Hi Dominic, for stealth mode, maybe try a piece of black electrical tape with a pin hole in it to cover the Green LED. The pin hole allows you to see the LED and if the pin hole isn't sufficient, a small nail or tack hole may work! Simple, easy, effective.... :) Nice work BTW.
These are brilliant Dominic, really well done. Just a couple of questions. What powerbank are you using to power the Genie ii slider ..?? Does it need to be PD USB-C type ..?? Also is that the Alyn Wallace V bracket under the mini 2 when you run the slider at the angle ..??? Also, I'd be interested in how long the slider sequence is shot for .. interval etc. Once again, really nice work.
Hi Richard, thanks so much 🙂👍. Powerbank here was a little Anker Powercore 13000mAh which uses their Power IQ 2.0 fast charging tech. Think the Genie II's USB wall charger is 18W where this Anker's max output is 15W. Seemed to be enough so that the Genie II Linear batteries didn't drain further, not enough to charge while in use. Good eye on the Alyn Wallace Z bracket there. I find it really good for this situation. It is also multi purpose where the Syrp tilting platform is both more expensive and can only be used with the Syrp. Slider sequences I shoot are usually half an hour, never less than 20 minutes. I'm using the move shoot move function here, but given the fairly mild pan and tilt movement could have gotten away with just using video mode and using the internal intervalometer of my camera. Less cables is always good 🙂👍.
Your timelapses are brilliant! You really inspire me to do more of them myself!
To hear you've inspired others really is the best compliment to ever get. Really appreciate the feedback 🙂👍.

Thanks Alan, the pin prick is a great idea. Thanks for watching 👍
