Love how all the SEC coaches in 2006 screamed the BCS teams couldn't be same conference and ranked Michigan 30th on their ballots ... Then they were all over it a few years later for that LSU-Alabama debacle. Hypocrites.
watched this game with 10 of my favorite people on the planet who have never been assembled together again. Even if Blue lost I cannot forget what this rivalry created that day. Was really special.

This game was the definition of EPIC. This was and will always be the best game I have ever seen in person or on TV. I remember I blacked out 3 times in the 2nd half....and I don't drink.....simply from yelling so loud that I lacked enough oxygen to breath. As a fan I left it all in the stadium. I crawled part of the way back home and died in my bed, but I did get a piece of the field and high street has never been like that........just wow.
I waited 45 years to see #1 vs. #2 in this rivalry battling for the Big Ten title. It brought back memories of the ten year war. WOODY vs. BO ! Both teams made mistakes but they also played their hearts out. Two proud teams going at it like a heavyweight title fight. The 2006 game was by far thee greatest college football game I ever saw. Makes me wish I was there in person.
i have to say even though we lost that was the best and will always be the best michigan ohio state game i have ever seen. Im not ashamned to admit. the better team won.And ohio state is still a good team to this day.They have given us a run for our money these past couple of years. I was at this game along with every OSU-M game since 1969 and it was like no other, as many times that I've been to Columbus...that day, I've never been in a louder stadium in my life! Urban Meyer was a great hire for OSU...and as far a recruiting goes, both of us are cleaning house..the rest of the Big 10 is not even coming close!

As an OSU fan I will say best game I have ever watched! hands down. Not even 2013 Alabama vs. Auburn was better because if you watch the guy stepped out of bounds on that last play but still good game. But Michigan deserved a rematch, and they didnt get it when they lost to the number 1 team on the road by 3. Bama in 2011 lost to the number 1 team at home by 3 If michigan couldnt get in then LSU should have played Oaklahoma State in 2011 for the title just saying

If OSU doesn't have its ridiculously long layoff (This game was on November 18th, I believe. Florida played until the 1st weekend of December), then I believe the national championship game would have at least the competitive game it deserved to be.
I'm a die hard buckeye fan , I cried the day before this game. Hands down, the greatest game I've ever witnessed. I can only hope them boys up north can turn things around and get back in the national spotlight. All Buckeye fans need to be rooting for UofM (to some extent;) ). Even as a Buckeye fan, I would give Michigan's defense a bit more credit (back then, at least, 2002-2006). I remember a lot of great Michigan players on defense, Marlon Jackson, Burgess, Woodley, Branch, etc. The 2006 team was still a respectable Michigan defense.

@NYFlyer1 Defense was a bigger part then the offense putting up many of them points. They had great feild position all game. When you get great feild position you tend to score a bit!

Everybody said after the 24-12 victory in 1969 that no Michigan-Ohio State game would ever be better. Well, the games in 1972-75, 1988, and 1996 were as good if not better then the 69 game. The 06 games was un-frickin-believable, but there might be a better one down the road
