I bet Daniel Craig is thanking his lucky stars that after years of playing THE pinnacle of a recurring role in James Bond, he just so happens to have crossed paths with the best upcoming recurring role in Benoit Blanc. Weirdly exactly what his career needed. Something so opposite to what came before yet shows his acting chops so well

He seemed rather tired and bored with the part of James Bond in Spectre, but he felt a lot more invested and like he's having a bit more fun with the part in No Time to Die, which he made after Knives Out, so I do get the impression that playing Blanc made him feel more reinvigorated and reenergised

Rian seems like the type of director who's proud of his craft but has no toxic ego.

@@purplecoffinman8510 I don’t even agree with that. I loved TLJ. It’s my favorite of the sequels. I just wish we could’ve gotten the same director for all 3 films. Either JJ or Rian, though I really would have liked to see an entire trilogy directed by Rian.
You need to watch his response initially to the last jedi. Might be a little more eye opening than a very skewed video... promoting his movie.
@@percyross7612 i think rian's not really suited to direct huge epics or iconic franchises, he's more suited to films like knives out/glass onion and looper, more self-contained stuff. he's expressed in the past that he doesn't like franchises, so i guess he kind of had a crap time with star wars

‘Enough champagne to fill the Nile’, whoever wrote that in, I love them. The two movies do have a similar vibe.
Except one of them is actually good, and it doesn't take place on the Nile.

Shame we won’t get to see this cast in another movie. Something clicked with them and it’d be great to see them all do different characters but still a knives out mystery.

Here's hoping that Rian Johnson makes a few more of these movies, they genuinely have become some of my favourite movies ever. And they all seem to love working with him!
i hope he makes them over a long period of time, with other unrelated movies in between... Unlike Bond films, which rely on the actor being young enough to do action scenes, Benoit Blanc doesn't ask for Daniel Craig to be young and fit, so unless he dies young or has dementia, and i hope he won't, Craig will be able to play that character even when he's in his 80s.

Daniel Craig seems much more relaxed and laid back than when he was in the James Bind-franchise. He does auch a great job in portraying Benoit Blanc.

see how they run and vengeance are two fun and interesting takes on the murder mystery that came out last year and are worth checking out. also the tv show after party on apple+ did the same thing. there seems to be a mini resurgance in the genre and i'm all for it

I think it would be nice in theory but would eventually get over saturated with everyone trying to do them.
Blanc has got to be every actors dream role, working with Rian Johnson, leading in the coolest franchise, and you get to work with a new group of the coolest actors each time.
they genuinely seem like best friends, their banter and chemistry is so natural. it's always lovely to see a film cast get along with eachother and the director so well
For anybody wondering, Dave Bautista is present. He's just mastered the ability to sit so incredibly still that he has become invisible to the eye.

I feel Edward Norton is soooo underrated; the man has three oscar nominations under his belt, alongside many incredible movie participations, and no one talks about him as much as is deserved
Rian has the genius of Tarantino, but doesn't have the ego. Makes both their films great, but makes Johnson more enjoyable in extra content

when you watch cast interviews like this it makes you appreciate more the great dynamics of actor-actor relationships especially after knowing the nature of their characters' relationship in the movie

I miss the era of the full feature length behind the scenes documentary no one likes to make anymore. Now at most you get like a minute of BTS video intercut with sound bytes.
They were amazing and it's more than obvious they had the time of their lives making this amazing movie together and that's the best ! I love when the cast had fun and delivers a great product! So thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Well when he made the Last Jedi, everybody hated him cuz he wouldn't acknowledged many of the issues with the film. He even got mad at the fans for "not getting it" on a few occasions. He very much behaved like he had a big ego.

@@PixelCrabs Well, that wasn't the actual issue. The fans felt, and it was an overwhelming majority, that what he was doing wasn't respectful to the name "star wars". It's a bit like a muslim feeling like his holy book is being disrespected after somebody writes a summary of it. To simply say "he doesn't get it" means you don't understand the problem.

I saw this movie in the theatre and it's really good. So fun! very entertaining. I'm going to watch it again on Netflix. Definitely worth a another screening!
Our theater was a full house and everybody was with it! The laughs, the intensity, this was def worth going to the theater for.

You’re not the only one! Across the board, I prefer Glass Onion’s characters, plot, location, soundtrack, et cetera. Incredible rewatchability. I think it will grow on people.

I wouldn’t say 10x, but I did prefer Glass Onion (though I did watch it first, and then watched Knives Out after, because of how much I loved Glass Onion). I think, lots of the time, people tend to have a bias for what they watched first. Especially since they then hold any following piece in a series to the expectations of the prior. That’s not what this series is about. Johnson has said himself in interviews how he wants each installment to have its own unique flavor, setting, ensemble, etc. To see Glass Onion as Knives Out 2 is a gravely unfair mistreatment of the film

I enjoyed Glass Onion JUST as much as Knives Out. I think I was more ready to look for tip offs this time around because I was not at all ready for the first film. This cast was phenomenal and fun!

I watched knives out on Sunday and just finished glass onion 5 minutes ago. Both brilliant in their unique ways!!
I think it would be great if Johnson made a few more films and then made one special film that brought together all of the 'survivors' of the cruel people into a mystery of their own. Just my two cents.
This was one of the most enjoyable/fun movies of 2022. Looking forward to #3!
The teaser for Glass Onion is not great, I only watched it because friends told me to do it and I don't regret it. It's a really good movie, I like it better than the first one, the cast is so much fun and I guess seeing all this BTS videos, you can feel that the making of the movie was a good time for them when watching that. As an actor, I'd love to be in that sort of film. Maybe Knives Out 5 or 6 ;)

It would be amazing to see a mystery in Lappland, Sweden. Northern lights make such a beautiful background and the snow can easily remove evidence!

Set design was great and such a fun part of watching this movie.
They all seem pretty genuine here. Usually in behind the scenes stuff it’s just every actor gushing about every other actor and it’s sickly and pathetic. I think this cast really do like and respect each other though.

the imbeciles "fans" who hated the Last Jedi will spend their whole life insulting and harrassing him, no matter what masterpieces he may direct in the future. But when the Last Jedi was released, Hollywood fell in love with him, because they saw how much talent he has, and they know that any movie made by this guy, as long as it's not in a well known Intellectual Property with stupid angry "fans", may be a hit. He know how to write, he know how to direct, his movies are smart and fun, and he knows how to get a memorable performance by his actors.... basically, Hollywood knows this guy will end up winning awards, and actors know he's bound to make them win awards...
