I mean this with all respect, but I blurted out "Hot damn..." when I saw Janelle Monae first step onto the screen in this movie. She was shot and framed like the glamorous stars of old, the leading lady, the femme fatale, the woman all men desired... And then the second half reframed her and I really fell in love with her character. Not the superficial glamorous parts, but her actual, inner, true character.
I would be perfectly happy if the next movie was "{something}: A Blanc/Brand Mystery" - their chemistry on screen was flawless. I'd love to see them solving mystery after mystery together.
Daniel Craig is such a stunner with those eyes. Then you fit him with some prime clothing? Chef's kiss. And my girl Janelle NEVER disappoints with her outstanding taste in fashion
Yeah I love his deep voice too! So sexy and manly. I wish he didn’t have to do that accent in the movie cause he sounds so much better in his normal accent.
@@monicaalexandru9638 Perhaps, perhaps not. Nonetheless do I still very much so prefer his smooth British accent over his Western old-timey howdy cowboy accent. Reminds me a lot of the kidnapping scene in Horrible Bosses 2, which was hilarious. But no, it’s just not doing it for me.

The character of the gentleman detective is ironic in itself, a parody to that type of character, and the accent is part of that. Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, rather extreme characters in their very particular habbits, so extreme that they can simply become extremely funny.
I spent about a minute looking at Janelle Monet's hat and wondering why she wore it like that. I'm sure it's fashionable and very cool-looking to some people... but why?

I love this movie, the costumes really reflect the characters, and Janelle showed that she could play two unique roles, as opposed to merely one.
And a 3rd unique role as the 1st unique role trying to act like the 2nd unique role! Peel back the lay-uhs

It’ll be touching on yet another genre/sub genre- buddy cop movie - but refreshing because it will be taken more seriously than most of that genre
