Hey Dave, we spoke on here briefly a year or so ago. I think about your aerial stationary capture that was only visible to FLIR often. Really appreciate your grounded and scientific approach. I was thinking of purchasing a FLIR monocular (or similar device.) Do you think they would be powerful enough to potentially see at the same distance? Or is that beyond civilian-grade capability. Budget would be $500 to $1000.
Hey again! If you want zoom capabilities, I would get a system that has an optical zoom, but those tend to get pricey. You might want to take a look at the TC005 model from Topdon. It doesn't have zoom, but I bought one recently for $400 and I love it.
