What do you guys think? Excited for the possibilities of Nintendo Selects returning? Gonna buy the original prints anyway? Read my full thoughts here, I wrote a full article talking about this: open.substack.com/pub/8biteric/p/these-major-switch-games-are-going?r=1r51gp&showWelcome=true
I've been pressing hard on my PS5 backlog and my daughter regularly plays her Switch. So WHEN this happens, I can pick up a few of the Switcher bangers we've yet to try!
Fire Emblem Three Houses and Fire Emblem Engage are two of the best games in the Nintendo Switch. I’m surprised that middle-aged people like you have not discovered them yet and do not value them next to the Xeno exclusives.
Man hope they do go down to $30. That way I can finally pick up Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario 3D world and Yoshis crafted world. Been wanting to get those games but damn they never go on sale and when they do it’s only like a $5 drop lol but your still paying the full price cuz of tax and shipping lol
Reseller here. The player selects /greatest hits versions of the game makes the price go up for the Og ports for switch. The price for sealed 1st edition games are insane. Mariokart for example is 70$ and up. I’d say try to collect the first edition releases titles sealed rather then the new greatest hits. Greatest hits will always have less value. Even if graded vs 1st release.
I've got pretty much everything I want for Switch. There's some I'd probably sell because it's easier having them on my Steam Deck. Though Nintendo Selects would be smart for Nintendo to drop with the console starting to die down.
Yeah, I kinda have all the games I want for switch at this point with a few small exceptions. I was really trying to clean up the rending physical copies of a few games that I already have or want. I double dip on steam as well, but I had to stop because companies keep going back and adding DRM and online online for games that was currently playable offline. So don't stuck your chest thinking buying digital games on steam is the way to go. Physical games will always have more value and overall just a better choice. At least with Physical games you don't have to worry about licenses and games getting delisted.
I'm too old to be running out and buying games because of fear of games getting rare. It's not that serious people, they're just toys lol they won't improve your life or help you get girls. If they want to go away, then go away! I won't miss them. They're just video games. You play them, then get rid of them.
Nintendo games go out of print frequently so this isn’t surprising. Nintendo doesn’t have to lower their game prices to drive sales. People Buy their games regardless of pricing so could be they just are out of print and will re release the games after switch 2 comes out and people will by them at the same 49.99-59.99. The 19.99-29.99 retail release pricing is over and COVID was a big driver of the new retail sales model. Sony and Microsoft haven’t lowered retail pricing permanently of any of their first party titles with only the occasional sales during holidays or retailers clearing inventory, there is no longer going to be those types of retail price reductions unless the cost of game development decreases which we know that isn’t happening. Physical games will sell at their normal retail pricing and if want to buy the game on the cheap, will have to wait for digital sales, store clearance of stock or holidays.
I think in short term it just means that when They go out of prison he just won’t be able to get them new anymore you’ll have to buy them preowned it just means most likely that they’re just not producing them brand new anymore
Soon there's going to be little to no excuses for gamers to not support game preservation AND start making calls for a 'Right to (personally) Own act' when it comes to games. Advocate for Physical media AND DRM-Free digital under the banner of ownership.
And so fucking what? Many people like myself will gladly buy the games I missed out on the current Switch which still is amazing, despite its age. Team Switch.
This happens with every console generation as they gear up for the next one. Production of current games for current consoles winds down as they prepare for the next generation. Also, these games are usually big sellers so there's lots of copies out there.
Luckily I have Super Mario Odyssey and New Super Mario Bros U and Super Mario Maker 2, i need to get Yoshi’s Crafted World, Metroid Dread and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

I mainly go digital on Switch so I’m unaffected, I do own a physical copy of Dread & Origami King though.
There is possibility Nintendo announces their Selects lineup on the next direct. I just hope they don't mess the spines color.

A Switch Select, Million Club or Switch Saver series would be cool to see. Gets them collectors having to pick up the variants. Lol

Who said I didn’t discover them? I know exactly what they are. Not interested
@@8-BitEric When you express in such disregard, it shows you have not truly discovered them. Good luck.

Ever thought getting used games instead?

I own most of these physically I’m hoping the next gen switch is backwards compatible if not then I need to get an oled and transfer everything to it
$20 or even $30 is more my price range. Not $50 or higher.

As I get older I get it.. in the end you will sell that for your health and to travel the world. Except my Yakuza collection those games change me 😂🎉
What the hell is going on with hello kitty cruisers, why does the price of that game Always go up?
That means the Eshop prices of the Selects titles will be also be reduced

IDK the big 1st party games on Wii are still cheap. It’s different for WiiU games because the WiiU flopped.
We’re probably going to get a new Mario Party before the end of the Switch.
Are the digital versions being discontinued as well?
No but it’s always available on Nintendo eShop.
@@TrollSlayer2001 exactly. No reason to panic
@@charlesvincent9661 Cartridge games are better than digital games though
