- Somewhere between rock, pop, electronica and R&B lies Drew OfThe Drew. While on their West Coast tour, the band stopped by EMGtv to play their song, "Cry Die Fly". Berklee College of Music guitarist, Maddie Rice shows off her wide range of tones using the EMG 57 humbucker in the bridge with the EMG SAV single coil pickups in the middle and neck positions. Fellow Berklee grad, Drew OfThe Drew, shows just how far you can take the bass with the EMG JX Set, switching between bass and synth tones with total clarity. Really tasty guitar solo. Really surprised me with the mix of shredding and dips of jazz. This song was a nice surprise
That solo was surprisingly good.
Amazed by the open-mindness of EMG audience...
Jeez where did that guitar solo come from!? Sounded awesome!!
Pop music made by people with some actual talent and played with real instruments plus a tasty guitar solo?!Somebody pinch me!
great song.. awesome arrangement..fantastic players!! love this band..Joanna Teters Vocals are amazing!!!
Damn I wish I could pull off a solo like that. Berklee has taught her well. Amazing guitar to suit, love the modded Parker!
The solo and the chord progression that followed were awesome!!
Badass guitar solo!!!!!! And I still don't understand why people would vote against when they don,t like the music....!!
Oh god that solo. goosebumps
Man, this band really got into me and I'm digging especially the guitarist, intriguing solo section with jazz phrases here and there and articulate as well. Million thumbs up :D
Maddie Rice, day-um girl!
Came here to hear the guitar pickups (demo from the EMG site), and was actually pretty blown away. A five piece group with 2 drummers? Killer. This girl plays a REALLY tasty guitar solo. This is above and beyond the usual crap you hear on the radio. I'm actually diggin' the bass tone way too much. Very nice.
Great solo! Wasn't expecting the song to open up so much after it either!
That solo reminded me so much of Carlos Rios with Gino Vannelli .. so good!!
maddie is so on point with that solo. i think im in love
so good. guitarist is great
The only hope for live pop rock music is this kind of stuff. Most brilliant thing I have heard in years.
Why isn't this on the radio? nah their too good for that :D
Mike Mangini can drum that shit with one hand and no feet.
