let's take a minute to appriciate the spartan camera men... running keeping up with machines with all that equipmentf
100% improvement on camera work! Well done covering more obstacles and switching between the men and women athletes!
yeah i was surprised on how good the coverage was.
@@brandoncardwell7271 The camera guy was running the whole course with them, pretty incredible.
@@borderwave2 and i loved every minute of it!
agreed
Great coverage. You guys are improving race by race. Mericle is a beast so far!
Awesome coverage! Would like to see the commentators flitting in and off screen as it used to be but I'm definitely willing to wait 1 day and forego live for an edited version of the race. Well done!
I agree with this too.
Props to these cameramen they did great.
I loved the wtf look on the volunteers face when Nicole just dumped her bucket instead of stacking it like she is supposed to. Also can the commentators please call it out when the athletes half ass their burpees? All in all an entertaining watch.
41:03 Ouch! Nut shot
Why is everyone named Ryan?
Its a Ryan thing
Nice competition. Alternating between males and females race is not necessary IMO. You could create 2 videos and voila!
is this 10k distance???
fit camera people! great coverage
Good stuff. Needed more VJ tho
Yeah the Josh battle is cool and all but have you heard about the battle of the Ryans?
Are there any actual Greeks in this race? :-)
Wish these broadcasters followed Ryan Atkins and Lyndsey Webster off season and saw how much high altitude trading they did every day. If they have mountain series party is over for leaders right now. That goes for Kilian also who has been high altitude off season.
Lol you do realize that Nicole Mericle and Rea Kolb live and train in Colorado right? Not exactly flat lands. Nicole has no weaknesses
That running is killer 😐 I’m totally up for the challenge ✊🏼
the running is the easiest part.
xotkflip Mm.. Keeping that same speed is not easy. Those guys in the lead are extremely conditioned. I used to be a long distance runner back in the days and it’s takes a lot of training to manage a good constant speed.
Do these athletes take in any hydration or nutrition during the event? Very impressive either way.
See 26:03
They do. They also take drugs
@@alexsington not true lmfao 🤣 vee Jay's mile.is like a 4:30 which is very doable
Why is the camera man running so fast
6:39 The guy on the left in the blue.... Does he have APT ? Amazing how he keeps up with a less efficient technique.
how much did the town of mobile pay to talk it up
How much money o they get when they win thee races??
I love the terrain! Real challenging
Great obstacle coverage and commentary. However I miss Kevin Donoghue- he added a lot of good info and energy.
Also, it would be nice and flat w better to have the men's and women's races separated. Especially since the videos aren't live and can be edited.
Glenn Racz The videos are live originally
I think the mindset was the women we’re fresh on the early obstacles so it was more likely to see position changes with them than the men in the later stages of the race. They did make sure to catch Adkins pass and then battle for 4th at the end though
what is veejay's timing?
Where was this?
Robert killian’s finish line moment!
@ 27:01 Standing on top of the fence? Rule 3.01(a) (iii) 4. Says - Standing on the top of the fence or crossing the fence results in an
immediate DQ. Does this not count?
You have a good eye. It’s funny because it says in the rule just before #4 that you do not need to keep your feet on the ground and that you can use the fence for leverage. But you’re right, she looked very close to standing straight up on that initial pull.
I wouldnt consider it "standing" unless you were on the fence without holding onto anything to keep you up, being able to balance on it.
how on earth the cameraman kept the shot steady while running on that field ??? kudos to their effort
Image stabilization tech and a gimbal :D
I prefer the normal way these races are narrated and commentators are on screen as often as not. This one seems to me more of a voiceover commentary. Still good but I enjoyed the commentating of Jax a lot more.
54:08 Dead on prediction there.
57:30 lol :)
who's the hot guy in the thumbnail?
1:02:25 Cameraman trying to prove he can catch up
3:10 when the race starts!
Thank me with a like
Average temperature of 67degrees? So eveyone died?
Jan van Willigen fahrenheit..
Few tips: it's faster to do the rope climb all arms, just jump up high and then pull yourself really quick, only 5 seconds or so. For the rotating monkey bars, try to skip 3 or 4 at a time and keep your momentum going forward. When there are no obstacles try to sprint to the next one instead of jogging. These are a few simple tips, let me know if you want the best tips on every obstacle.
Great race, but very disappointing coverage. Once the women started, we seldom saw the men! That's so weird since the leading woman was by herself the entire time whereas the 2nd and 3rd placed men were separated by just 15 seconds. Also the entire time!! :(
yeah, I thought it is a bit retarded coverage!
Don't forget the men are the best of the best and for the cameramen to be able to stay with them is very difficult, however because the women start a little later they will have more camera people at the areas the women will be and it will be a little bit easier to keep with them than it is the men due to natural differences. Hope that helps x
I would fully agree if the cameramen didn't keep up with the men before the women's race started... But they did! In fact, I'd be happy just to see the men doing the obstacles, but even that was omitted for most of the coverage. And that shouldn't be difficult...
I bet Americans have "Spartan Races" just because they don't have any real Cross Country Running races! haha
Some of the hardest ultra marathons in the world are in the USA
