This music is so beautiful.. It's hard to think that it's music for just an anime. Well, Puella Magi Madoka Magica is too good to be called "just an anime".
+Dragonfeathers Shirokaze Puella Magi Madoka Magica is one of the best anime ever made. That's not even my opinion, I just know deep down that it'll probably take half a century for someone to come out with an anime as good as this one. The last anime to come out that is even on the same level was Code Geass.
Sophieperky I haven't seen a single anime come close to Madoka Magica yet. I thought Code Geass might have been close but A Lull In The Sea beat it, and I still didn't feel like that even came close. Erased doesn't have shit on Madoka Magica.
+Alexander Nisbet But there have been many anime with amazing story lines that have come out over the past four years, though I will argue that Erased is the best to come out in a long time. Zankyou no terror was my favourite before that, simply because it was original and far from the cliché stuff we have been getting since 2012. Tokyo ghoul is pretty good but it was over hyped, and season two was it's downfall, they should have kept to the manga. Steins gate ran at round about the same time as Puella and it is still held as one of the top anime's of today. It beat Puella on the top anime list in the west, though the eastern rankings I'm not too sure of. Erased is great for this year, since 2015 was pretty shit, let's be honest. Even PA works struggled to bring out something remotely worth noting called Charlotte, which all in all, was the only anime I thought was worth my time last year.
+Alexander Nisbet Personally, I love the when they cry series. Certainly not the best anime's from a public perspective, but it's my favourite. I'm more of a mystery and theory fanatic myself so it's probably why I am holding Erased in such a gold stead, you know, despite it being the first none cliché anime to come out in over a year
This is the reason why I love Madoka Magica, more than just being an anime. Beyond that, it's definitely one of the most intricate works of art I've ever seen. The symbolisms, the music, everything. It's amazing. Even for people who don't really like anime, it's still worth watching.
Reminds me a bit of the vibe "Princess Tutu" carried in its anime. Same classical feel mixed with something artistically beautiful. The visuals really matched the song seamlessly.
The rebellion movie has so much different a vibe then you get from the original story. I think this is really good for setting it apart thought and the original story and rebellion vibe differently in the story as well.
Rebellions different vibe can always be explained with it being set in Homuras dream. it is the world as wished for in her mind, atleast untill it crumbles.
Rona Kavanagh Not really, but I can see how you came to that notion, based on how the notes slur into each other like in Oktavia's theme, instead of simply switching from one note to another.
Madoka magicka... what can I say.. created by probably one of the best writers in the world Gen urobuchi and now my all time favourite.. brought to me by my brother and I had no idea... no idea at all...
It's a common thing composers do! The theme for "Sis Puella Magica" is a leitmotif, "a recurrent theme throughout a musical or literary composition, associated with a particular person, idea, or situation", and so it'll sneak its way into other songs to call back to the main theme of this series.
@@salmonandsoup This whole movie consists of one Leitmotif. Listen to the OST and watch out for the little melody in the beginning. The "mada dame yo" as I like to call it :) This melody stretches across the whole movie
All I can think is …… I'm somewhere beyond 13th dimension Madoka is just behind me and she's try to kill me ( because I'm the villain ( one of the witch ) ) A ballet performance of illusion is in A thin Mist is around me It's kinda dark because I'm closing my eyes right now Edit: A comment 6 years ago ? it's a song that really suits the story of the nutcracker queen

Puella Magi Madoka Magica really have absolutely beautiful music, don't they?
+aimia100 You can say that again
Thank you, Ms. Kaijura (is that her last name??)
+Sara “Sir Derpsalot” Zhou
That's her family name
+aimia100 I live in the UK and I had the full OST imported from Japan for about £25. That was a bargain in my opinion.
I'm hoping they make another movie or series just for more music lol
Apparently this song was played at one of the concerts for Kalafina (the people who sang the ending themes for Madoka)
Dude I own the live show on disc and that is actually one of my favorite parts of the whole performance :)

Boku dake ga inai machi ga begs to differ. Though tbf, most great anime's will have Yuki Kaijura as the ost composer, she is life

Madoka magica, is the most beautiful necessary piece of art that I have ever seen, and i can give a million personal and objective reasons.

It’s definitely beautiful, but why was it necessary?

Yup just with lots of dancing pilgrim children in the background
*This song starts to play*
Homura and the team:
OKAY LADIES LETS BLOW THINGS UP
It’s the perfect music for explosions
Except Homura wasn't part of the team when this theme played.
Hearing this while shooting my Beretta M9.
I adore the MM soundtracks... They're too amazing to be. This one particularly makes me think it should be a Kingdom Hearts advertisement...
Does this sound like Oktavia Von Seckondorfs theme to anyone, just light-hearted and happy?
Rona Kavanagh Not really, but I can see how you came to that notion, based on how the notes slur into each other like in Oktavia's theme, instead of simply switching from one note to another.
When I heard this In the movie I thought they were playing Octavia's theme
Same tempo and composer will do that.
But it doesn't sound like Symposium Magarum to me at all.
+Rona Kavanagh it really does you're right
This sounds like Kimi No Gin No Niwa by Kalafina
I can see myself dancing to this as ballerina I use to take Ballet class but it wasn’t my thing. But this is just the master piece
Madoka magicka... what can I say.. created by probably one of the best writers in the world Gen urobuchi and now my all time favourite.. brought to me by my brother and I had no idea... no idea at all...
... Am I the only one who heard "Sis Puella Magica" in a few parts? .____.
nope, Its on purpose to stay on the Msmm theme, yuki k. really know how to mix everything into pure music

This is perfect for Victorian era balls and masquerades!
The more I listen to this the more I think this song sounds like a theme for an MMORPG...
Imho it is good enough for a Tchaikovsky ballet
It actually reminds me of a happier version of the Cygnus Garden BGM from MapleStory.
I just realized it has the same note pattern as Kimi no Gin no Niwa
+Galaxxi feels to me more like a more intrumental version of ludibrium
awww, this song and beggining of the movie was so beautiful~ ♥ ^^
Does anyone feel this is a more orchestrated Madoka Magica - Longing?
You are right sir.

I heard the beginning and thought of SisPUellaMagica
when i heard this song man this reminds me about a beautiful ballet performance at the Bolshoi Theatre
Come on that music is the russian ballet

wtf man, I don't speak terroristic
I just realized this sounds a bit like Kimi No Gin No Niwa by Kalafina
I LOVE IT
That beginning is literally sis puella magica.
I feel like the people who made madoka magica told yuki kanjiura to add onto her old songs because they were so successful
This is gorgeous tbh
I wanna be magical
i swear i can hear decretum in this
Es una melodia tan bella que dan ganas de bailar

Mizuki Koneko-chan because it's a nightmare
