra, do you have any idea how you could have got food poisoning? Any tip on how to avoid it (besides the obvious)? Thanks 💙

@@LetsMeetAbroad very sensible tip, thanks so much! I’ll keep watching your videos…I’ve seen so many but yours are the best! 💙
Got any Sherpa footage? That might be very interesting.
We have helicopters in wide range in Nepal
Amazing
Such a nice Video, are you from Belgium or Luxembourg? Can't pick the accents.
Haha from the Netherlands! 😀
amizing trek and lovely couple love from nepal🇳🇵 and take good care both b coz its too high altituted area of the world and no more oxygen
Thank you! 🤗
What happens if you just walk past the station and don't bother to register/pay ? Do they hunt you down and arrest you?
You can’t.. they check when you walk further.. it’s like a gate
Wow.
Thank you :)
What size (Liters) are your backpacks?
60 liters. I think it's possible with a smaller one, but we loved how these fits on our back.
The mountain you point to at 9:27 is probably not Everest.
Hi Adi and Myra, till panchong village i was with you, just to check altitude, i installed an app on my phone. When it showed just 8 metres, i left Himalayas and found myself on my couch...you guys please carry on, i have to accalamatize for my office... difficult but have to do
Haha that’s a good one 😂😂
Hi great vdo. Am a new subscriber. Would be great if you could share the costs involved , i.e flight, food, accommodation etc
Wow beautiful couple 💕😍💕😍
Thank you 😊
I should say it's blunder without guide in Nepalese mountains .
I think on the EBC trek there are enough guides around you!
Yes that is illusion . It is ok in village area but in that terrain you would wish someone to be along with you .
We still believe you can do this trek easily without guide. There are so many guides around!
you could have simply talked about the situation to local people..they would give you local medicine...i am from lowland terai of nepal, from india its just stone throw away and bangladesh is around 50 to 60 km..but when i went there my bengali friend went through same situation..and they gave him some herbs and it worked...
Thank you for your sugesstion :)
When did you all go to Nepal?
April 😄
Are you still on Nepal?
No, we did this trek last month :)
Did you take Diamox?
Yes, we did. One everyday after Namche Bazar
Hotel in Fuckthem village was not bad for such a remote place.
Oh no it's amazing what they can build!
Good about solo trek without guide is OK but you will have not get any information about surrounding ie mountains names, history , even if you get in really bad weather you will easily in hot water. Even I as a Nepali trekking a lots of trekking in Nepal. Guide is the most or even you can help local people.
Cold Lime tea without sugar could have helped in this condition
where is next video please
Lovely 🌹
Thanks
Ofcorce please visit to nepal..
What nationality is Myra? She has an accent in her English.
The Netherlands 🇳🇱
I knew it sounded familiar. I’m from Aruba but now live in America. I still have family in The Netherlands. Dankje wel voor het video. 💕
🙂❤️🌼
Is the guy Nepali? He could easily pass as one.
His name is Adi 😃 and no, he is not a Nepali
