Christmas is a 12 day celebration . The first day of Christmas (December 25th) is the feast of the nativity. So for most people that's enough. However, I enjoy observing all 12 days of Christmas so it feels more spread out.
@@Patristix So good! The link you posted in the description is an EXCELLENT version. I watched that one a while back. So good! Christmas will save America and St. Wenceslas, St. Nicholas and St. Stephen are leading the way!
Yes!! I just found this channel and I can't stop watching and re-watching the videos. I'm not Orthodox, but I'm from a very liturgical tradition and I'm drawn to the beauty and the theologically rich traditions of the Orthodox church.
Merry Christmas Brother and Happy New Year. I’ve really enjoyed your videos this year and it’s helped me a lot on my journey. Looking forward to the coming year and all the blessings the good Lord will provide 🎉
As a citizen of Czechia, at first I was like WTF is he talking about what "Wenceslas"?. But then I realized the translations are wrong. In Czech, it's "Svatý Václav" LOL. Anyway, good content! Cheers and have a good day."
I just released a cover of Good King Wenceslas today, and I wanted to find something to share with folks that would articulate his significance and stumbled upon this video. Really well done- thank you for creating it! The fact that the songwriter includes the Feast of St. Stephen in this song makes even more sense knowing Wenceslas was martyred. I had known that about him, but never made that connection before!
St Stephen's Day is followed by St John's Day. St Stephen was the first Red Martyr whilst John [the Apostle, Evangelist, Theologian], a White Martyr, someone who suffers greatly for the faith but not actually killed. It is followed by the Holy Innocents, I have heard that there is a symbolic reason for celebrating them in the Christmas Octave rather than after the Epiphany, but I do not remember what it is.
Thank you I never knew who St Stephen was or the King. I wish I had known about the crowning in marriage. I was brought up Baptist and know nothing of this.😢
Thankfully, learning all of this is open to everyone! Would heartily recommend visiting an Orthodox Church to find out more. Thank you so much for watching!

One of our favorite carols. Becoming Orthodox finally made it make sense. Step where the saints step. It’s warm there.
One of my favourite lyrics in a Christmas Carol!

Great content! Thanks so much for this!
Just a matter of time before your channel breaks the algorithm and explodes.
Keep discovering new tea variants in the meantime!

What branch of the orthodox church are you please? Greek, Russian or other? Thank you
Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner 🙏💖
Love all these videos as a newly baptized Orthodox Christian. Would you please consider doing a video on why women veil in the church?
If you are putting the flashing white dots in the videos they are very distracting, or are you near a radio transmitter or something?
