    As a former contractor for an automotive paint distributor , indeed, some of those bright pigments like red or green can cost up to $1000 a GALLON.. so he’s not exaggerating

    My fire dept switched from a 2 tone color scheme (Lime Green & White) to all white and it saved around $10,000 a truck for a pumper to $15,000 for a ladder truck.

    Maybe save older units and paint or wrap em in green. Take off markings and possibly license plates. Sort of like green Ford Falcons with no license plates during Argentina's political upheavals in the 1970s.

      @dayeverydae 11 дней назад +2

      Companies stopped offering police package sedans ever since they stopped selling the more simply and reliable body-on frame units like the caprice and the crown Vic. Also the Tahoe is an SUV, not a van, but police departments are pretty much forced to make an SUV switch thanks to the automakers deciding to literally stop producing good sedans.

    • @danielschannel701
